  1. Bit annoyed about it, as I was going to sign him on a part time contract and get him up to a continental pro license once we went semi-pro...
  2. That seems the main advantage, and maybe better training and player progression.
  3. Santa Claus made all Great Yarmouth Town's Christmases came at once, as we won the treble! Couldn't be happier with this first season. I'm loving The Bloaters.
  4. Thanks for the quick response. Is it advisable to do so, or stay amateur until level 8?
  5. At what level do clubs normally go from amateur to semi-pro. As great as it is not paying my players anything to play for the club, I don't like that they can be signed by any other team at any point.
  6. Great... All we'll hear on the ingame radio is Three Lions for the foreseeable future... Screw you, Baddiel and Skinner!
  7. Erm... No idea why it posted that reply 5 times! Sorry about that.
  8. Ah , you must be the one doing instant results... Congrats on promotion.

  13. Gotta have plenty of room for those! I'm about 12 matches in, so I'm doing OK for pacing right now. I'm trying not to bring anyone else into the squad unless someone leaves or I see someone I can't turn down the chance to sign. That's speeding things up a bit. Not having to do press conferences all the time is helping with the speed of the season as well.
  14. To each their own, but I like to see how my players are performing during matches.
  15. I think I have one player left from all the players I started the save with, and he'll probably be gone soon if I can find a good backup keeper.
  16. How do you all get through a season in a couple of days? My preseason takes a full day lol.
  17. I've signed 23 players, and I'm only in September... Great work on clawing back to a promotion spot, and gaining promotion.
  18. That seems fair. It doesn't take long to get a national C license in the game. In fact, Claus is already studying for his. Maybe wait 6 months or so before applying for a national B license, to balance it out.
  19. Instantly regretting signing this player... Edit: It got worse when I realised the name of my coach (a coach who looks far too good for this level)...
  20. Well, now's the best time! Get there quick, and sit on the big guy's lap. You won the world cup, so you've been a very good boy this year.
  21. Thanks mate. I'm really happy with the way the kits turned out. Hopefully I don't get sacked during my first season, and the effort was worthwhile lol. I actually decided on this club because I have a lot of fond memories of Great Yarmouth. My parents used to take me there when I was a child, and I also went there a fair few times as an adult. It's a great seaside town. If you're ever in the east of England during the summer, I highly recommend going there for a day out. You might be lucky enough to meet Santa, with him being the football clubs manager now
