  1. Hey, I made the changes and tested it overnight and it worked, thank you so much! Neat trick!
  2. For 5 & 6: Single leg league stage followed by Semis (1 vs 4, 2 vs 3), and then final For 3 & 4: Single leg league stage followed by a Final For 2: Just a one off final I need a way for the game to recognize which format to use in a given year based on the number of teams that qualify, if such a thing is indeed possible.
  3. I'm trying to create a tournament that happens at the end of the league season, and the 6 participants are dependent on the outcome of the leagues and cups, where 4 teams come from 2 leagues and 2 teams come from 2 cups. However, there are common teams in the leagues and cups, so it is possible that if a team wins both a league and a cup, then for that year only 5 teams in total qualify. I want to create a setup where one of the following is activated each year: Default: In case of 5 or 6 teams qualifying, a certain format is followed In case of 3 or 4 teams qualifying, a certain format is followed In case of 2 teams qualifying, a certain format is followed I'm working on the advanced editor so I believe it's got something to do with how the requirements of the tournament are set up, but I'm not quite sure how to go about it and haven't found any examples so far. Thanks!
  4. I see, so you're suggesting to not use this sort of a sandwich setup and find a workaround that doesn't involve the parent competition. I think that makes sense. Thanks for pointing that out! I was trying some other options and saw that the editor is indeed getting confused in some cases between the stage 0 for child competitions and the parent competition in some cases, so I'm guessing that's happening here as well. I hope someone replies to this post in case they have dealt with a similar setup as well.
  5. So I did check that, and yes it is indeed pulling enough teams at that stage, and completing it as well (if you select top team to be a champion it gives a champion too). Which is why I'm so confused as I can't even get teams finishing in specific positions, or the last winner, despite knowing that the league stage is definitely ending. I added the extraneous stuff to be as close to the examples I could see tbh, I don't bother with them usually, but in this case I thought it was relevant since they had it. But yes my guess is that it has something to do with the fact that it's a parent competition, and not just a regular upper and lower division playoff. I don't have any examples which are trying to do what I'm doing here, I can only see the regular stuff everywhere, so any pointers to a similar league setup or a file someone has worked on would be great. Oh yes, I was intending to add the ranking levels properly once the pyramid was completed, I left that for later as each league within each parent competition has varying number of teams.
  6. Hello, I've shared the file. The issue is visible between levels 3rd and 4th, and then between the intermediate league in level 4th and it's 3 feeding divisions in level 5th. The 5th level is verifiable. The file is a WIP so Levels 6 and below are still incomplete. Thanks! Northern Ireland 23.fmf
  7. I apologize if this was answered earlier somewhere, I've looked for a similar query but couldn't find it anywhere. The scenario is the following: Division 1 is the upper division, where the last team isn't automatically relegated, but moves into a 2 legged promotion relegation playoff Division 2 is the lower division, set up as a parent competition, that houses 3 divisions within itself (Say 2A, 2B and 2C) The winner of each of A, B and C qualify for an inter-divisional promotion group stage (3 teams 3 matches) The winner of this group stage then moves onto the promotion relegation playoff. My issue is that I have set this up with what I believe is the correct logic on the advanced editor. The promotion group stage is working just fine. However, the promotion-relegation playoff is just not able to pick out the team from the promotion group stage (ERROR: Only 1 teams found, 2 needed). I've tried to set it up based on how divisions like Bundesliga 2 work, but to no avail. I've even tried to pull out league stage positions (final or otherwise), and choose last winner, but that doesn't work either. The requirements are set up correctly and so are the dates, it works with other placeholders (random teams), just that for some reason it's not able to pull out a team from the promotion group. Is there something that needs to be ensured to make sure a lower league team can play in an upper league playoff? Does the fact that the team is being pulled from a parent competition have any additional considerations that need to be made? Please let me know if I'm missing something else. Thanks!
  8. Hey, can you share the file again? It seems to be missing here.
  9. Hello, how do I go about adding flags for created nations, as they aren't the same as adding logos for clubs? Thanks!
  10. Hey, I've been working on this on and off for the past year or so for FM 21 & a bit on 22. You are right it's an insane amount of work, specially with the variety of clubs and the way the system is set up. I know that you mentioned that we have a system similar to Brazil, but we actually do not. Sure, the I-league teams do play their first teams in the state leagues in some cases, specially the NE teams, but the ISL clubs' calendars is simply too full to afford that, so they either don't play in their state league (like MCFC, or NEUFC, or Odisha FC), or they use their reserve teams (Mohan Bagan & EB were planning to but ultimately pulled out) Also, the secondary divisions system makes designing the I-league 2 an absolute nightmare. I've managed to make this work in both main and secondary divisions' case, but it works correctly only if secondary divisions are not used at all. It also makes dynamic relegation very difficult. I did figure out a new way of getting it right with secondary clubs as a major issue is that FM does not show secondary leagues structures or job vacancies unless you specifically search for the club, but I haven't gotten a chance to try this out or test it. Finally, AIFF itself clarified in their recent roadmap meeting that they consider state leagues as part of the pyramid, unlike what you see in Brazil, with the state leagues at level 3. I will be working on a fully realistic pyramid and releasing it sometime later next year if time permits, I was hoping to do this sooner, unfortunately going through a transitional phase in life. I'm also waiting to see what they decide about the changes in I-league 2, and the ISL relegations and all that.
  11. Hey, I'm having a similar issue. Can you share what the solution to this was for you? Thanks!
  12. Hello, If I have been working for a while with an existing structure in advanced mode, and now want to add a division below the lowest one, how do I go about it after I have added it to the database? I thought it was supposed to be List > Country > Nation > Division levels, but then it doesn't show up in the drop down for "Show rules for". Please let me know what I'm missing here, thanks!
