  1. We have a troll who has been stating with supposed certainty that the beta is coming next Tuesday and now someone who joined 10 minutes ago defending said troll? Hmmm....... Anyway, probably not releasing today but tomorrow seems likely.
  2. To me, what it comes down to is: 1. Do I play FM for the graphics? No. 2. Would better graphics make my experience better? Yes, absolutely. 3. Is it reasonable to expect the graphics to be better than they currently are? I think so. I don't need FIFA-level graphics for FM, but I just think they could look a lot better than they currently do. Stadiums are a big one for me - the lack of variety and strange design choices (what is it with those corners?) hurt immersion. And they would not even have to go to great lengths to design every stadium in existence - a decent in-game stadium designer + the FM mod community would lead to close to real-life replicas in no time. Instead we get more coats + watches and scarves for our manager which I guess is nice? But with the graphics as they are, how much of a difference do those additions even make?
  3. I am tempted to pre-order as I have for a number of years, but this is a fair point. Release date is Nov. 8th, which means the beta drops (if they hold to the pattern of dropping it around two weeks before release) on or around Oct. 25th, which is just a few days out from being a month away. Aside from a few bits and pieces on new licenses we don't know anything about new features or changes to old mechanics, etc.. This is quite different from other game releases where there is often months of media related to gameplay and features. As an example, I was just watching a lengthy gameplay stream from Paradox showing off Victoria III, which releases Oct. 25th, and there has been a ton of media content coming out for it for a while now. I know people trust SI, but it is rather outside the norm.
