  1. Congrats on the league win and promotion mate! Well-done and it was comfortable in the end!
  2. Absolutely smashing it mate! Keep up the good work! I think Lee Young-pyo has outgrown the K-League!
  3. Thanks mate! Am very grateful for the opportunity which is a couple of steps higher!
  4. The Second Chapter Sky Bet League One outfit Shrewsbury Town has agreed to give Sergio the opportunity to progress his career, offering him a two-year contract and the Argentinian took it with both hands. The club is a few steps higher than his first team, and he was promised the chance to finally work on his coaching badges. It was a no-brainer. Shrewsbury Town Football Club is a professional association football club based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England. The team competes in League One, the third tier of English football. The club plays its home games at the New Meadow, having moved from the Gay Meadow in 2007. Founded in 1886, the club were inaugural members of the Shropshire & District League in 1890 and then joined the Birmingham & District League five years later. The Salop finished 18th in League One last campaign, and the club felt that it was time for a change before deciding to take a chance on Sergio's potential. With the media prediction of a 14th-place finish, the squad would require significant strengthening if we want a chance at promotion. Key Players Tom Bloxom The 196-cm tall 18-year-old academy graduate will lead the line for Sergio in the upcoming campaign. The young striker is already one of the best players at the club and with some room left to grow in his development, sky is the limit for the boy. Josh Vela Josh will be Sergio's Fernandinho/Rodri in the holding midfield role and the Englishman will be crucial in the Argentinian's possession-oriented tactics. He will dictate play from deep and progress the ball into his two number 8s + front 3 during attacking transitions. Ethan Ebanks-Landell The club already possesses a number of capable center-backs and Ethan is the best of the lot. The strong center-back is all-rounded in his defensive capabilities and he will lead Shrewsbury's backline for Sergio in the upcoming campaign. The second chapter of Sergio's journey begins!
  5. Thanks mate! I'll never do save and reload, and win every time.. where's the joy in that right?
  6. Really enjoyed reading this! And good luck for the semis! Fergie reincarnated?
  7. Lee Young-Pyo! He was the Cancelo before Cancelo came into the picture! Congrats on the double! And what a signing Andre Anderson is!
  8. Heartbreak The season ended in heartbreak for Sergio as we were defeated 0-1 by Havant & Waterlooville in the play-off final. It was really a smash-and-grab victory by our opponents as we dominated them in terms of possession, shots and xG. Nevertheless, Sergio can really pat himself on the back for a job well-done as we lost our 1st choice right-back and striker to suspension and injury respectively in the semis. Vanarama National League South Sergio's boys did really well to reach the play-offs after the bad run of form in the opening 8 games, finishing 3 points behind eventual league winners in the 5th position. He has to be happy with the campaign despite missing out on promotion as the media predicted a 21st-place finish, and our salary per annum is right at the bottom of the table in 21st-place as well. In summary, it has been a really solid start to Sergio's managerial career. The FA Trophy The FA Trophy journey ended in the fourth round as we were defeated by Vanarama National League outfit FC Halifax in a narrow 1-2 away defeat. FA Cup The FA Cup campaign ended before Sergio took over the reins after the boys suffered a 0-3 defeat against Truro in the Third Qualifying Round. Next Steps The Argentinian is open to moving to a club in the higher leagues to further his development as he hasn't been allowed to do any of his badges so far. However, he will not leave Braintree Town for another club in the Vanarama National League North/South out of respect for his club. The story continues!
  9. Diogo Figueira is going to be excellent! His stats are already looking so look at 16!
  10. Nine points clear with one game in hand, will definitely be safe! Keep up the good work mate!
  11. 1st Games Perhaps due to the influence of his previous manager, Pep Guardiola, Sergio loves his team to press high and move the ball around in short, quick passes in search of the killer move. The fans at the Cressing Road Stadium have seen promising signs of the Argentinian's early management. Transfers In The squad was so thin when Sergio first arrived in Braintree that he couldn't even field a starting 11 in his preferred 4-3-3 formation. With no money left in the bank, he could only bring in players on non-contracts and loan deals to plug the gaps. Frustratingly, a couple of them have already left on permanent deals after just a handful of games. The wheeling and dealing will definitely continue throughout the campaign. Key Players Callum Ebanks One of the players who left on a permanent deal was Sergio's starting number nine, and he had no choice but to turn to the market to source for a replacement. Callum was available on a loan deal from Cheltenham and he is a quick decent finisher, and certainly reminds Sergio's a little of himself. He will be the Argentinian's main source of goals in the upcoming games. Kyran Clements In the lower leagues, physical presence is absolutely crucial in defence and Kryan is Sergio's very own Vincent Kompany. The Englishman will be Braintree's main aerial man in both boxes and we need him to stay fit if we want to turn the season around for the rest of the year. Alfie Payne Alfie plays the role which David Silva played at Man City, influencing play in the left central no. 8 position and threading passes into the front 3. Sergio has been showing footages of David Silva's excellence to the left-footed midfielder in hope that he can be the creative fulcrum like how the Spaniard was for the Citizens. Vanarama National League South The Iron has seen an upturn in form since Sergio took over, and it is likely to be due to the 'new manager bounce' but we will take whatever results we can get to climb up the table. Sergio has gotten Braintree up to 12th in the table after 7 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat in 10. He is secretly hopeful of reaching the play-off spots if he can get his boys to keep up the form for the rest of the campaign. The FA Trophy In Sergio's 1st ever cup competition as a manager, he managed to get his team to progress past two opponents and we now face a tough task against a side which is a level higher than where we are. The Argentinian rarely had to play the role of underdogs in his playing career and this will be a new challenge to him early in his management career. The hard work continues!
  12. New Beginnings Vanarama National League South side Braintree Town will be Sergio's 1st home! Braintree Town Football Club is a semi-professional football club based in Braintree, Essex, England. They are currently members of the National League South, the sixth tier of English football, and play at Cressing Road. The club was formed on 24 September 1898 as Manor Works, the works team of the Crittall Window Company, from which they gained their nickname Iron. The 2017–18 season saw Braintree finish sixth in the National League South. In the play-offs they defeated Hemel Hempstead Town and Dartford to reach the final, in which they beat Hampton & Richmond Borough 4–3 on penalties to earn promotion back to the National League. However, they were relegated to the National League South the following season after finishing second-from-bottom of the National League. The Iron is currently rock-bottom in the league after 1 win and 7 defeats, and ex-manager Ryan Maxwell was sacked after the horror start. We are expected to avoid relegation and be competitive in the English FA Trophy, and Sergio has absolutely no money to spend A tough job awaits the Argentinian!
  13. Unfortunately, I don't think a Championship club will hire someone with no coaching badges at this stage!
  14. Start of a Journey The ex-Manchester City and Barcelona forward was forced to retire from football following a cardiac arrhythmia diagnosis, however it looks like he is wasting no time in finding a route back into the game. Sergio Aguero announced his retirement from football at the age of 33 due to a heart condition. He had to be substituted during his team's 1-1 draw with Alaves after receiving medical assistance on the pitch to treat chest pains and dizziness. The Argentina striker was taken to hospital for cardiac tests, after which he was ruled out for three months. However, Aguero did not make his return to the field before announcing at the Nou Camp that his playing career has ended. Sergio Aguero has said that he expects to come back to the game in a coaching capacity as soon as possible. Speaking to Argentinian outlet Radio 10, Aguero said: "I've got to give coming back a go to see what can happen. I'm going to start from the bottom and work my way up.."
