Sooner or later I always try to play a "Hoofball" save but end up failing. I won't give up until I can get good results with the "Route One" preset. I think a small mentality change may be the key to unlock the true potential of HOOF

I shouldn't need to download a third-party created skin to have access to the Instant Result button.
Make it available in the preferences just like the In-Game Editor
(and no, holidaying is not the same as instant resulting as I've seen posted around these parts)

And by the way, I've heard nothing from SI to suggest they've bumped up injury levels to real life figures which I wish they would do, because if anything, it's way too low.
I know that SI used less % of injuries than real life, but this year I'm not sure what's happening because when I have an injured player often the other players for the same position also get injured. So it's not just a frequency issue but perhaps every player on the same position issue. I don't know more details though.

4 seasons in, my feedback for issues to be looked at is:
Too many injuries
Too many goals
Squad happiness not working properly

This makes sense although I'd 100% delegate this to my staff. But more than the choice of who warms up, the consequences are interesting

Detail level "minimum" to process faster
"Screen flow" remove all ticks and screens
All media interaction delegate to staff
Decline recruitment meeting, staff meetings, etc
Instant result
Doing this, I can go from one match weekend to the next in about 3-4 minutes. I don't skip matches, so in the end playing a match then going through the week until the next match is about 10-12 minutes.

I skip all media interaction. Doesnt do anything to me or to the players.

After two seasons, perhaps too many goals from outside the box and too many injuries.

I play an attacking 4231 that scores and concedes many goals. Are there many goals per game even or more cautious tactics?

My rule of thumb that works 95% of times is: be aggressive and demanding during the game, and be calm and supportive before and after. I feel that easing the players' nerves when the ball is not rolling gets a good reaction, and tightening up on them during the game for an immediate reaction also works and they don't get angry or demotivated.

I never managed Athletic but have wondered if there was a default search filter that only showed players meeting club philosophy. From what you've written I guess there isn't.
If you set scouting assignments chosen by the AI will they still scout worthless (not Basque) regions/comps?

In staff responsibilities, if I set to recommended staff member, the game assigns the Director to take care of U19 transfers and loans instead of the HOYD. Is this a bug?

What are the continental qualification places? Asian Champions League for top 4 and is there a secondary continental comp?

I am still using the FM23 tactic, yes!
I'm also using this tactic, marvelous creation from smp20. My results are the same as yours, many goals and injuries but it works great.

edit that file to the scaling you wish. I think you need to restart the game to see the changes

As a general rule skins don't work from one year to another because some panels always change. Graphics like faces and kits work every year, but old skins in new versions always have bugs.

Is it better to have less leagues with large db, or more leagues with smaller db?
Also, with many leagues loaded and a subsequent 1* or 2* rating for my expected performance, is this viable for a long term save?

I believe the OP was asking why aren't these tiers included if they're well researched and are easy to activate using the editor.
Not everyone is comfortable using the editor, and in my opinion the more leagues and divisions available from the start, the more interesting the game becomes.

i think you should post this as a bug report in the match engine bugs, if you think the WBs do not attack the box like they sometimes do in real life
