My recent results despite im playing with a pretty defensive-cautious mentality with 5-3-2. I even tell them to waste time and lower tempo as much as they can. I dont want to have to set my games to commentary to prevent seeing annoying, same type of highlights or goals every 5-10 min. Actually. And it all starts after like second or third season of the career. At first year, nothing this crazy though. So what, do I have to witness these annoying results every career after second or third year? I check AI's scores, they even have more attacking formations and many of their matches end 1-0 or 2-0, many times. And look at this.

I really hate having over 3+ goals every match.. So this made me a fan of defensive football sadly lol.. I've been trying many defensive tactics on the internet, and i tried many of mine.. But in FM 24 for a reason i cant make it work. 3-5-2 or 5-3-2, they barely work. Now im trying 4-1-4-1, or 4-2-3-1 2 DMS, and it still wont help... So whenever im leading 1-0 or 2-0 i just waste time and lower tempo :/ I dont realy want to win the leauge with 120 goals scored. Do you have any tactics? I want to try some of your tactic files to be honest.

I'm sick of complaining about this, but I'll continue to, sorry. This game makes me want to vomit sometimes... So even with a 4-1-4-1 tactic, i still see scores like that. Its actually very annoying. This game made me hate attacking football. Because i see GKs being ghosts or i see highlights every 2 minutes. (From our online save with my friends) And i wonder what would happen if "too many goals" thing was not nerfed in previous "updates"... And i still see so many scores like that despite the "nerf"... So what should we do? Play 6-4-0 to prevent further goals and then concede? I literally hate scoring in this game.

I really hated the FM20's one on ones, but its not worse than getting scores like 4-0 5-1 5-2 every match. Definetly FM24's match engine is best of all years but i still think its very very unbalanced. It forces me to play 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 defensive because im sick of seeing highlights every 5 minute.

I dont experince in some leagues or some matches too, and not in every career. I just noticed an issue.. (I dont know if someone else has written it so sorry if thats the case) Because of national team invitations i guess, teams putting very bad players in their line up. Even big teams. Look at those scores, because PSG and Napoli had very bad players in their lineup. I checked their players, and most of them are very young regens and most of them have bad profiles. And this happens in Champions League... Something wrong with invitation dates or what? This is very annoying... Anderlecht 7 - PSG 0 Napoli 1 - Glentoran 6 I had the same issue in some CL matches, i once had 8 of my players in National team in the most important group match. Year is 2029

The opposite of "scripted" is not "easy". Two different terms. I know Gegenpress is one of the reasons that makes game easy against AI, but I have also done the opposite of that. I've been playing 5-4-1 since FM 23, with putting my defense back and not counter-pressing after losing the ball. But there is nothing new with it. You can still dominate because the AI has bad squad building and bad player preferences, or bad tactic preferences. The problem is not only about Gegenpress being too OP, its about the AI being bad at responding to it. Also, a game does not have to be scripted to be competitive. I remember people saying that but its definetly not the same I'm talking about. Those people were like "Oh i won my first 20 matches in the league and i start losing because game wants my enemy to win the league, prevents me from succeeding" bla bla bla. This is what those who believe the game is scripted say. My point, and the point of most people here are actually different. We want smarter AI, not scripted game.

Oh mate.. To be honest, I would say YES if it was a problem that was specific to FM 24 only.. But the game is like that since years... Every year.. Great game for newcomers, seriously. Many people who buy the game and play for the first time are happy.. But what about us? People who play the game for years and want to have more competition and fun? I dont think it will get competitive with 1 update. But I hope they will do that. I dont want to lose my hope on this game and its developers because I love them.

I understand SI trying to prevent game from being very challenging. But here is the thing, even though if you want to make it easier so that new players wont get bored and delete/refund it, me and many of my friends, many FM veterans dont even buy or enjoy FM anymore. I got it on Xbox gamepass with my friends, and only for 1 month. Because game does not have the taste of struggle anymore. Now many here saying "Ayo bro its a video game! Of course its going to be easier than real life" hell yeah bruh. Thats not really what I mean.. All I want from AI is to score goals as much as me, or game preventing me from scoring many goals. All I want from AI is to bring plenty of good players. I check my fixture, many matches are like 3-0, 5-0 4-0... And look at the AI... They HARDLY score sometimes. Teams in real, which transfer atleast 9-10 players at summer window, in game they only buy 3-5 players, most of them being for rotation and not good enough to change the fate of the league/competition. I'm having to put my matches on commentary or just simulate it because i dont want to witness my team scoring 5 goals against one of the major clubs in the league. Also I was talking about how 5 big leagues are harder, I change my opinion on that, except England. Just promoted to Bundesliga with Schalke and already 2nd on the table. Other teams like Paderborn etc. who promoted with me buying only 3-4 players despite they are given good prize money. This game will always be like that if you're not playing England or Spain, I really thank you all for developing this game and appreciate your work until now, but ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, please... I want to have fun. Difficulity level or whatever it is.. Do something about that, please...

It really makes difference. For example I live in Turkey, and even though the clubs have big debts, they still bring many many players... I look at the game, only Fenerbahce and Galatasaray buys plenty of players.. Most Turkish teams get AT LEAST 8-9 players in summer windows. I see clubs without transfers sometimes. (Even some of them are rich) That are in England, Bundesliga etc.. You will not have fun playing in Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Netherlands because the AI is still so bad at squad building.

Sad to see how we cant play in the league we want because the game is too easy... And we look for the "tough" and "hardest" leagues :/ I don't want to die before seeing this game's AI getting better and compete with us.

I really want to enjoy playing in small leagues but this prevents me from doing so. I've been testing with the recent update and previous version.

Definetly. AI being bad at transfers in leagues like Romania etc. should not be justified by prize money they get or reputition only. They should be competing with us somehow. This is really annoying and makes me hate the game. I dont want to have to go pick a club in England to have a competitive career. This sounds non-sense.

AI transfers are mostly, generally good in England, Spain, Germany... And were not very bad in previous FMs too. The problem is with the leagues like Netherlands, Belgium, Turkey. You unavoidably dominate in these leagues because AI response to your transfers is very weak. I want to enjoy playing in leagues like that. I know England is competitive.

Hello. I dont want to start a career without making or finding an editor data file that will prevent European league, champions league and conference league from changing to post 2024 format. There was a file for that in 2023 but i cant find any now.. How can i make it on pre game editor? EDIT: I FOUND IT, THANKS.
