  1. This database partially does but for half of the OFV region only (with a couple of compromises to reality) : It would be a huge task to set up for all regions to the 5th level as not all teams are active in the original database (even at the 3rd level) Besides I made the decision only to do the OFV region for gameplay reasons (1. Processing will be slow as would add 100+ divisions 2. Most teams would have no/few real players)
  2. Here is an updated file that works with the latest database, tested to 2031 with no issues. (A few minor fixes also applied relating to competition rules) Recommended to load with the file that puts the Liechtenstein youth teams back in the U19/u18 European competitions, also re-validating against 24.3/24.4 Liechtenstein in Euro U19U18.fmf Swi OFV 24.4.fmf
  3. If anyone knows how to merge the two files into one and can send it back to me, we could be in business swi_lie_cup_24_3.fmf Swiss OFV FM24.3.fmf
  4. thanks to @cleiria for extracting the 24.3 Liechtenstein Cup rules I have found the problem- the new settings are looking for the participating teams in the Swiss Lower League, and they are not there in my database file because they have been moved to the OFV league. Fixing it is another thing- I can edit the Liechtenstein Cup rules in a standalone file, but I don't know how to edit them within my overall database (There is some level of hard-coded with the Liechtenstein Cup that makes it not fully visible in the Swiss rules- possibly because the rules are for a different nation in terms of continental cup qualification etc.- yet they are still in the list of competitions under Switzerland) I have tried converting to XML and pasting the Cup rules from the standalone file into my database file but I am getting a parsing error when loaded- this might be because I have pasted them in the wrong place or might be because the hard-coding makes it impossible - anyone with advanced knowledge of the editor who can point me in the right direction would be welcome, otherwise might not be able to get this working for the update unfortunately...
  5. I tried, but the Liechtenstein Cup settings have been changed in the 24.3 update causing the validation error somehow- These are not visible in the standard Switzerland Advanced Rules so cannot see what the problem is. It is not clear why it does not work because the 24.3 rules are the same as "Liec Cup Update " file in the first post which works fine with the 24.0 database (i.e. all the Liechtenstein teams for the Cup are in the database so it should work- must be a hidden setting in the 24.3 rules causing the conflict)
  6. Hello, I am not sure why you (and others who have been direct messaging me- would prefer people asked in this thread btw in future, so the same question does not need to be answered multiple times, thanks) cannot find the files, they are there in the first post in this thread and have been there continuously since Nov 25 as far as I am aware
  7. It's not- but not to worry, it is possible to play this one with FM 24:
  8. Unless you've got a conflicting file, probably you didn't select the divisions to be down to tier 7 when you started the game. It defaults to Challenge League and above, you need to select the level you want to go down to before starting a new game.
  9. @cleiria Do you know how to extract other competition rules that aren't normally extractable? I'm thinking in particular of the U19/U21 European qualifiers (as want to add Liechtenstein U19 back in as they are entered in the current cycle in real life & possibly* remove Liechtenstein U21 who aren't. * if I can add them back to the next cycle, as not great for playability if they never enter seasons into the game) Many thanks EDIT: Don't worry, searched the internet and found out how to do it from an unofficial FM site
  10. Thanks for testing this works, but normal etiquette to ask original creators before you upload files made by others- I don't particularly mind, but others might for future reference- cheers
  11. Okay, additional file now added to the original post for correct Liechtenstein Cup format (thanks again @cleiria for default file) Have also added to the original post a (now working- thanks @themodelcitizen) file that allows the Liechtenstein teams to be champions
  12. Thanks- useful, I'll see if I can incorporate this into an updated file- alongside the champions fix
  13. not that I am aware of, think it's hard coded The format in game is not quite right, which has been raised to SI and acknowledged, hopefully they will fix in the post transfer window update, but I imagine not top of their priority list
  14. If you verify a single division instead of trying to do <All> it seems to work: The interface might be a bit misleading, but actually this seems to be one of the improvements for FM24 as seems to be much quicker to verify than Fm23, plus if you make a minor change rather than verifying all divisions, one division seems to do the trick.
  15. Ah must be hard-coded then- I couldn't find any other options in the editor that looked like it could change it
  16. I think you're right these are the real rules, but I agree with @bobjuh and don't like it either- it's there part of the deal for Liechtenstein teams to play in the Swiss league I believe, but a hypothetical situation that will probably never be tested. Would be interesting to see what happened if it occurred, I have found this setting in the default part of the database, and have turned it off, and uploaded an alternative database attached to this post. (Can't really test if it works for certain but assume it does)
  17. Maybe, but the intention of the database at the lower levels is more to play as one of the Liechtenstein teams (Can of course be used for Swiss teams too, but not below 2nd league interregional- I played with setting up more expanded 2.Liga Regional & 3.Liga Regional in previous FM versions, but just wasn't worth the database effort plus found detrimental to gameplay having so many weak teams setup)
  18. EDIT: New files added to: 1) Swi OFV FM24 Liec can be champions Unlock Liechtenstein teams being able to be Swiss champions (strictly speaking, not real life rules, but if it ever occurred in reality would be interesting to see what happens) 2) Liec Cup Update Corrects Liechtenstein Cup to current real life format (will need to select this file individually alongside one of the two Swi OFV FM24 files (depending on whether you want Liechtenstein teams to be able to be Swiss champions or not) when starting a new game 3) Liechtenstein in Euro U19U18 Restores the Liechtenstein U18/U19 to UEFA Qualifying as they are in real life (having sat out for a few years- in real life they are sitting out the current U21 UEFA Qualifying, but its unlikely that will be permanent so have left as is) Following popular file last year, here is the FM24 version along similar lines. Swiss Cup has 100% correct qualification Swiss Promotion League (level 3) activated with 100% real rules including player eligibility (including U21 teams), season periods, Swiss Cup qualification & realistic finances Swiss First League Classic (level 4) activated with 100% real rules including play-offs, player eligibility (including U21 teams), season periods, Swiss Cup qualification & realistic finances Swiss Second League Regional (level 5) activated with 90% real rules* including best runners-up, season periods & Swiss Cup qualification * only relegation to the OFV region activated for a few reasons (takes too long to set up missing teams & leagues in database; takes too long to process game with 100s of extra teams) Unlike last year, only half of the OFV structure is fully activated with 90% real set up* and rules. * i) instead of 2 groups at the top level (2.Liga) only 1, instead of 4 groups at the second level (3.Liga) only 2, and this time 3 groups at the third level (4.Liga) activated. ii) No any missing teams added to database this year , so had to shift teams across divisions slightly to make it work (Wanted to create 4.Liga so the Liechtenstein reserve teams get game time, plus database for other OFV teams improved this year & just my preference, but I don't like adding players to real teams or teams to be full of grey players) iii) Still has working league structure, real-life Swiss Cup Qualification plus the extra chance of a trophy to become the OFV 'Regionalmeister' if you win the OFV Group 1 against the inactive Group 2 winners Regional U19 Youth leagues plus U18 for the top three tiers Liec U17 players too young for database added The intention of this database is to play as one of the seven Liechtenstein teams: Vaduz The dominant Liechtenstein Club, perennial Cup winners (a record 49 times) and the only to have played in the Swiss top-flight (or indeed the top two tiers) as well as being the only fully professional outfit. Currently in the Challenge League (2nd level) after becoming the first Liechtenstein team to qualify for the Group Stage of European competition last season. (In 23/24 real-life went out in the first qualifier this year and are midtable) Play at the national stadium USV Eschen/Mauren Semi-professional The second-best team in recent years, the last team to wrest the Cup from Vaduz in 2012, though only fourth in the all-time list with 5 titles in total. Currently in the First League Classic (4th tier) and have never played higher than this though have made the promotion play-offs a couple of time. (In 23/24 real life have made a good start to the season looking like promotion contenders) Stadium is used for the U-21 national team Balzers Semi-professional Historically the second most successful with 11 Cups, but last in 1997. Never played higher than the First League Classic, but back at that level after immediately bouncing back from relegation the season before. (In 23/24 real life have made a terrible start to the season looking odds-on to go back down again, though have improved slightly since the managerial team and Liechtenstein legends, the Polverino brothers were sacked) Ruggell Amateur. Never won the Cup, though reached the final 7 times Currently in the OFV 3 League (7th level) which they are leading in real life at the half-way stage having only dropped points in 2 games Have the best training facilities as national team facilities are based in Ruggell. Schaan Amateur. Won the Cup 3 teams, last in 1994 Currently in the OFV 3 League (7th level), and spent a single season in the 2 Liga Regional ten years ago, before plummeting as low as the 8th level. On the way back with a new national training centre being built (due to be completed spring 2026 which will see their facilities eclipse Ruggell and Vaduz) and in have won 11 out of 11 in real-life. Triesenberg Amateur. Never won the Cup, reaching the final for the first and only time so far in 2015. Currently in the OFV 3 League (7th level), mid-table in real-life but in the Cup semi-final against local rivals Triesen with a chance for a second final Triesen Amateur. If there's such a thing as a sleeping giant in Liechtenstein, it's Triesen who dominated the early years of the Cup in the last century. Still third in the all-time list with 8 titles, though none since 1975 (which was the last-time they reached the final) Currently in the OFV 3 League (7th level), mid-table in real-life but in the Cup semi-final against local rivals Triesenberg with a chance for a first final in almost 50 years Liech U17 players.fmfSwiss OFV FM24 Original Database.fmf Swi OFV FM24 Liec can be champions.fmf Liec Cup update.fmf Liechtenstein in Euro U19U18.fmf
  19. No, I thought about it but below the Second League it is set up asymmetrically similar to last year, with only relegation to the OFV activated anyway so not 100% true to life below the 5th tier.
  20. Very shortly- just been testing on holiday 15 seasons with no crashes
