Thanks for the reply. I've uploaded another save called "Leca no badge.fm". It's right at the beginning of the 2030/31 season and the option to request a coaching badge is available.

It's now 2030. I just got promoted to the Portuguese 2nd division - have been at the club for 2192 days. Just got refused a National C coaching badge again.

This is absolutely insane, SI. A response would be nice.

Hi, I have the same issue.

My player Adam Urban 25a suddenly had the promise fail. I'm doing the Youth Academy challenge - almost the entire squad are players from the academy.

Have uploaded 2 saves:

Viktoria Zizkov.fm - promise failed on 24th May.

Viktoria Zizkov Urban Promise - saved 21 days before the promise ends.

Yeah, I have it disabled on my actual saves - only ever use it for testing purposes.

Just tested on FM23, and again, editing the Working with Youngsters attribute of chairperson immediately allows Youth Facilities upgrade.

Very disappointed to see this issue is still in FM23.

@Kyle Brown Hi. Editing the Working with Youngsters attribute of the chairperson to 20 enabled the option to request a Youth Facilities upgrade after one Continue click in both mine and WhiteCat33's saves. It seems that single attribute is far too heavily weighted in the decision making process, even going so far as to permanently block the request from appearing for multiple in-game years. I don't think this was the case in earlier versions of FM22 as I was able to build up multiple clubs previously. It's something to look at for your team, anyway.

@WhiteCat33 If you want to upload the file somewhere and message me a link I could tweak the value and see what happens. Would take 5 minutes and might allow you to carry on with it or maybe just give you peace of mind.

This was really annoying me so I started playing around on my save. By editing my chairperson's Working with Youngsters attribute from 11 to 20, using FMRTE, it enabled the ability to ask for Youth Facilities upgrade the following day.

However, I guess doing so would be against the rules/spirit of the Youth Academy challenge.

I've since left Japan and joined Ivory Coast, and the staff sidebar button works fine.

I've tried resigning from club and just being Japan manager, still have the same issue. Also tried retiring the manager and adding a new manager at Japan, same issue. Maybe it's a Japan thing?
