Any update on this please SI? It’s a massive pain as I have to move all my reserve players to the senior squad (and then mark them as available for reserves) if I want to give them individual training. @Dan Sheppard

I appreciate the response. I’ll keep playing my Brighton save as they have a lot of very high potential womderkids (and I’m signing more), so will check on their progress after a few seasons

Also you are unable to assign individual training to players in the youth team (that I’ve been able to see anyway). Options are greyed out as below.

Just read the above. That’s absolutely ridiculous that you can’t change players positions at corners. Massive step backwards

Same as FM23 Touch on iPad, younger players just don’t develop. Played two full seasons one with Brighton and one with Spurs. Evan Ferguson (18), one of the best wonderkid strikers on the game, scored 20 goals averaging over 7. Not one attribute increased Destiny Udogie (20) one of the best young left backs, had a brilliant season playing nearly every game for Spurs (see below). No change in attributes, summary saying there’s even been a slight decrease. No injuries, morale/contract issues. This can’t be right.

I can’t seem to select individual training for players in my reserve squad (on ipad). I’ve tried changing the reserves training responsibility from assistant manager to manager (not that I want to be responsible) but this doesn’t work either. I want to be able to give young reserve players individual training ie to focus on their strength, but can’t seem to do this

Just played half a season with Brighton on iPad and noticed all the wonderkids are not developing at all, same issue as FM23 and why I didnt play it. holidayed the rest of the season and not one of Evan Ferguson, Carlos Baleba, Julio Enciso have increased any of their attributes by even one point. This is despite them all playing regularly, and well, all averaging above 7.0. This was THE biggest issue with FM23 and is a total game breaker. Please say it’s not the same for FM24, as apart from this it looks like an improvement

Will it actually be a playable game this time, rather than having game breaking issues that never get resolved a la 23? hence why I barely played 23, and still play Fm touch 21 on my iPad, it was perfect

Well said. Same here @Desmond Richardson such a disappointment. Really can’t understand the point in re-launching the touch version if there’s no interest in making it playable, or updating it when people point out huge flaws in the game.

Good luck with that. It’s been raised since release and they’ve done nothing about it, nearly two months now. Was so excited for this after a two year break on iPad, but it’s so much worse than FM21 touch it’s untrue. I’d happily just have that game with a data update at this point.

Same here. Cancelled Arcade sub - not paying for a game with such obvious flaws that they haven’t bothered to fix more than 6 weeks after release

@Desmond Richardson player search issue still not resolved. Still returns you to top of list when you scroll down and click on a player. same happens on your shortlist. Looks like player development still not totally fixed either judging my buryblades post

Yes but when? The games been out for 3 weeks. We’re paying a subscription for a game that is unusable. What’s the point in starting a long term save if you can’t properly develop young players? (Not having a go at you btw, just massive frustration with SI)

Young players technical stats don’t improve over time at all. @BuryBlade provided lots of screenshots showing this in the bugs forum

I’ve gone back to FM21 on iPad. The game is unplayable for me until they fix the lack of player development, and the incredibly annoying player search returning you to the top of the list each time you tap on a player to view. I find the lack of updates really poor from SI, these major issues were raised weeks ago and nothings changed.

That’s true, but the issue is that you have to keep manually choosing Cloud. If you save the game and go and do something else, it saves locally despite initially being saved on cloud. You have to do Save As and choose Cloud in order to play the game with the most recent save on another device. You should be able to choose default save location as Cloud and it automatically saves there.

I’m finding scouting and signing youth players frustrating. I’ve set my recruitment focus to look for 4 star potential and above players aged up to 19 in all of Europe, but am getting no recommendations at all. Why aren’t they bringing back players like Gavi, who is in my game and not scouted And every youth player I try and sign from abroad for Arsenal - no matter how lowly their club and league reputation - are all coming back with “I have absolutely no interest in discussing terms with you under any circumstances”. Is this a bug? Is it happening on the pc game too?
