  1. September 2022 More close games, and even though we lost the last two I'm still very optimistic.
  2. August 2022 A huge missed opportunity against Venlo, but a good opening win against Groningen and running it close with Feyenoord.
  3. 2022 Preseason Transfers (Out) No one of note really leaves, it was moreso to free up some wage space. Transfers (In) In total we spent our budget of 1.8m up front, with the rest of the money spent in yearly instalments in my experiment of betting against the future success of the club. We have a much stronger first XI as a result, but I'm not sure if it will be enough in the Eredivisie. Goalkeeper Central Defenders Wing Backs Defensive Midfielder Central Midfielders A good set of friendlies, and the win over Sparta Rotterdam is encouraging. Unsurprisingly, we're predicted to battle against relegation, and all I want is to avoid it by any means necessary.
  4. A fantastic first season, and we're promoted to the Eredivisie as champions Best XI Ayoub El Harrak - Laurent Lemoine - Florian Flick Record Breakers Award Winners Progress
  5. 2022 Youth Intake Albert Maas 1A - Kevin Drijver 1B - Giovanni van Lare 1C* A decent opening intake, but I don't expect them to contribute much as the save continues.
  6. February 2022 It is very much a two horse race, everyone else is just along for the ride at this point.
  7. January 2022 We have the chance to go top as VVV drop points to De Graafschap. Transfers (Out) A big sale as starting CB Dion Malone heads to the Eredivisie. Transfers (In) Here is Dion's replacement, bought for 80k up front and then 3 yearly instalments which brings it up to the 375k.
  8. December 2021 The Hague end our unbeaten streak, and Venlo jump us to hold the league lead heading into the new year. It's an okay opening preview.
  9. November 2021 The machine is really firing now, and we power through November to top the table.
  10. October 2021 Out of the cup at the first hurdle, but we continue to be strong in the league and VVV are in our sights.
  11. 2021 Preseason Heavy reliance on loans here, as I shift the budget towards affording wages. Paying money for players will come later. Central Defenders Wing Backs Strikers An average preseason, but everyone is just getting used to things so I'm not real worried. This, however, is worrying. There's immediate expectations to win the league.
  12. Part VII: A Change in Strategy There's been a bit of a change of plans when it comes to picking a team. I want to put more emphasis on academy players, giving them an opportunity rather than bringing in players to fill the reserves, starving the youngsters of a chance to break through. I'll still be buying players, but they'll be first team contributors. The academy aspect is why I chose NAC. They're the team with the best facilities that weren't relegated from the Eredivisie last season, so it allows me to build a base from an established 2nd tier team, while also building on their fairly illustrious history. Bordered by Belgium to the south and Germany to the east, these three nations (including ours) will be the source of our recruiting. Understandably, the team starts off with a high overall, as it's a decent team and there are only two playable divisions in the Netherlands as opposed to the other nations.
  13. All Time Best XI Update Two players join the honour roll, including our first ever youth academy product to be included. Santa Marta are the second oldest squad to win the Champions League, and also the second worst. Next stop, the Netherlands!
  14. League title secured, Champions League won, Portugal is complete Best XI Sandro - Iván Ortiz - Gastón Sánchez Record Breakers Award Winners Progress
  15. April 2036 It's between us and Porto with 3 games to go in the league, and after we get revenge on Man United we head to Dortmund with a slight advantage, one that could put us into the Champions League final!
  16. March2036 It's as close as it could be at the top. We get past Bayern, but United is up next. We weren't remotely competitive with them in the group stage games, but maybe come knockout football we can turn it on. For the second year running, João Santos 12A* wins the NxGn award National Team Two solid tune up wins ahead of the Euros.
  17. 2036 Youth Intake Tiago Matos 15A - Hélder Alves 15B* - Artur Mussagi 15C As I expected it wasn't as strong as previous seasons, but there's still some very good prospects there!
  18. February 2036 We have now won every available top competition in Portugal with the league cup win, and a quarter final spot beckons after an excellent performance at home against Bayern.
  19. January 2036 A very depleted side loses to Porto but played really well, and it's definitely a 3 horse race. Transfers (Out) When Barcelona came calling it was hard to turn them down. Unfortunately I was unable to find a suitable replacement in January, as they all wanted ridiculous money and wages, but we should be fine.
  20. December 2035 A busy month, but a pretty successful one. Porto and Benfica are going to be really tough to beat, but we face them at home for our return legs. We were flogged by Bayern 5 seasons ago, but we're much better now. How much better will be determined when we play them again. It's been a remarkable year for Santos 12A*. He's won the NxGn award, and now the European Golden Boy and U21 World Player of the Year! Our good intakes seem to be coming to a slow but steady end.
