The FM24 Youth Academy Challenge
Ron_Swanson replied to darren1983's topic in Challenges, Sign-Ups & Experiments
[FM23] Reymersholms IK - season 1 - 2023 Intake as expected lots of "high potential" but none of them making immediate impact to our squad. At least I won't have to use grey players anymore Very solid 3rd place, just staying safe, taking time for squad developement. Money is tight, we're around 0, not losing not earing much. I had to ask for a new contract ASAP to cut my wage from 550p/w to 140p/w or else we would drown in red. -

I'm still one version behind so playing FM23, but I wanted to give Sweden a try in this YAC format, so... Squad is very short, but at least I can fill my whole starting 11, only need to convert someone to DR. Pretty young team, they can still develop a bit although facilities are poor so I don't see high chances -

Polish league has something called Pro Junior System, it's different than Austrian, not that profitable but if done with right approach it can give a nice money boost at the end of season. Basicaly it's a ranking of teams who played most minutes with U21 players. You can see details in league overview --> squad rewards. Only few best teams get rewarded (except teams who end up in relegation zone) but in YAC it's fairly easy to reach the top of this ranking. Here's how it looks money-wise for Ekstraklasa (top tier) in FM23 (I don't have FM24 so someone needs to confirm if it's still that way) and for 1 liga (2nd tier) -
December 2035 A lot of games and a horrible streak. I'm so glad we got some W's at the beginning and we're still able to hold a mid-table spot. One win per month should be enough to stay in Prem Intake preview with not much more than wingers. We will see what our new HoYD can find - great attributes, fairly professional Jaydn Towers received a prestigeous award, he's just so solid and consistent

November 2035 We decided to play hockey with Blackburn, but that was the only bright side of this months games. The income from only one season in Premier League will be enough to max out facilities. This will be the final upgrade of training facilities. We also need to think about expanding Sixways, because we sold every game so far this season.

June 2035 Season summary. Moving Patrick Stanley to right wing made him even better player - great numbers, avg rating of 8.00 at this level is insane. I don't know if this squad will be able to avoid relegation, but all that experience is going to improve them definetely. And also don't forget about huge money that comes with being in the Premier League When it comes to individual awards it's still the same names Some players that were loaned so they have enough playing time

November 2034 We're keeping the upper half place. It could be better but I'm using a lot of squad rotation so more players get decent playing time, it will help them develop. There's no rush for promotion although Premiership money could be very helpful. I still don't get how those monthly finance reports works, it says we're almost half a million loss but overall balance is higher than previous month. Confusing

June 2034 Players contribution in this season. I've decided not to loan Jose Cerrillo and split playing time evenly between him and Moreno so that I can have at least one good goalie in case of injuries, rest of them is just 1*CA max so way to low for this league. Now I have 5 DC's so maybe one of them is going to be loaned next season. Side defense is still to short, only 3 I can use (and Glauco from time to time, but he's rather a DC). Midfield/wingers I have plenty to chose from, I'm more than happy with that but I'm still waiting for a wonderkid striker. No more Patrick Stanley in awards section but Jaydn Towers took his part Another fast upgrade, we need them maxed out ASAP Youth teams finished their competitions on different side of tables. U18s dominating year by year and U23s just being there and not doing much. It's because I keep there players who are to old for U18 and to bad for first team/loan - so mostly a bunch of guys who never really developed to their potential
