  1. Santa Claus is coming to Great Yarmouth Town! Let's hope his present to them is many years of promotions and cup wins. I photoshopped together a comparison picture of the kits I made compared to the real thing. Took me about 4 hours to do them both (I build the home kit from scratch, but the away kit I converted some of it from a different default kit pack to fit the FM standard kit size). Edit: Just seen in my ingame inbox that the season I took charge marks the 125th anniversary of the clubs formation. I hope I can make this a landmark season to remember.
  2. Neither am I, but I can't look at those boring plain default things for the next 20+ ingame years!
  3. Now to make a kit for the team I want to play, before I start the save. I'm sure it won't be that hard using Photoshop, right...?
  4. You say that like everyone should have Excel... Lol. Nah, I don't have it. I'll grab it now. Edit: No I won't. I'll grab a free alternative.
  5. What program on a PC would be best for opening and editing the spreadsheet?
  6. I'm going to take a break from this save. I just feel like I'm going through the motions right now. The club is doing great, but I don't feel like I'm getting the enjoyment I should from the success the club is having. I'm going to give the level 10 challenge a go, and maybe come back to Dafuge's later on.
  7. I haven't had a chance to even load the game, since I found out how to put the custom data into the game. Going to make a start today. Could someone tell me which of the level 10 leagues is most likely to have a Cambridge based team in? I'd like to play as a local team. Thanks in advance for helping me out,
  8. Sorry to be a pain, but how do you load the custom database into the game? Edit: Don't worry about it. I found a tutorial on YouTube.
  9. Erm... We're supposedly favourites to gain promotion from League Two this season. Not sure how though.
  10. I might have a massive squad unheaval during pre-season. Depends who I can bring in. I already know who I'm definitely keeping, who might get replaced, and who's definitely getting sold or released. Just a case of finding suitable, better skilled players to fill the holes and strengthen the squad. The board are expecting a top half finish in my first season in League Two, so I've got it all to do during pre-season...
  11. Can someone answer a question for me, please? That wasn't the question, by the way lol. When my club turns professional, should I offer all the players and staff I intend to keep full time contracts, or are they OK to stay on part time?
  12. Santa Claus St. Ives Town National League 2024/25 League - Season Review - Such a surprising season, winning the league with great ease. We only lost one match, and destroyed all previous league records. One again I won manager of the season, and Peacock won player of the season. FA Cup - Fixtures - We massively over-achieved in the FA Cup this season, reaching the 4th round. In the 3rd round, we managed to hold Premier League side Crystal Palace to a draw, the in the replay we beat them on penalties. Forget parking the bus. We parked about 10 buses during those two matches! We attempted the same away at Wolves, but we were totally outclassed and deservedly beaten. FA Trophy - Fixtures - We won it, making up for the disappointing final the previous season. With us doing so well in the league, I kind of expected us to win. Hopefully that's the last time we have to enter the competition, with League 2 football looming next season. Transfers - Another busy season for transfers, as we filled in the deadwood and strengthened the squad considerably. We made a record sale, as Arbroath brought Lachlan Brook off us for £105K! Finances - Thanks to the league win, the FA Cup run, the FA Trophy win, and the sale of Lachlan Brook we have over £500K in the bank. Hopefully sinking into the red will be a thing of the past for this club. Key Players Best 11 Tom Peacock - Another phenomenal season for this amazing young striker. Top scorer of the club, and in the league. He just keeps going from strength to strength, and I hope I can keep him for years to come. Jonty Hibbs - Snapped him up from Glousester City (the same club Peacock came from) at the end of the previous season, and he performed brilliantly on the wing. Guychel Kitenge - This Belgian under 19's player was another youngster who played brilliantly on the wing. He scored the second most goals for the team this season, and got a lot of assists as well. Maldini Kacurri - Very solid young defender, who broke down many opposition attacks. Joe Rose - Was great in goal, managing 17 clean sheets in the league this season. Next Season - After back-to-back promotions up to League 2, I think we'll struggle against teams much better than ours. We'll hopefully stay up, then build our way to a promotion the season after.
  13. Yep, my Chairman is looking to step down and allow another member of the board to take his place. I guess that's not so bad. Edit: And it's done. That was quick and painless.
  14. Help?!? I got a new chairman about an ingame month ago, now I just got an inbox message saying he's retiring from hands-on roles in football and will only pursue part-time roles going forward... Does that mean he's going to sell the club?? I'm very confused by this message.
  15. OK, so things were chugging along nicely. We were getting good results, and I was pleased. 7 wins and 2 draws, with no losses... Then, this just happened! That's a ridiculous score, and I'm shocked after playing that match.
  16. HELP! What am I supposed to do with this information? Will my job be safe?
  17. Does anyone else find it easy to haggle upwards when a club makes a transfer offer for a player? Someone just offered me £60,000 for a player, and I was able to haggle them up to £100,000 upfront with a potential extra £45,000 and 30% of the players next sale value.
  18. If this transfer goes through, it'll sort the clubs finances out for a long while.
  19. The players all seem happy with my new head physio, and are suddenly claiming to be injured...
  20. Santa Claus St. Ives Town National League North 2023/24 League - Season Review - We breezed through our first season, winning the league easily with a few matches to spare. Record goals scored, and record goal scorer in Tom Peacock. I won manager of the season, and Peacock won player of the season. FA Cup - Fixtures - Made it to the first round proper, but got knocked out my MK Dons after a very tight match. FA Trophy - Fixtures - Got to the final, knocking National League side Rochdale out along the way. We outplayed Bromley, who were lucky to win. It'll be our turn next season! Transfers - Brought in pretty much a whole new squad, and didn't spend a penny. Made a profit on a few of them nearer the end of the season, as they became unhappy with unrealistic promises and wanted to leave. Finances - We were in and out of the red like a yoyo. Good cup runs kept us from sinking even further into the red. Best 11 Key Players: Tom Peacock - Amazing young striker, who was the club and league top scorer. Even beat the record for most goals in National League North. He has plenty of time to get even better, as long as he stays injury free. Lachlan Brook - scored 13 from the right wing. Bayli Spencer-Adams - Solid at the back, and defended like a champ. Tom Williams-Evans - Another very young player who had an amazing season for us. Switched between central midfield and right wing when needed, and did a brilliant job in both positions. Jacob Shepherd - Played on the left wing. Banged in some great goals and set plenty up as well. Next Season - Staying up is the priority. Would love an even better FA Cup run, and winning the FA Trophy would be great.
