  1. I had never tried this, so thank you first of all. but, it comes up with this: as I said before, i'm assuming this is because they're technically reserve teams. What should I do about this? Should I just set it to zero and it'll still work anyway?
  2. Hi there, I've searched for something like this and I can still not find anything, so I decided to make my own post. So, I want to add custom youth leagues to my new league system. However, despite having all the teams in them, it doesn't let me choose them and I'm forced to go with a default system (same as the Senior) which I do not want. I have always had this problem, even on older FMs, and I have never been able to get around it. I'm as't know. Images to help make what I'm saying make more sense: All help greatly appreciated!
  3. Hello then! This is the start of our journey with former Southern League Division One South and current Dorset Premier League members Hamworthy United! As you may or may not know, Hamworthy recently withdrew themselves from the Southern League D1S, taking the place of their reserve team in the Dorset Premier League which is believed to be due to financial issues. Hamworthy are team with a decent amount of history - at their standard of club - and will be looking to make amends. This means a new manager coming in... That's right, Hamworthy have announced the appointment of a rather unknown manager by the name of Brooklyn. Formerly based in the North of England, gaining a National C License along the way. She hasn't had an official press conference yet, but she has made it clear her first goal is to get Hamworthy back to where they were before considering the future. Where will this journey take us? Who knows! [DPL #1]
  4. I also have this problem.

  6. Throwback to last FM for me, my best save on that game was Cartagena, you just has to be there to see it! With a busy few months upcoming for me, i’ve decided I can’t commit to a lower tier save and have gone for my boys Cartagena! —————————————————— Here I am, on my first blog for FM23. Last FM, I had a very successful Cartagena career winning LLSB, LLStdr and the Europa League. I hope to be able to replicate this on this FM! SEASON PREVIEW: This season, we are predicted 13th place which on record, would be our 2nd best ever finish. However, we don’t want to settle for that. We want 6th or more, we want a taste of promotion this year. Personally, I believe with the current squad we have, we can reach that. However, I want to bring some new faces in. that is what I would say if we had any money… Cartagena currently have £0 and are -£11k in the wages, so looks like it’ll be loans for us and youth transfers. We’ll be going over the first three games! LA LIGA SMARTBANK - GW1 Goalscorers: E. Gallego 31’, 90+4’, S. Shashoua 39’, Waldo 51’ and M. Rico 10’, P. De Blasis 53’. To say the least… not the start we wanted. This happened last FM though, trying out a tactic I like to call The Crusade that none of the players know… it’s not a bad result. LA LIGA SMARTBANK - GW2 There we go… much better. I would have liked to make a signing now however, all the ones I want won’t be coming immediately and I’m struggling to get loans, we head into match day three with no signings… LA LIGA SMARTBANK - GW3 Goalscorers: P. De Blasis 44’, A. Sadiku 79’ Overall, our first three games have been alright. Sitting in 10th after three games, we could be on course for a good season. I’ll be coming back mid-season to update you on how the season’s gone, until then… goodbye 😉
  7. PUTTING THE TOWN ON THE MAP Hello all and welcome to my first “proper” FM23 save. In this save, I start with a team in the 10th tier of England, a team very special to me. This team would be Stockport Town. Many of you may know Stockport County of League Two - who are my team - who could be considered to be most known for their financial problems and their comeback to the football league. Stockport Town has an affiliation with County and Town will be, for the time being, using loans from County’s youth system. A young manager awaits this young team, what will fate bring them? CLUB BACKGROUND: Stockport Town was founded in 2014 and was admitted into the English League System in 2015 after Stockport Sports were voted out for breaking rules and since then Town have been in the 10th tier only. They have already had 3 badge changes and despite their primary colours being Yellow, their 1st kit is Red, also sometimes involving White. Town and County have been affiliated for 4 years, partnering in 2018 when County were in the lowest they have ever been, the Vanarama National League North. Though the reason was never disclosed, we assume it was so they have a safe partner club they can send staff and players to. Since then, County have nearly fixed their financial issues, could they relate? MANAGER BACKGROUND: Brooklyn Walker, 20 years old, is a local as she was born in Stockport. She always watched Stockport County. In 2020, she heard about Stockport Town and she went to watch a few games. At the end of 2021, Brooklyn passed through the Stockport County Coaching Program and eventually worked with the Under-12s. She proved an exceptional manager at youth level and it wasn’t soon she was brought in by Town. At 20 years old, the inexperienced Manager takes on her first professional managerial role, taking charge of title contenders. What can she achieve? (From here on, Town will be referred to as Lions) SEASON PREVIEW / SIGNINGS: The Lions are predicted as the title contenders this year with a lot of their squad in their expected team of the year and to solidify this, she’ll need to make some transfers. Brooklyn didn’t have a lot of money to work with so she had to be smart “As expected, we don’t have a lot of financial room and that is okay, what we need to search for is more support in the defence and that’s what our priority this year will be”, she said in an interview, and she made use of it well. THE FIRST TWO GAMES: The first game of Brooklyn’s career was a home tie at Stockport Sports Village and nearly 300 fans came to watch her first game, and they were not disappointed. Eccleshall were dismantled by the young manager Goalscorer(s): K. Foley 10’, M. Elstone 18’, D. McLaughlin 82’. In her second game however, it didn’t go to well as local team Cheadle Town grabbed a late winner to win 1-0 away at Stockport Sports Village. Goalscorer(s): B. Matthews 80’. In her next few games, Cheadle Heath will take on the title-favourites away, followed by the Counties Cup! I will see you next time for some more updates! Have a good day! :)
