Manager movements have always been unrealistic and quite frankly rubbish imo, no different this year. Enzo Maresca bringing Leicester up and then immediately leaving for Crystal Palace? Not a chance would that happen irl. The managerial merry go round at big clubs after 5 or so years too is poor, same faces just swapping clubs.

I am glad that in the season review my "Match to Remember" is a 4-3 thriller and not some dull 1-1 draw like it was on FM23 every season.

I currently have a player unhappy about a team talk made when he wasn't even contracted to the club, he signed a month and two days after it \o/
Either it's a bug or we have a **** stirrer in the dressing room.

Just had this flagged for offside as we ran clear, didn't even get to shoot as it was blew up. I feel in real life that the play would be allowed to continue then checked by VAR. Do we get PMGOL apologies in FM24??

Have to say I am in agreement with the too many goals concerns. In my Luton save, 16 games in and in the Premier League there has been a 7-1 result four times, an 8-1 result, plenty of 6's and 5's too. Not sure on the real life stats but the results seem very excessive, maybe could be an issue with player morale leading to many conceded after going behind? Haaland has 27 in 16, the absolute freak of nature. I am yet to play City, but if there was a way of playing 10-0-0 I would be.

One fringe player in my team who's not even in substitutes complain about lack of strengthening in the front and almost the whole squad is unhappy about that despite the team is top of the table and there was no transfer because the club has 0 transfer budget.
IMO, FM will be much much better by removing the entire player and media interactions and it's effects from the game.I have also had, in real world mode, a player who is leaving on a future transfer kick off at me for not registering him in the squad. This makes no sense at all.

As somebody who has criticised the game and SI for a number of years now, I am impressed. The match engine feels fantastic, more like real football. The changes to player roles are working excellently, especially the Libero role. Not used the IFB yet but seeing other positive reviews of that. More importantly, I think SI should be given props for their change in engagement attitude. I think the fan base has felt like we have been tossed a game and told to get on with it in recent years, but now there is clarity and lots of engagement which is fantastic to see.
My only real issue so far after 10 or so hours of play is that interactions, with players and press, still seem as dull and broken as ever. I am fed up of answering 3 questions a week on why I am playing a player at MR when he is not able to play there according to his positions. Oh and my entire squad turned on me as I didn't strengthen at CB when I didnt have the faintest idea anybody was unhappy about it, and then signed 2 CB's when I did find out but this didn't fix anything.

a risk i am willing to experiment with in these early stages, 2 on the edge of the box though to hopefully stop the transition before it reaches my recovery defender

Is there no way to change how many recovery defenders you have on set pieces? I want to take control of the set pieces but am finding it impossible to have just 1 recovery defender, it always gives me 3 with 2 of those being on "stay back" instruction

I signed him for Brugge in this save then took him to Villarreal with me and now Atletico. Exclusively played out at RM as a Wide Playmaker on Attack in my 4-4-2 and always popped up with a goal in the big games

If the set piece creator doesnt get an overhaul for FM24 then its a disgrace. Create throw in routines for them to just be completely overwritten by some ridiculous routine that no team would ever do irl such as below
My routines specifacally have the CB's staying back as I want the ball thrown short, every single throw in I have a CB in the box, its a shambles that this has been the case for many FM's.

I think it's great that the final match engine of FM23 features 90% of shots being looped up into the air and into the keepers hands after a block.

Seeing 5 blocked shots per game get looped into the air for the keeper to catch and those being half of the highlights on key is getting real boring.

The interactions with players and managers has needed some serious work for years, as pointed out regularly. Just had another moment of this where a manager is unhappy with the arranged loan agreement. I have a 31 year old on loan and he is unhappy as this player was sent to my club to develop. He is 31 years old, he isnt going out on loan to develop.

Is the throw in creator broken? I have set my instruction so that both centre backs stay back yet every throw in I have one in the box and am getting sick of being countered from them. Last year throw-ins were a shambles and nothing has changed.

Hi Ben,
Absolutely brilliant work on the skin, love it. I see the post above about the CL issue, I still have the issue with the latest skin where I have a CL matchday scoreboard no matter what competition (see photo). Any ideas how to fix this?

The context here is that I managed in the Uruguayan league then took the Morocco job in 2026, the player in question always scored against my side in the league. He is yet to make his debut for country, so has never played against Morocco. I can also gurantee the next 3 questions will be about me playing a right back at left back. How on earth have press conferences not been updated or changed for years? They are immersion breakers and are extremely dull.

He has played in the country, been coaching in the country for 5 years, and Leicester are a bigger club than Palace. I don't find that move realistic in the slightest.
