^ these are data issues. Need to be posted in the right thread.
I'll post them in the 'right thread', but this is also the FM23 Beta feedback thread so deserves to be posted here also.

Just a couple of observations on the poor research of Burnley.
1. Supporter culture shows 'play direct football' which is nonsense.
2. Charlie Taylor has played as a CB all season and yet can't play there at all on FM23.
3. Jay Rodriguez is a natural ML in-game... he's never played as a ML in real life. Maybe as a AM(L) a couple of times but that's all.
4. Nathan Tella can be re-called by Southampton in real life, but this clause isn't in the game.
5. Sean Dyche is only listed as 'favoured personnel'. To list Dyche alongside Brian Jensen in the favoured personnel category is laughable. He's at the very least an Icon!
Very poor from the Burnley researcher.

Just realised I've got £18 in my Steam account from a refund ages ago! Feel like I've just bought the game for half price

Delegate Youth Development to Wife, maybe?
Just kidding, congrats on your newborn son
Haha I love that thank you!

I'll probably wait until after Christmas to buy this year's game. That's nothing against the game, I think it looks great... but I have a newborn son and if I spend £35 on a game I think my wife may divorce me
I might not manage as many hours on this year's game but it will still be value for money even if I end up playing just 50 hours. People spend more money for just one night at the pub.

I was at the Burnley match last night and funnily enough thought about the team and tactics on FM23 on the way home.
I'm sure SI will get it sorted, they usually do. I think the hardest part will be trying to match Vincent Kompany's tactics in-game. Maybe put every player on free-roam

You can, according to the article SI posted a while back. Check higher up. I posted the link to it.
Thanks for that. Hope you're well mate!

I have to admit, I had my reservations when women's football was first announced in FM but the Euros were a great showcase of the women's game.
I'd definitely now be more inclined to manage a women's team on FM. I'm not sure how it would be implemented and if you could switch between the women's and men's games in the same save?
I think people, myself included, were too quick to compare men's and women's football. If you observe each game on their own merits then women's football is great.

I came across an annoying bug today. 2 of my players got a ban for accumulation of yellow cards. My next game was then in the Fa Cup so I was expecting them to be unavailable for that and then start them again in the league. The players weren't banned for the Fa cup game but were for the league game after.
I'm pretty sure the rule changed 2 or 3 years ago so that yellow card bans only count for the competition they were earned in.

The new update sounds great, good work, SI
My only problem is that I haven't yet updated my save and I'm flying with Burnley, currently in the CL group stages. I'm scared that my 4-4-2 wing play tactic won't work after the update
So as good as the update sounds, I think I'll wait until the end of my current season at least before updating... unless anyone who plays the same way can confirm it's still effective?

It's irrelevant to a footballer who will make millions. If you have that money, of course Russia is a developed country.
You're talking as if the player is on £50 per week in Sweden and being offered £100,000 in Russia. It's not irrelevant at all. Some players would be more than happy to make the move, others wouldn't even entertain the idea. Like I've previously said, it's down to personal choice.
Russia isn't a developed country by definition, but you can have your opinion I'll leave this thread now, it's boring me.

Russia isn't a developed country. If you read up about what makes a country class as 'developed', you will see that Russia is either classed as 'in transition' or 'developing'.
It's not a bug.

Not wanting to live somewhere isn't insulting. I wouldn't want to live in Moscow either. I also wouldn't want to live in London and I'm English. It's just a personal choice.

I definitely think palace will be a good one this year. Lots of young talent.
Brighton and Burnley both good options as well with good cores. It would be good to develop an attractive playing style with Burnley, be a good long-term save.I'm currently playing with Burnley. Stuck to 4-4-2 and play wing play. Had a great first season finishing 9th. The highlight was beating an injury-ravaged Arsenal 6-2 at home! ...I won't talk about my opening day 6-1 loss to Man City though
Arsenal have since bid £60 million for Dwight McNeil. I imagine he'll be leaving if they offer slightly more so he will be difficult to replace. James Tarkowski also looks set to leave on a free transfer so I'm looking for a younger CB to partner Ben Mee.
Chris Wood scores plenty as a Target Forward with decent high crosses from the wingers.
I have no expectations for this coming season but hope to push for a Europa League place the season after.

You must be lucky, I got 1 penalty all season

It’s the worst ME in recent years. The amount of bugs for a game full released is incredible.
I know everyone is entitled to an opinion... but this is nonsense.

I love this year's game! Just finished my pre-season with Burnley and really enjoying it so far.
...my opinion may change after the first 3 league fixtures though; Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea ouch!!

Preston would be good. A few of their neighbours (Blackpool, Burnley, Blackburn, Bolton) have been in the Premier League and Preston never have. Try to reclaim some bragging rights

Haven't managed to play the game yet, but it sounds great to me! If the biggest problem is the possession stats I'm fine with that (plan to play as Burnley anyway)
SI have acknowledged problems are being looked at. There's bigger worries in life, just enjoy the game can't wait to get home and get stuck in!

Did somebody say this same thread had 80ish pages last year?
I wonder if a correlation between feature release where biggest is new role for CB and reduction of interest.
Many people were stuck indoors last year, that was probably the biggest correlation. People have their lives back now.
PS. Release the beta, SI!

I can't wait for FM22. I can't help but smile when I see the SI staff rejoice and take pride in their work. People are quick to complain without realising the amount of work that goes in to making the game.
Roll on next month!

To be fair (and I say this as a Burnley fan) with the way Burnley defended yesterday, this is very accurate to real life
