I wish i could tell my keeper to stand in the middle of the net on freekicks. honestly the amount of freekicks i concede a season is crazy, you can just tell every time its a goal and the keeper is just nowhere near it. I dont want my keeper on the opposite side of the net i want him in the middle!
Couple of games in hand on above, but we have collapsed the last month. Lost 3 and drawn 1 of my last 4 sees us plummet down the table as we were touching top spot prior to that!

Premier League
2034/35 (season 12)
Season Summary
Another season in the Premier League. The same number of points as last season. But we gained one position in the league
We were never in danger of relegation, but also miles from any continental games.
My striker duo Walters and Walters did okay with 16 and 15 goals each. But my best player Smith was great. He scored 16 from the midfield and assisted 10 goals.
Unfortunately, I had no players on the NXGN list. I had hoped Cox was on the list. Or maybe Saarinen or Jackson that are close to a breakthrough.
Jack Smith is without a doubt my best player.
Giroud is the second ever player on my team that got the wonderkid description.
Toby Walters won the Players' Young Player for the second time.
The youth intake preview looked promising.
Not very happy with the intake. Only turned out as 3 stars. And no 5 star PA players.
No transfers of significance this season.
Finances and Upgrades
We expanded our stadium once again. It now contains 30,069 seats.
I also upgraded the training facilities. They are now maxed.
Next season
Next season, I just hope to keep developing my players. I think I am a hand full of good players from breaking into top 7.Smith just gets me excited for the time when it drops me a player like that! surely won't be long before he has an england cap too?
Another great solid season there, can't really ask for more, the finances of the premier league are just insane.

FC United Season 14 - 2036/37
Season Preview
Predicted Finish = 23rd
Competitions
League One - 4th League Table Past Positions
FA Cup - Knocked out in the 3rd round by Fulham.
Carabao Cup - Knocked out in the 1st round by Hereford.
PJ Trophy - Knocked out in 2nd round by Everton u21s.
It has been a great season for us, I knew if I could keep the squad together we would have a good shot at the play offs. We lost just 2 players in the summer, Chaplow 31c we already knew about, but Petrie 33a also departed in a Reasonable deal worth £9.25m. With our fantastic four from last season split in half, my ambitions lowered more to a hope. I didn't need to worry though, as Jewell 33d and Liddle 33c stepped up to the plate and had brilliant seasons including this spectacular performance which included 4 goals and 4 assists. We started ok, had a little wobble over Xmas and then went on an incredible 11 game winning run which pretty much secured our play off spot. Going into the final day, 4 teams were still fighting for 2nd place but we dropped 2 points with a draw and this meant a play off against Oxford. We had beaten them just 4 weeks earlier and a 3-3 draw in the away first leg was followed by a 1-1 draw at our place and with no goals in extra time the game went to a shoot out, we held our nerve to seal a place in the final. In the Play Off Final we faced a Grimsby side who we had beaten 4-1 at home and lost 2-1 away to this season, and a tense game ended 2-2. Extra time played out at 2-2 until they nicked the game with the very last kick of the ball. I cant be disappointed as this season has been one full of progress and I really fancy our chances of a title challenge next season.
Playing Squad
I am really happy with the squad at my disposal, we have some really good players for this level backed up by some decent prospects. I fear losing 1 or 2 over the summer but if we can avoid major losses, we can definitely have a crack at promotion next season.
GK - Williams 31b - Our number one keeper and he gets better with every passing year.
RB - Jarman 32a - He wants to play in a better division and due to Askey's emergence I am open to moving him on for the right fee, but the offers so far are nowhere near enough for me to consider.
LB - Diallo 35b - Had some injury problems at the start of the season which has held him back but I am hopeful some more first team action can kick start his development.
CB - Jabra 30a - Is a stalwart in the heart of our defence, even if he turns like a tank.
CB - Macormac 34c - A real break out season for him and is now part of my first choice cb pairing.
CM - Donaldson 29k - He is a key cog in our machine at the moment but I could do with an upgrade soon.
CM - Wood 34a - One player I fear I could lose this summer, has been attracting premier league interest for a couple of seasons now and the way he keeps improving, it wont be long before someone persuades the board to sell.
AMR - Thompson 33e - Grasped his opportunity with both hands and had an amazing season from the right wing.
AML - Rouse 36c - Another breakout star on the Left wing, he has really come on leaps and bounds and is the best trainer at the club.
ST - Liddle 33c - Has stayed loyal even after lots of interest and Is improving all the time. Bagged the POTY award for the season.
ST - Jewell 33d - He goes from amazing to absolute donkey week after week. Put in some stellar performances this season but could have won us the play offs but missed some absolute sitters.
Others.
Askey 35c (RB) - Is developing really well and if Jarman 32a does move on I feel he is more than ready to replace him.
Turnbull 28d (CB) - Is getting less and less important as time goes on but is a valuable squad member.
Mcdermot 24c (CM) - The last man standing from our first intake and I hope I can keep him until retirement.
Mead 34d (AMR) - Has played a few games and looks a good option going forward.
Smith 32b (AMR/ST) - Another player like Jewell 33d, goes from unplayable to awful but is a good option to have.
Walsh 29l (CB/LB) - His importance is diminishing as time goes by and I have had bids from Lille and Spartak Moscow for him this summer, can leave for the right price.
Holden 31e (CB/LB) - Another who could leave this summer, I just cant get him performing and with Brentford and Fulham sniffing around I am hoping I can get a decent fee for him this summer.
Youth Development
Its our best intake for a few years and I am hopeful despite the lack of great personalities. All have performed well in the U18s since coming through the intake and we shall see how they develop over the next few seasons. Loving the different nationalities coming through with a Japanese CM and Danish GK in this years intake.
Finances and Facilities
We got an upgrade to the Training facilities as well as a Stadium Expansion this year. The training ground was done mid way through the season where as the stadium announcement was after the season ended. This will take us up to 10000+ and is another step in the right direction, We are doing well financially, although we lose money ever month, the transfer instalments plus season tickets etc generally cover most of them.
Other
Club icon Onyeka returns as youth coach. He is not very good but its just a nice touch to the save.
quality season! happy to see someone else with FC united too, i am a few years ahead but in the same league. second season in L1 now commenced.

FC United - Season 16 - 38/39
Sky Bet League One
First season in League one, really pleased with the finish. We came 11th in the end, never looked like going higher, we fluctuated between 17th and 11th inbetween, but we looked solid and never in any trouble. My youth intake was really really poor again, 3rd one in a row now - I am starting to struggle with any higher quality players, our team is okay - another year older so that will hopefully be a benefit to trying to better 11th. Our 5 year plan is to establish in league one so no danger of being sacked if I can keep being solid and go for the next push. Never know I might be able to get a playoff push going. Aims for new season: top 10 finish, and see if i can push a cup run somewhere.
Anthony Connor was top scorer again with 31 in the league, turning 31 in a few weeks, hopefully I can get another few good years out of him and get him on the coaching board. 646 in 654 total league goals which is incredible. He is probably close to 700 goals including all the cups etc.
Facilities currently being upgraded so I have zero balance now, but hopefully the facilities will improve from good to great. Would be good to have a good intake this season when it comes around.

Connor is probably the best LLM striker I've ever seen mate, like he was put on this Earth to do one thing and one thing only.
Probably for me too in any of the FM and CM versions. I mean, he would of been out of his depth quite quickly in a higher division but because I Just couldnt get out of that bottom league he racked up silly goals. Basically the balls used to go in the channels or down the middle and he would be in on goal and score. His all round game is quite poor and if he doesn't score in a game his rating is usually under 6. But i am okay with it as he has scored and scored and scored. Interested to see him in League One now at 30/31 soon and on the decline but hes a machine. Hoping he will become a member of the coaching team in the future as he is one of the reasons i have enjoyed this save so much.
I would be interested to see what his actual PA and CA would be

FC United of Manchester - Season 15 (37-38)
Sky Bet League Two
Well, I remember reading a week or so ago about getting out the bottom league was the hardest and it started to get a little easier in the next divisions for a bit. Well Promotion from the Vanarama North resulted in Winning the Vanarama National, and this season winning the League Two playoffs. 3 promotions on the spin and into League One. My extended 13 seasons spent in the lowest league building foundations seems to have done the trick!!
We needed a win in the final 2 games to achieve automatic promotion, however we stumbled and lost them both. Resulting in a playoff in which we met Birmingham in the final (who beat us last day to stop promotion) it was revenge time as we ran out 3-1 winners in a tight encounter only up until the 93rd minute we hit the 3rd goal. Over the moon!!
Our last two years intakes have been really poor and nobody pushing the starting lineup, so we consist of a mainly 20-21 year olds now from a few seasons before who are okay. Would of liked to have a few more younger players in there but i am hoping now if i can establish myself in League One we will grow, starting to finally get all the players onto full time contracts. Our balance is okay at £1.3m but not enough to get any more upgrades. We are getting bids for our players but the bids are 50k max. I am going to let one of them go if i can soon and sell the 50% clause immediately to raise some cash as the youth setup is slowly starting to leak cash. We just don't make enough.
I am finally a club icon now on the list, hopefully a legend soon.
Long term goals: get a stadium named after myself, and hopefully one day get a son through the academy - I have had neither of these in any FM to date.Season 16: we go again, aims are to avoid relegation from League One, i think we are just about strong enough - however i faced a L1 side in the cup who were bottom of the league and they beat me 5-1 so we will see, big step up as I think Leeds are in that league too.
League Table:
Our stadium was upgraded from 4400 to 6150 during the season which was great. We also ended up winning the Papa Johns trophy, in which we got lucky with the draw and faced multiple u21 sides including the final.
Our best player is still Anthony Connor, who is now 30. 615 goals in 616 league games from the start, a club legend, a Manchester hero like Oasis, there is a battle between both of them for who is top. He is starting to decline slightly now, but we haven't had a striker in over 10 years to help the load so he is always fatigued but I play him anyway.

FC United Season 14 - Vanarama National
We make the league structure! Sky Bet League Two here we go.
Well, you guys were right. Getting out of that Vanarama North was the hardest part, we have only gone and won the league in the National first time. and by some distance too, we were superb from start to finish.
We finally got the go ahead to turn professional too, we have £3m in the bank - and a nice squad with a bit of depth now building. The intake was average, but it gave me a couple of backups who could give us a bit of something. The 11 is actually quite strong, i worry about injuries.
Not sure on the step up to L2 in quality, but i feel like the added training, added staff plus how we are playing at the minute we have a really good chance of a push again.

Just out of interest guys, is it normal that after holidaying a season, in the Conference north/south leagues in England, for some teams to have swapped divisions (ie. last season Braintree were in the South, but now down as the North?)
Yes it's normal. It does happen in real life too depending on the location of relegated and promoted teams etc to balance out leagues, providing they finish in a safe spot.

I think I found the problem with my last 13 seasons, my goalkeeper was just that poor, i never had a problem scoring the goals but i conceded so many.
Now in the vanarama national, we are flying. Same formation, same players apart from our keeper a 16 year Nigerian who actually has hands to keep the ball out already fighting bids from him for 5k
Tom King, our original keeper, first youth intake keeper - now 28 had a sterling career with us. 491 league games, 921 goals conceded haha.
Our new keeper has kept 7 clean sheets in 10 games and we have conceded 4 in 10. I think everyone was right when they said this could be the start of something!!
Flying is an understatement.

Well deserved! I hope you are on a roll now.
That striker and his numbers are like a dream for a lower league team.Yeah, he's right up there with my all time favourite players for sure. Incredible I actually got him on season 3 with awful recruitment and awful facilities. But he came through with 14-15 finishing and some pace so he was perfect for this level. He wouldn't be anywhere near these goals if I didn't spend 13 seasons down here feel like Conference National will be his level and possibly not bad in league two.
Bit concerned about the 5 year board plan - initially we spent 13 seasons and it was only the last few when we were hitting the playoffs that they wanted me to push mid table of the league. They already want me to hit playoffs this season first time, and in 5 years gain promotion from League Two! not sure how realistic that is.

FC United - 2035/2036 - Season 13 - Unlucky for some......
But not for me this time! finally, the 13th season of the challenge, we have won the playoffs and are out of the Vanarama North! We had a barnstorming second half of the season which propelled us from mid table to finish 3rd, with a record points haul. Still not enough to take top spot. We eased past Southport in the playoff final where we faced St Albans who came 2nd. a 1-0 closely fought win at Wembley. Finally! We move to the Vanarama National.
I actually think this is the start of something very good, the squad has some quality, a good blend of new youth and some experienced youth from the years. Our youth setup is good too, and a little bit of cash left in hopefully they will make us professional or the cash will go towards an upgrade as soon as possible. Over the moon with that one, progression and persistence. that was the 4th time in the playoffs in 5 seasons, I deserved the promotion this time!

Championship
2031/32 (season 9)
Season Summary
We did it! We are in the Premier League! We played okay in the first half of the season. But after New Year we only lost two games, the 1st of January and a stupid 5-0 defeat against West Brom. A young striker stepped up and scored 19 goals in 13 games in January, February, and Marts.
We also had two good Cup runs. In the Carabao Cup we lost to Stoke in the Quarter Final. In the FA Cup we won against Spurs, but lost to Chelsea in the next match.
My players have continued to develop very well and we have never had so much depth as now. We have good players in most positions except at the fullbacks. My best players:
Patrick Walters (the two Walters players are unfortunately not related) is my best player and performed well with 16 goals and 14 assists. He has been with me since Vanarama North
Glover is another important player on the DM position:
Zerrouki has developed into a very great goalkeeper. I think he is ready for the Premier League!
N'Guessan is my best defender. I play him as a DC.
I had 2 players on the NXGN list.
Smith is a star player and number 6 on the NXGN list. He is currently wanted by 17 (!) Premier League Clubs and he currently have a release clause for higher divisions. I really hope I can keep him untill we officially are regarded a Premier League club.
Toby Walters stepped up as a striker in 2032. He scored 19 goals in the 13 matches in the first 3 months of the year. Well done for a striker with relatively low finishing and composure.
Before the season Toby Walters was number 2 in the Golden Boot award at the Euro U21.
The youth intake preview looked very disappointing. Only 3 stars. But a top prospect in the CM.
The intake was as expected. A great player for the CM. But I really hope mu top talents will step up this year.
The transfer of significance this season was the sale of McDermott. McDermott was my young backup keeper. I did not think he was talented enough to break into the first team so I accepted a bid for him.

Before the season the board announced that they will increase the youth level. I hope it will be done after this season. We will also soon move into our new almost 15.000 seater stadium. Just in time for Premier League football!
Next season
Next season, I hope to keep my best players. And hopefully, it will be enough to avoid relegation.Hell of an effort with that one, amazing players and amazing results! I am still in the North after 12 seasons where did I go wrong!!

FC United - Season 12 - (Still blasting away in Conference North)
Well this was gutting, we were superb all season, level with top with 2 games to go, we ended up losing them both of which if we had won them both we would have finally been crowned champions on goal difference. It wasn't too be, and we ended up facing York in the playoffs who destroyed us 4-2. Gutted is not the word, 3rd time in 4 seasons we have been beaten in the playoffs.
So unlucky now - just can't get out of this league.
Our best player from the youth intake, and probably my best one to date. Think we will struggle to keep this lad for any kind of period.
Summary:
Healthy finances, good youth facilities and training facilities on the way for upgrade. We are not far off now, just need a slice of luck. Season 13 to commence i will not give up!

Seems you are scoring plenty but also conceding a lot. Are the goals coming from open play or set pieces? I’d probably try focusing on a counter attacking formation especially is you have pace up top.
Yeah, I cannot stop conceding goals it has been a problem in every season, i am wide open. Have tweaked in alot of areas and I haven't been able to find the right formula. My 2 CB's are so slow, and they get done over the top so often even when on drop back or low defensive set up, they still always seem to get caught out. My keeper is also pretty poor and there is nothing I can do about that, i just haven't had a decent enough keeper as yet. We are 15 points off the playoffs at the half way stage, it is going to take something quite incredible to get near but we will give it a shot!

Finding it really frustrating now this one. 11 seasons in and still feel nowhere near getting out the league. Just cannot find the working tactic, thought i had it last year but losing in the playoff final 6-1 seems to have killed me. Started off the 11th season horrifically and struggling to find consistency. All my team stats through the league are right up there in the top few, shots/crosses/shots on target/possession.
Facilities are finally in a good position, team is okay - nothing too special. Feel like I am probably about the ability of where I should be really media prediction was 14th again. But the last two seasons gave me hope making the playoffs twice.
Sorry just on a bit of a moany post here frustrated!
