I'm really liking what I've seen of the game so far, and I'll admit that I'm starting to warm to the social feed. I thought it'd come across as a bit tacky, but to be fair, I'm loving some of the fans' comments - particularly about the squad number announcements!
But this is why I'm here, though. I've just lost my second league game as Millwall manager 7-1 to Franchise FC. Kieran Agard scored FOUR goals. (Please don't ask. ) Here's what happened next...
I don't believe I have seen that before. Nice touch.

Didn't really read about FM release this year. Are they still doing the classic mode? I just can't see that its available in the beta.
Thanks
Football Manager Touch is its own standalone game this year.

A couple of screenshots from an FM13 holiday save (click on the images to enlarge):
Holland had Rain Man as manager for a while. (I know the spelling's not quite right, but still...)
After leading England to the Quarter Finals of Euro 2036 and World Cup 2038, Lewis Dunk was always destined to move on to bigger and brighter things at... er, Alfreton Town in the Conference North.

Liechtenstein in the EURO 2020 group stage? Just wtf? They were dead last in their qualifiers group, faced Moldova (who were also dead last in their group) in the playoff semi final and then Armenia who finished 5th. What exactly am I missing here?
I think it's something to do with the upcoming Nations League. Every division gets a qualifying spot for the Euros, hence why Liechtenstein can qualify from the lowest division if they get lucky. Someone will probably explain it a bit more clearly.
I've seen Malta qualify for the World Cup before (albeit in CM00/01), so nothing's impossible.

I was just wondering what Jamie Vardy would be doing this year in my FM13 save. Well... let's just say he's not having a party.
Also, I know that Yann Sommer is Borussia Moenchengladbach's first-choice keeper in real life, but this is ridiculous!

You do know there's a real footballer called Creedence Clearwater Couto, right?
Apropos of nothing, here's a screenshot from my first FM16 save, which I was playing a couple of months ago:
If you're not sure what this is about, I took Jamie McCluskey on trial for my Annan team... but on the same day that he started his trial, he left us in the lurch and signed for East Fife! He was with us for only a few hours!
I could tell you the nickname that I subsequently gave Mr McCluskey... but this is a family forum, so I'd better not!

The player won't take a coaching role straight away - they'll just be available to become a coach in the future. You'll have to give them a new contract to appoint them as a player/coach.

Sorry for upsetting any Americans on Christmas Day, but I thought this screenshot from FM13 was quite funny!

Essex senior football league have no relegation spot?
There is no direct relegation from the Essex Senior League in real life.

The World Snooker Championship might be on at the moment, but that's not stopped this guy from trying his hand at another sport:

A few more screenshots from my FM13 save...
I think this game was a little one-sided.
After spells at Tottenham, Manchester United and Fulham, Dimitar Berbatov's career seems to have gone downhill somewhat.
(Yes, Grimsby are still in the Conference Premier.)
And finally, I briefly considered signing this fella for Romford... but his demands were a bit excessive.

Looks like a bit of name editing was done here. I mean, the names "ThankGod" and "Salami" are hardly in the names database in the game, let alone being put into the same name on a player?
Just saying
I've seen a fair few ThankGods and Salamis over the years. Indeed, in my long-term FM13 save, Southampton have a top-class centre-back called Sunny Salami.

I was playing the FM15 demo this morning when I stumbled across a rather amusing result in the friendly between Exeter Under-21s and Coventry Under-18s:
What happened to those poor Coventry lads, you ask?
Oh deary me! The only Coventry players who even touched the ball were the goalkeepers (number 1, and his replacement number 2). The others were too cream crackered to do anything!
It does make you wonder, though, how the goalkeepers could each complete 3 passes!

I'm sure a lot of you have heard of
. Well, here are two more boys the great Johnny Cash could have written songs about...A boy named Hayley:
A boy named Elizabeth:
Both are greyed-out players.

It's probably an 8-bit integer - basically, that means the limit is 255 and the number resets after surpassing that.
I presume you're managing Brentford. How did the shootout go?

and that Sunderland history is really weird, surely CL football wouldn't have been that bad for them? maybe it was (though given their history, it's likely that they fluked the win)
I have no idea how that happened, but it was, as I said, a really bizarre save. I also remember that Brentford were Premiership runners-up in one season and relegated the next. You don't get that much volatility in the newer FMs, do you?
I've got something else to share from that save. The World Cup winners in 2010 were...
And in my main FM13 save, the 2014 World Cup was won by...
In other words, I have seen Ukraine win two different World Cup tournaments (in two different versions of CM/FM) that they didn't even qualify for in real life.

I had a really bizarre career save on CM00-01. Here are just some of the most amusing highlights from that save:
There was a somewhat surprising team at the 2002 World Cup.
Bolton were pretty bad in 2004.
Sunderland were Premiership champions in 2007. Twelve months later...
I could make a joke about Quim, but this is a family forum, so I won't.
Real Madrid and AC Milan both narrowly avoided being relegated from their leagues. Bayern Munich were not so lucky.
A year later, an even bigger giant fell...
In my first full season at Motherwell, I signed left-back Tony Vaughan on a free transfer. But just six days later, Tony sought a new challenge.
After scoring a hat-trick against my Motherwell team, Kevin Rapley took his celebrations a bit too far.
What's wrong with this screenshot of the FIFA World Rankings?
And finally, something that really came out of left field...
(I wasn't managing them, by the way.)

And now, 20 minutes into my very next game, I'm 4-0 up at Peterborough!
I really love this game sometimes!
EDIT: We won 7-1 in the end! Lee Gregory scored FOUR goals! (Please don't ask! )
