  1. My game is completely unplayable due to graphical glitches and lag, this is solely because of the last patch, disable flip discard doesn’t work the other troubleshooting steps do not work. Game was working fine before the patch but I now have a faulty product that we working fine prior to you forcing the patch onto users because of steam auto update. what do you plan to do to remedy this? If you do not wish to do anything about fixing the issues you introduced with the patch how do I get a refund on your faulty goods you supplied. Attn MODs this is not feedback about the game so do not move this to the feedback thread in an attempt to hide the issue. many thanks
  2. I know the line from SI is always updates are ready when they are ready, but are you attempting a hot fix soon for the lag issues introduced by the last patch or do we have to wait until March when you usually patch? Even if you can’t answer the above how about answering is the lag issue a P1 or because you advise putting graphics on low or 2D as a workaround do you not consider this issue a P1? It would be nice to have an idea of what’s going on as the game is completely unplayable for some of us despite all the posted workarounds, and as it was broke by an update this is obviously frustrating.
  3. The guy never reported a bug in here, he expressed his opinion on a game he has bought, you didn't agree with it and went off to the bug forum to check if he had posted bugs - you even posted here saying that is what you did, you were not "helping him" you were simply shouting him down, it is as simple as that. Then you also reply to me with passive aggressive and I quote "If you think we mods are removing critique or complaints about the game, then you need to open your eyes to what several of us has written in here" - I didn't question you removing anything, you made all that up and why do I care to open my eyes to what you have said, I couldn't care less what you have written in here except to the entitled opinion you have that nobody is allowed a view unless they have posted in the bug forum, that's my point, my single point and my only point - maybe as a moderator you should read posts more clearly.
  4. selected", then by "Position". @XaW not sure why you are spending your time checking to see how many bugs that paying customers who have spent their money on a product have posted in the bug forum, not sure that’s how “moderation” works. In fact all The mods on this thread seem to feel that users are not entitled to air their views - on a feedback thread no less - unless they have acted as unpaid beta testers and logged bugs. The facts are many bugs were logged within the first few days of the beta and zero have been fixed and pushed to production, and we are still playing the beta ME. Further more given how few match engine updates are actually released each year the likelyhood is anything logged now will maybe not even get looked at for FM23, lat few years there have been no ME updates in March…….
  5. Glad to see that the new signing press conference is still as relevant as ever - my new signing has been on a 2 year loan to me already, played 60+ games for the first team and already on my clubs favourite players list. But yea mr journalist I’m very excited to see what he will bring to the club, and as for what position he will play we’ll probably the same one that got him into the serie A team of the year last year. Are we still calling this a “feature”………
  6. I don't think he framed it as an instructional video, it was much more an experiment based on an theory - that's called science not teaching. To be clear I had no idea who that guy was until I saw this thread I have not seen any of his videos before but he obviously has a statistical or science background or interest and I thought it was an interesting concept. At the end of the day science is having a theory and doing experiments to prove or disprove a theory, what is critical to proving the theory is enough data to make an informed assumption and peer review to validate or disprove your theory. This guy had a theory, came to a conclusion and all the Mods and "names" just piled on that he was wrong and shouldn't be making videos, I mean come on give the guy some credit for attempting an experiment and putting in the work. The real difference is that here as we have somebody who presumably knows exactly what the code is designed to do then we have a definitive answer on how something works so the peer review is (assuming the code is not bugged) 100% correct and this guy is incorrect - That's still called science folks. My initial point about the UI being terrible still stands, there will be a large percentage of people right now making the same assumption as max, and the only definitive answer to correct them is a single post from a member of SI on this thread, I wonder how many of the user base has seen that...............
  7. The issue here is not Max's experiments which as he points our in the video he is happy to discuss and have debunked, the issue is as usual FM's diabolical user interface and SI's complete lack of explanation of what things do IN GAME If you look at the UI it actually labels it defensive line and the buttons are step up or drop off, two options that if anybody who watches football or plays FM the logical thing to think is that these options will affect the defensive line and what they do. There is nothing in the game UI or tooltips to suggest that as @Jack Joyce has now perfectly explained that this only kick in situationally. The tooltips actually reinforce that the line will push up or defend deeper the only English word that gives any clue that this may only be situational is "typically" on the drop deeper tooltip. The logical expectation is that push up and drop off are football terms that anybody who has played instantly understand that they do the same thing in FM, the design of the UI and also having defensive line labelled as the slider on the pitch adds to the muddled UI and frankly I wouldn't be surprised if virtually everybody who plays is confused. Si before all the mods continue to start and encourage a pile on in this thread because somebody has misinterpreted an option in game take a step back and think about the root cause, which is muddled UI design, poorly worded UI elements, and tool tips which do not clarify what the options do, and that sits firmly with SI.
  8. This just isn't true is it its wild conjecture at best, there are many different ways to maximise revenue just look around at other games that have subscription models, chargeable DLC, in game purchases, I am not saying all of these are right for FM but there are plenty of different ways to do this you are stuck with looking how it currently works and thinking that's the only way. Ironically I think that is one of the biggest issues with the ongoing development of the game, SI are struck into what they have always done from a development and financial perspective they are not particularly forward thinking in any of those areas which is why we have got to a point where the yearly cycle has reached critical mass, they have to have new "features" to sell the new "game".
  9. Nothing has changed with the release and update schedule since the days of having to buy a magazine with the updates on a CD. it’s the same nonsense every time “we don’t want to risk changes” “knock on effects” etc etc one match engine patch per cycle, don’t touch it in the winter update, because if they broke anything they would have to support it post march, when the game becomes abandonware. SI really need to evolve and modernise their development procedures and processes, didn’t miles announce they were moving to an agile methodology? Well this ain’t agile that’s for sure,
  10. If you want to increase the box presence and te performance of both Raspadori and Zaniolo you need to change their roles. Raspadori suffers from the FM problem of being short, if you play him as a IF On attack he will be in the box early and as you are Roma the opposition will be ultra defensive. This leads to Raspadori competing for headers from far post crosses, obviously this is futile. This is why he consistently gets low ratings, it’s due to losing headers. Also my opinion is IF Attack requires a support duty forward paired with him. If you want Raspadori to perform better and pop up into the box change to a IW attack with roam from position. zaniolo is another player who suffers in the FM engine and it’s biases. He is best played as a Inside forward on support the IW support role is purely a creator and won’t get into the box hardly ever. A IF will sometimes get into the box and will create as well. This role can be a bit hit and miss you will get some good performances from zanolo there but don’t have expectations of Salam or Messi like numbers from him. if you want to get Pelegríni more into goal scoring positions or into the Chanel more add a underlap team instructions to your right hand side. That will involve pellegrini more in offence. Try it like that IW attack for raspadori IF support for zaniolo give a a few games at least 5 to see how it goes, you may also need to change the forward to be a support role to get much more of what you wish from those players. Everything in FM is a trade off
  11. Sure it’s possible to create other systems and press less but if you are playing with a elite side versus a minnow if you don’t max the pressing they will play 700 passes between the center backs. Also as stamina means nothing in regards pressing, your players will press the same in the 90th minute as the 1st it makes it further unrealistic. Stamina only affects the chance of injury, and length of time it takes to recover post match. it may well have a small effect in the ME and play a factor in the calculations but stamina is no where near enough of a factor. Stamina is one of the most important things in real football, it affects the number of sprints you make, the amount of mistakes you make, affects your technical execution and chances of success of a pass, shot or tackle.
  12. This is categorically untrue, the facts are if you just slap on the gengenpress default with a predicted lower half team you will at worse finish top half. “slap” it on with anyone predicted to finish top 10 you’ll be at worse fourth but likely challenge for the title. Also every player in the database can gengenpress perfectly, there is no downside because physical tiredness doesn’t exist in FM. Sure you may get a few more injury’s if you players have low natural fitness but you can just put on any other player and they’ll press just as well. the facts are there is no downside to playing geggenpress you will overachieve based on your season expectations, try it with a holiday experiment you’ll finish above your predicted finish every time.
