  1. I held back on using RMD for Muller over personal preference haha, I'm not too big on specialized roles since I find them restrictive. I wouldn't be opposed to using it against specific opposition though. I agree on AP for Ozil.
  2. First game against minnows Liechtenstein was easy enough to allow for some experimentation. 'Dribble Less' was added to AP(S). WB(S) were changed to FB(AT). After going 6-0 up in the first half CF(S) became CF(AT), with the F9 role being used in the last 10 minutes. I wanted to close the game out as early as possible so I ticked up closing down and added counter-pressing as an instruction. In a game that had everything, Havertz contributed nothing. He wasn't helped by some of the younger players missing sitters.
  3. Gave up on the olympiacos save due to real life getting in the way (working at an airport does things to your body), but I fired up fm22 for a couple of tests with a more refined set of instructions: Neuer having 'tackle harder' still tracks but I removed distribution instructions due to his traits. The role of the 10 is something that also needed work. Watching Özil highlights in and out of the national team made this harder than it should have been. 'Enganche' would have been viable if this was fm18 but given the lack of positional freedom that wasn't going to fly. I settled on 'AP' with 'move into channels'. This is a very liberal interpretation of his role but that's enough for me. I'll try my best to update the thread from here on out haha, pretty excited to try this out again.
  4. Joachim Löw's 8 year quest for a fourth star was kicked off by refining Jürgen Klinsmann's tactical approach in time for EURO 2008. Possession was still a priority, but time players spent on the ball was reduced. The system would prove to be successful, as they made it to the final after an intense knockout stage. The influx of young players brought into the fold would produce a third place in the South African World Cup, a semi-final berth in Poland at EURO 2012, and a dramatic 1-0 win at the World Cup final in Brazil, which had been proceeded by an infamous 7-1 trashing of the hosts. A semi final berth against hosts France at EURO 2016 showed promise for a new system, but all hope was dashed after a humiliating group stage exit at the Russian World Cup. And the less said about EURO 2020 the better. Be wary of the fact that this isn't exactly a plug and play tactic, Ive gone through at least 4 versions of this system before starting this topic xD
