Just because I'm hosting a network game and I've got a great tactic. From experience, I know downloading an update ballses it up. Can't really not use the Internet if I'm playing online though. Oh well... -
Does anyone know how you can stop the game from automatically patching? I can't remember how to do it.

Just browsing the advanced editor rules and was looking at Scottish work permit rules. What does 'Threshold Value' mean and why is it set to 2900 for the 'Appeal Bid'?

Hi. Does anyone know how to increase the ESC (elite signicant contribution) player slots for English clubs? It's 4 for the Premier league & championship and 2 for leagues one & two. I've had a look in the editor & advanced rules but I can't seem to find it...

True. But why wouldn't you? Great players. I'm more bothered about the AI trying to sell good players one season in. I like a bit of escapism but it just doesn't seem realistic. I appreciate Mcginn struggled a wee bit with form at the back of last season, but he's Villas captain. In game & real life. Plus his stats are great and he's only 28. It just doesn't feel right. Arguments aside, Trent & Maddison on the list in 2024 just seems off...

I get that having played FM for numerous years. It just doesn't sit right that Trent, Maddison & Mcginn would be on the list as quickly as that. IMO, it just doesn't feel realistic. I thought the new, improved FM was aiming for better AI managers decisions? Worringly, that just seems like after one season, you can pick up British International quality players at a knock down price. Which means the game becomes too easy again after a few seasons. Hardly bodes well for a challenging, long-term save...

Crikey! That's not good. The game makers were priding themselves for AI managers decision making. It certainly detracts from the realism.

I've started a couple of games on the beta and both times I've seen John Mcginn on the transfer list at the start of a new game. Seems a bit off to me seeing as he's Aston Villa captain IRL and has some great attributes...

They should have done midnight Thursday release time. That would have made everyone happy. Monday 4pm is a crap time.

Yes you can 'dumb it down' a bit in England if you go into the advanced editor rules and set it to Scottish rules which are far more relaxed and the chances of getting a WP on appeal are far more improved. That way it keeps the brexit rules.

It would appear that the players 'Attributes' screen has the same issues as its had on previous versions which are very irritating. Namely, the 'Positions' panel is far too small on a normal laptop screen, the information panel adjacent to it is just wasted space, and the 'player traits' panel, you still have to scroll through it which seems unnecessary considering the size of the wasted info panel under it...
