[Youth intake numbers decreasing]

Thanks. I didn’t know it was a known bug which is why I raised it here. 
 

id say my own youth intake is smaller than it was in fm20 for a top team with excellent youth recruitment though. Would consistently get 7/8 players rather than 3/4

It does look like a bug tbh. Played another season and all big clubs in the two loaded leagues (Italy and England) have just 3 or 4 new youth players. Between 6 and 10 was standard in FM20.

And for the third year in a row, not a single youth player from any club outside the loaded leagues (other than bizarrely, one from Maccabi Haifa).  So no youth intake from Ajax, Bayern, Real, Barca etc.

EDIT - just done a double check of the Dutch clubs who have great youth academies, Ajax, AZ, PSV, Feyenoord - not a single youth player since the first intake in 2021, there’s been three since.

End of season 3 here so only had 3 intakes. . Obviously if it was just my intake going down I wouldn’t report it, but the numbers are down for all teams and loaded leagues. I’ll play a few more seasons and report back

I’m playing with Spurs and have had 3 youth intakes now. Had 9 youth players in year 1, 5 in year 2 and 4 in year 3. 
 

this is replicated across other teams and leagues. I have Italy loaded and the major teams show a similar decrease in their intakes. There have been no youth players generated at all in Germany and Holland in the last two years....

 

I assume this is a bug?

Yeah also looking for a tactic with Inside Forwards. The ones here seem mostly to have wide midfielders or wingers in the midfield slot which virtually no real life teams uses (only team in the prem to use this is Burnley who have a 4-4-2 I think)

not a criticism as Knap does amazing work, would just like a 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 / 3-5-2 that works 😊

Here’s an example of loaning out Nohan Kenneh.  In previous versions you may get the “Say no to ...” messages but the “show interest in” ones are new, and I think unnecessary. You can see which clubs have made loan bids, I don’t think there’s any need for the show interest messages. - they clog up the inbox unnecessarily (I might easily loan out a dozen youngsters in the summer, for example)

[New scout assignment]

Hi Harry

I signed Malcolm Elias for Spurs to be my new scout at the start of the season. It’s now January any I still can’t edit his assignments (Edit Assignment button greyed out unclickable). Screenshot below :

 

EDIT to say those aren’t my assignments, they were auto-assigned when he joined and I can’t change them

On signing a new scout to replace the existing one, the options to edit the scouts assignments are greyed out. Gave it a week after the new scout joined and this was still the case. 

[Squad number selection]

When assigning squad numbers, when a number is already selected it is not shown as such, therefore it’s easy to assign a player further down the list a squad number already selected (in FM20 once a player was assigned a number it was highlighted to show that number had been assigned to a player)

[‘Seek loan deal”]

When offering out players for loan, you get ‘Club X seeks loan deal for Player X’ as a news message alongside the loan offer screen for that player. 
‘there’s one inbox item for each club interested, meaning if you’re offering out a lot of young players for loan and there’s dozens of clubs willing to take them, you get dozens of inbox messages, which really clogs it up. This did not happen in FM 20

There’s so much screen space available to show all the stats for a season in every competition. It means if I want to see all appearances, goals, assists etc for a player over their career it means I have to take screenshots at the end of every season and manually add them up. 
you can see all these stats for the current season but previous seasons (in game) are not clickable. 

@Alex Pitt just wondered if there’s a reason this isn’t on the game?

* tapping on the back arrow when in a player profile does not take you back, a double tap is required

* tapping on the player value in the Transfee Offer screen does not add the player value into the offer value box (as per previous versions), it stays at Unspecified

Also, in the transfer offer screen, tapping on the player value does not put this value in the offer value box (it stays at Unspecified) , you could do this on fm20

Only just loaded but looks very good so far, like the new darker interface and smaller font showing more detail

 

one thing I have noticed is that I seem to need to double tap when clicking the back arrow to go back a screen. Is this a bug or can this be changed in settings (I couldn’t see it anywhere)

If you want another tactic then if you ask them they may do a review. FM Scout provide PIs but may npt cover SPs.

Are screenshots of Team and Player instructions available for any of these tactics? I play Touch on the iPad and don’t have a Mac/computer so can’t download and transfer

first season up as champions

and a terrific second season finishing third and losing in extra time in the FA Cup semi final

Started a Forest Green save this week.  It’s gone pretty well....

won the leasing.com and the Euro Cup II last year so in the Euro Cup proper for season 24/25, this is my line up going into that season...

I set their playing time to Not Needed, transfer listed them and offered them out at unspecified. I’m playing on Touch on iPad, not sure if transfers work differently between that and the full game?

Cracking first season in the league, winning it comfortably. Less good in the cups, going out of the Carabao to WBA and the FA Cup to Arsenal (I fielded weakened teams in both though). More disappointing was a damp squib of a Champs League QF exit to Athletico, losing 1-0 in both legs. 
 

Made some big purchases in the first summer, Fernandes and Zaniolo are a brilliant midfield. From now on I’ll be prioritising young players rather than marquee signings - although I did just sign Vinicius Junior for 65M! (However he is a direct replacement for Son who went to Chelsea for 60M)

This is regards a hotfix for the attribute issue on Touch on iOS. I’m not getting any reply on the Touch forum. I’d just like to know of this is happening today, in a week, a month?
