  1. I'm an avid fan of 3 ATB formations and I can't help but feel as soon as I run 3 ATB for an entire season, I start seeing more results like 5-2, 4-3, 3-3, etc. Almost never do games end in a common 1-0 or 0-0 result running 3 ATB formations right now. Is it just me? I've tried it in 4 completely different leagues, different players, 3-5-2, 3-4-3, sometimes even with a DM in front of my defense line and defenders still seem to act SO passive all the time. Even when my wing backs drop back, which is exactly what they're supposed to do against the ball, even with a defensive chain of 5-6 players, I still concede the easiest of goals, because they would either: - Drop far too deep and passively stand in front of the keeper in their own box => allowing numerous long shots - Won't look for a challenge and tackle when they clearly should do it Reason I'm making this post is because I don't see these problems in a classical 4 ATB formation. I don't see it when playing with 2 Full Backs in a 4-3-2-1, 4-4-2 or 4-whatever else. What's your experience with 3 ATB in FM 24 so far? I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I have attached one example but just to tell you this advance before you tell me I will leave too much space in central positions with both central midfielders attacking ... I view every goal in 3D and it's usually what I described above. Solid back 5 or even 6 players behind the ball, still, opponents get to shoot because they're not really challenged much. I'm usually testing these formations with a team strength comparable to the best 4-8 teams in a league btw.
  2. This is a great post. I'd say I'm following 80% of what you do for the same reasons. Played FM for about 13 years now and I think that you can make almost "anything" work, as long as you're following some basic rules. Recently (especially now with FM 24) I struggle the most with 3 ATB formations though. Conceding a lot of goals there, and I don't know how to stop it because having 3 defenders all at once doesn't seem to be much of an advantage anymore. So I wonder if there were any "specific" rules / advice you follow when building a 3 ATB formation @Muja?
  3. I applied for a WP, it got rejected, then allocated an ESC, but now the player is still showing as "Work Permit Expired" and I can't use him. This happened in League One, England, and the player was definitely registered at the start of the season. Then after allocating the ESC, he remained unavailable.
  4. Not Argentina but Brazil league two. It was by far one of my favorite saves in recent years. Argentinian league sounds like pure mayhem too. The only thing I gotta say felt too easy, was competing in the CL there. (Don't be surprised if you make it to the semis in only 1-2 seasons already.) ARG and BRA teams are just OP and will always make it to the semi-finals it seems. Other than that, the league itself ... Absolutely worth a save.
  5. Please elaborate on that. Main reason I don't is because financial rewards are very slim when winning leagues, compared to other top 6 leagues in EU.
  6. So who of you is going to try some ridiculous bullsh... with their first save, instead of seriously taking a team from league 57 to the top like we always do?
  7. I truly wonder what average age we have in this thread. This list makes me feel like I'm young at 32.
  8. Gentlemen, brothers... It's an honor standing by your side while we await the blessing that will be FM 24. That said, here's another ******** meme for y'all, describing my thoughts when browsing the holy revelations ~ aka 'quality of life improvements Part Two'. 200 (1).gif.mp4

  10. just the fact that people care to elaborate their feelings about buying a $35 game tells me, that they are most likely a good fit to buy it. people who have that much free time would spend an easy 100h in the game. so you'd pay 0,35 per h to play the actual game.. on the low end, most likely. that said, obviously I'll buy it. what this genre needs is some serious competition though. clearly progress is slow to most and I can understand everyone who'd be frustrated with recent editions. I personally love the game and will support it regardless, even if it was an equivalent to FM 22. having been a researcher myself for a bundesliga club, I appreciate all the work that goes into updating the database. that alone would be worth the money, to me at least.
