Hi all,

I want to set up a multi year points deduction for a club as well as putting said club in administration and giving them a transfer ban for a number of years, I know how to do the transfer ban part of this but i am not certain i know how to do the administration part or a multi year points deduction as i have never attempted them before (the points deduction will be large enough to guarantee that the club is relegated every year for a few years).

How do you set a club going into administration? Can you set a start and end date for it like you can with a transfer ban?

The way i am thinking about doing the points deduction is adding it to the current league the club is in as it is the only way i am aware of being able to do it.

Can you set a year start and end date for the points deduction or do you have to do a new entry for every year you wish the points deduction to apply?

How does the points deductions deal with league relegation, do the deductions only apply as long as the club is in the specific league where the points deduction entry is or does the club's league not matter the deducion will apply regardless of league?

Hi all,

I'm trying to make a few competitions but i cannot figure out how to do certain things.

in some cometitions I want the game to pick teams that finished in certain positions in individual leagues the previous season not the entirity of that league, Is it possible to do this and how would I do it please?

Also in othe competitions i want it it to pick random teams from specific leagues, is this possible to do this and how would I do it please?

Hi all,

I wish to create some extra competitions (national and continental) so that any players under the age of 21 get more games (if they are not good enough for first team games) in the hopes of improving their development so they are good enough eventually.

How do i set competitions so only players below a certain age can play as i don't want just the teams registered in under 20's and below age group leagues but every playable club in every country eligible to participate once they are in a high enough league (the lowest possible playable league for each country in the default database)? Do i use the squad registration/match squad rules and if so what option do i need to pick for this to happen?

What are the reserve/under 19's cup type in the editor for? Do they limit the clubs eligible for competitions to only those with reserve/under 19 teams or in those kinds of leagues?

Can you add clubs from other continents to competitions and if so how do you do it please? What country/continent needs to be selected when setting up the competition? Is this what the Teams section when creating cups is for (picking certain clubs to compete regardless of their based country)?

Hi all,

How do i set a particular team as being the hosts of a cup e.g. if i was creating the Emirates Cup (the pre-season tournament hosted by Arsenal) or any of the other numerous pre-season competitions hosted by set clubs, how would i set any of these clubs as the hosts of their respective cups in the editor please?

Hi all,

I hope this is the right place to post this. I'm trying to make some cross country/continent cups for club's first team's, reserves and youth teams (different cups for different age groups) mainly to give the reserve's and youth teams more games to play and i was wondering if someone could help me with a couple of things or could direct me to any video's/articles to do the following things as i'm struggling with them please?.

Can you set cups to only take teams that finished in set positions in a given league the previous season?

How do you make cups specifically for the youth teams (under 23's, B, II, Under 19's) please? is it the same for cups with teams from multiple countries in them?

Do all clubs in any cups have to have the same type of reserve's/youth team age groups in them or can they be mixed as different countries call teams of the same type different things?

Is it possible to make cups for 1 continent or group of countries frrom a specific continent but have teams from a completely different continent compete in the same cups e.g. a cup for european teams that has a few south american teams in it?

Hi all,

I'm looking at the english leagues to possibly edit them and i don't understand what the valid years box is for, could someone explain it's use please?. On all leagues from league 1 down to the Vanarama North/South Divisions they have both SkyBet League 1 and the Regional Premier Divisions in this box and on the Regional Premier Divisions the box is blank in the default database,

Is this where you dictate the league to get the extra team from to make up the numbers?

Does this need changing to the lowest playable/unplayable division or league level when adding more leagues to the pyramid?

I redownloaded the latest version of the files to make sure i was using the most current version and not the beta version of the files and that's why i was getting the errors that i was.

Unfortunately this is not the case all the files say when you open them in the editor that they were created in an earlier version of the database so i tried resaving them on the latest database myself but keep getting errors everytime i try to verify them so i wonder if changes in the 20.4 database could be the cause of the errors? Would it be possible and not too time consuming to update them to the 20.4 database please?

The errors i am getting apply to multiple competitions in different files, the errors and the specific competitions that were giving me those errors and in which file said competition can be found are below.

In the 1st division B,II,U21's file i get error in nation rules the number of dates set in stage 0 of the competition is 4 but should be equal to 3 with no specific competition named.

The Disney Cup international in the 1st division Elite, B,II,U21's file is giving an error of the number of teams in the competition does not match expected number of team from the ranking (48 teams out of 32) on january 10th 2019

The Euro Cup Tornooi in the 1st division under 19's all clubs file is giving me the same error as above on the same date error of the number of teams in the competition does not match expected number of team from the ranking (80 teams out of 64)

The Venezia Cup in the 2nd division file is giving an identical error but a different number of teams possibly as the 2 competitions above on the same date.

The Isar cup in the 3rd division file is giving the the worng number of teams qualified found for competition (20 of 64 required teams) on the same date as the above errors.

The Gothia Cup is giving me an error in nations rules of new stage 0 of said cup cannot find enough teams to be created (48 found, 64 needed).

The Iber Cup file gives me an error in nation rules specific to the Iber Cup Qualifier -Spain of new stage 0 of said cup cannot find enough teams to be created (15 found, 32 needed). i'm not sure if any of the other countries qualifiers are affected too.

The ICC Cup gives me an error in nation rules on 31st may 2019 of the number of teams in the competition does not expected number of team from the ranking (30 teams out of 25). I'm not sure if the youth team equivalent has the same issue.

The Norway Cup gives me the error of new stage 0 of said cup cannot find enough teams to be created (60 found, 200 needed)

The Mediteranian International Cup is telling me when it gets to january 1st 2020 that there are 0 teams registered for it but on looking at the registered teams section it has the correct number of teams registered for the competition in both 2019 and 2020 and also the qualified teams section has rules set for getting the qualified teams in 2020 rules but not in 2019.

THe Africa Youth Cup in the Other continents file gives me an error in nation rules of the number of teams in the competition does not match the expected number of teams from the ranking (80 teams out of 64) on the 10th of January 2019 like some of the other competitions, on looking closer at it there are qualification rules set for it to get random teams from team pool but the team pool section is completely empty of teams, could this be the issue in the other files giving the same error?

i can't test any of the other competitions in files with multip[le competitions in them to see if any of the others have any errors aswell as the editor stops verifying once it hits an error.

it's for FM17,18 and 19 please. I still play the old games whenever i get bored of playing the latest version just for a change.

Do i need to start a new save everytime you update the packs please?

Having looked at the english leagues every division from league 1 has 2 sets of rules (1 for the 19/20 season and 1 for the 20/21 and on season) so I think this may be able to be solved by having 1 set of rules for the 2019/2020 season and a duplicate set of rules starting in 2020/2021 for every extra division you add with the 19/20 rules having the i think it's called get extra lower division teams box ticked and 1 in the box and then in the 20/21 rules having it at zero but make sure all the promotion and relegation numbers are the correct amount for every level for that season on. I'm not sure if there is something else that needs changing aswell as this possibly the division to get the teams from.

The Americas are lumped together because it makes things easier if there are four subdivisions to everything. If someone wants to post a good format for the cup with an extra playable (or two playable) divisions, go for it. I also figured that at some point I would be adding extra leagues for the sake of it, rather than to enhance game play.

i noticed from the screenshots you have shared that there seems to be a slight imbalance with regards to divisions having larger than average numbers of teams from specific countries in them, i noticed it particularly with german teams in divsion 4 (4 compared to 1 from every other country) and the same appears to have happened in division 2 with the english sides (5 compared to the others having 1 or 2 representatives) i didn't check any of the other continents to see if the same was replicated in them. i don't know how you could fix this or whether the issue is the same on other continents also i don't know if/when more divisions were added how this would change but maybe move a few of the teams around and change a few of the lower rep teams where countries have lots of representatives to a similar reputation team from a nation that has few or no representation (e.g. scandinavian teams maybe where the european leagues are concerned to give a wider continental spread) plus it would stop the top divisions containing teams from only a few of the bigger more financially wealthy countries (England, Germany Spain and France) unless you have evened that side out somehow.

The america's league systems seem to all be slightly different in some way with some having it split into 2 sections and others not and some having a few very big teams and the rest made up by smaller teams that struggle a lot due to lack of finances.

just a thought on the cup issue if more divisions were added but could you not maybe add a group stage at the start to cut down some teams, do qualifying rounds similar to what is done in the european continental competitions as well as some countries domestic cups (Champions league and french coupe de ligue spring to mind) to cut down the number of teams, exclude teams below certain divisions from the main cup or split the knockout cup into 2 separate 1's for say division 1-5 and division 6-10 for example?

This looks like an amazing idea, i have a few ideas and some questions.

Under 18 and 23 cups is something i think would be good to give the youth teams something else to compete for besides the league titles.

Adding US and Canadian teams would be great (maybe this could be done by adding North and Central America/Canada leagues as every other continent is represented but that 1. The cup competitions would need reworking as a result though.

Is the Premier and First division league cup competition 1 cup or 2, if it is 1 maybe a pre season competition between the 4 league cup winners from the previous season to start the season off kind of like a curtain raiser (like most countries matches between their top league winners and main domestic cup winners)? if not could a random team from a division be picked every season to make up the numbers?

How come the top 2 divisions are 24 teams but every other division is only 16 teams?

is the fact that it is only 5 divisions down to the small number of teams in top leagues on some continents?

Is an identical thing possible for lower division sides (countries respective 2nd divisions and below) with the sides picked and sorted in order of reputation maybe? it would be interesting to see how competitve different countries lower leagues were. i am not asking for this to be done at all, i'm just curious to know if it was possible or would the number of teams in the deafult database from certain continents prevent it.

Thanks for this, i am not quite confident enough with the editor to try this myself unless it is something super simple to do in which case i will give it a go.

How do i go about creating extra instances of a league? Does this need to be done for both the parent and child competitions at every level? it seems to be done down to the regional premier divisions by default but i cannot see in any of the editor menu's how to add multiple rules for different years what menu would this be in? is it something as simple as selecting a level and copying the ruleset then changing the starting year?

Can you set it to pick certain teams to promote to certain divisions in a certain year in the editor?

It seems the french league cup is indefinitely suspended rather than totally cancelled so hopefully that isn't too hard to change. It shows up in the editor with 2 sets of rules 1 for 2019 and 1 for 2020 which has now disabled by it, do i need to remove this set of rules to allow the competition to keep being played, if so how do i do this please?

I am right in thinking that editor files will work in the game even if they haven't been verified in the editor (won't verify because of errors) provided they are saved using the same database version that i intend to use in game?

This will affect all levels to the bottom. Thats why you need to set 2 instances for every level - one with end year 2020, second with start year 2021. Also in second instance for every level you should set "Number of extra lower division teams to be promoted" again to 0.

You should probably calculate number of teams in season 1 and after so you can check in your cup settings.

Not sure about french league cup but you can use start/end year for every competition. Just need to do your calculations 100% accurate.

Would it be easier to just re-add the missing team to the original league but decrease their reputation to zero and give them massive points deductions for however many years (if you can do this?) it would take for them to drop out of the league system and remove the duplicate league and cup entries with the wrong number of teams in them if that's even possible seen as i don't know how to add extra instances of the leagues and it gets complicated and large once you have a large number of leagues per level like you do beyond level 9 in england and well above my level of experience with the editor.

Could the french league cup question be solved by removing the competition end year or would that cause other problems?

Hi all,

How does the number of extra lower division teams to be promoted feature in the editor work? Does it randomly pick a team from a non-playable division or is it done reputation wise to promote to the lowest playable division and move 1 highest rep team up a division until it get to the division that needs the extra team so all divisions have the maximum number of teams required by altering the promotions/relegations from the affected leagues so they have the maximum set number of teams. Would i have to make sure that every level below the 1 with the missing team had this set to 1 as well or do i just need to do it for the league with the missing team? Is there anything else i need to change to make sure all leagues and cups use the correct number of teams from season 2 or does it all need to be rebuilt?

How does using this feature affect the league and Cup competitions from season 2 onwards do they all then use the correct maximum number of teams.

Can cup competitions be set to end after a certain number of years and how do i remove this if a competition has an end date set e.g. the french Coupe de league?

Hi,

Could anyone make me a some fantasy leagues please? I am not good with the editor otherwise i would do it myself.

I would like all these leagues to use every senior team club in the database provided it doesn't go more than 10/20 levels (including B teams if those play in the regular league pyramid of a given country) excluding the amateur 1's unless additional clubs are needed to even out the league numbers for the following countries. The countries i would like are Austria, Belgium, Holland, Sweden, France (as the 1 cup competition stops this season if i am correct), Denmark, Norway, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, and Switzerland (with Vaduz eligible to qualify for europe through the swiss league + cups still ) without all their weird play-offs to decide european places . These countries are my favourites to play in when i get bored of England and Italy due to the countries weather or because i have heard of so few clubs in those countries. All divisions and cups to have 6 of 12 subs able to be used except the Super cup where all 12 subs are able to be used. Reserve and under 18's/19's Divisions matching senior Divisions whatever is applicable to each individual country (all teams to have them created if they don't have 1 already).

I would like them roughly based on the way the Top 6 leagues in England are done (24 in all divisions with no more than 4 divisions to any level the same number of 4 promotion (top 3 promoted automatically and a playoff for 4th place between 4th and 7th in all leagues unless a league is split into 4 then only the champion of each league gets promoted)/4 relegation places from each division), a super cup between each countries FA Cup and League winner to be played before the first league game of every following season, an FA Cup with All league teams in it, a League cup (for the top 5 divisions only), a cup for every 2 divisions including divisions. Division rep to be closer to England, Spain, Holland, Italy and Portugal's leagues to help with clubs being able to compete continentally (champions league and Europa League wise) with clubs from those counttries,

Could someone recreate the English Leagues with Reserve (i think they are called under 23's leagues now) and under 18's leagues for all divisions (no squad registration/Match registration rules in any division and No Brexit) using all professional and semi-Pro clubs in the database as well as all the other existing Cups and additional not real Cups for the lower Divisions please?

24 teams in all divisions , a super cup between the FA Cup and League winner identical to the community shield to be played before the first league game of every following season, an FA Cup with All league teams in it, a League cup (for the top 5 divisions only), a cup for divisions 3 and 4 (exactly like the 1 that currently exists but without the regional split), and cups for every 2 divisions thereafter. Prize money, TV Monies and parachute payments to be exactly as they are in real life for the top division the rest of the divisions I will do myself. If not could someone make one please?

Initial TV Money for Top Divisions of £60 million the rest of the divisions in each country i will do myself, TV money per match of 2 mil top division and decreasing by £250,000 every division thereafter, League position money £15 milliion 1st place evently disrtibuted down to £1 million for 24th place depending on the division, Cup progression (money both for winning and losing in every round depending on the cup £25,000 per loss every round up to quarter final then £500,000, £1 million, £2.5 million for all cups except the FA Cup winning per round from £50,000 up to £1 million in quarter finals £2.5 milllion semi Finals and £5 million in the Final, FA cup prize money £25,000 per loss every round up to £1 million in the quarter final then £2.5 million in the semi final and £5 million in the Final) , Money for Cup matches on Tv (amount evenly distributed from first round to quarter finals of £5,000 1st round to £1 million quarter finals, £2.5 million Semi final and £5 million in the Final) and Winning the division (from £30 million top Division the rest of the divisions i will do myself) and Parachute payments for all divisions (£30 million top division the rest of the divisions i will do myself).

I would also like Germany recreated to match the other countries league systems using all available non amateur clubs in the Database in the leagues, B teams being unable to get promoted from every division 3rd division and below (with league reps being identical to those german leagues already in the game), Extinct B Clubs made non-extinct and added to any lower league. Additional clubs made non extinct if needed to make up league numbers

I would also like Spain recreated to match the other countries league systems using all available non amateur clubs in the Database in the leagues B teams being unable to get promoted from every division 3rd division and below (with league reps being identical to those Spanish leagues already in the game), Extinct B Clubs made non-extinct and added to any lower league. Could someone make some pre-season cup competitions with the previous season's winners of the top 5 divisions of Germany, Spain, England, Holland, Italy, France, Austria, Belgium, Holland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Serbia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and Switzerland play each other in individual Cups (£5 million Prize Money for each team)

Could someone make something similar to the Club World Cup to be played between january and february with a group stage then knockout rounds, group stage of 6 teams then semi final and final, (previous season's League winners of Germany, Spain, England, Holland, Italy, France, Austria, Belgium, Holland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Serbia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and Switzerland as well as a random Top division club from Brazil, Argentina, South Korea, USA and Canada please? The Prize money

If any of these countries/competitions have already been done similarly please let me know where i can find them. sorry for such a long post but i wanted to give as much information as could be needed.

Hi,

These files look amazing but when i look at them in the editor they all give the message 'this file was created in an older version of the database', do they still work on the 20.4.0 database please?

They all show up unverified in the editor and when i go to reverify them i get various different errors from stage 0 not having enough teams to be created to there not being enough teams qualified for the competition for it to be created and a few others in between.

Are these errors because of the latest database, can they be fixed or will the files work unverified pleae?

i'm really looking forward to using these files when i start playing properly as they make the game feel more complete and it makes having a decent youth team worthwhile.

That's ok nik, i may have misread your post.

I just did a quick search of the steam workshop to see if i could find any of the specific files you are looking for as i was looking for a particular competition myself and there appear to be some of the competitions you are looking foron there from both erikeagles and zangelmi, i'm not sure how good the files are though but they do appear to be single files. I could not find the orange troph, bruno matins trophy or the algarve football cup but there are also 2 versions of the match premier cup on there.

I'm not sure if this has the correct iberian cup and other competitions you are looking for but i am using the 100 Youth Tournaments from majesticeternity on here (here's the thread title to help you find it easier [FM20] 100 Youth Tournaments: Manage Your Youth Team! - V1.1 NEW Cups (Updated 2/11/20) ) I don't know exactly what tournaments are included in it as i haven't looked at it fully yet myself.

I have also seen a few of the other 1's on the Steam workshop but i can't remember who made them.
