Well done on this, looks like it has been a success so far, I have just read through the entire thread today. I did the same with Wales in FM 23 (The mighty Conwy Borough) and had great fun with it but ended it before I had reached our end goal as the other teams in Wales always let me down in Europe! Hope you have better luck!

27/28 Season (Summer Transfer Window) Money Money MONEY!!!! Oh happy days! I sold him to West Brom for 950K with the sell on clause and it paid off! I now have £20m to spend this transfer window. Exciting times!

Once you have clicked subscribe to the database edits, you will need to close FM (if you have it open) and re-open it. Click on start new career mode and in the top right under "database" click on the box and there will be some tick boxes and you just tick the ones you want to use. Screenshot below to help.

26/27 Season This was our first season in Serie A and we were predicted to finish dead last at the start of the season. I had a choice to either sit back and defend or stick my the attacking football we have been used to, I chose the latter and....it paid of. 15th was much higher than we could have hoped for, and finally the finance are looking much healthier! Transfers This year we were given some money to spend but I stuck with the guys who brought me up. When w got to January, things weren't looking so good so I broke our transfer record and spent the entire budget on a young Left Back We spent £5.75m (his release clause) to bring this guy BACK to Victor San Marino. Yes, back! We sold this guy to Empoli at the beginning of the last season for £1.3m, but we also put in a 50% profit sell on clause on there too, so when we bought him we got a nice £2.2m in cash back! He is easily our best player and very worth it as his performances helped p survive. National Team We have risen up to 207th in the rankings, slow but steady! I have started to sign every San Marino youth player who arrives on youth intake day even if they look terrible. I can then send these out for loans etc or try to give them away for free to the San Marino teams!

4 Season update I am finally doing my first proper update for this save. I haven't done anything earlier as I was making sure I would stick to it (This FM has been difficult to get invested into a save). I have been focusing on the team first before trying to bring the National team up. We have been incredibly lucky and after 4 seasons find ourselves in Serie A (Just!). We struggled in the first season but back to back promotions got us up to Serie B. We finished 5th but managed to draw the play off final but get promoted because we were the higher seed??? Didn't know this was a thing but very glad! The 25/26 Season was very difficult. A lot of out young players were getting a lot of attention and as we were struggling financially the board were accepting offers left, right and centre. We sold 5 of our starting line up for a combined total of £6m, but on a few of them I managed to get 50% profit sell on fee. All 5 players jumped up in value once they moved to the higher clubs so hopefully we can make some more money off them later! All 5 of them stayed with us on loan until the end of the season to see us promoted. Serie A This new season will be much tougher, our best players have gone and the media are confident of us returning to Serie B. None of the 5 players to leave want to come back on loan so we have tried to replace but we have only been able to replace them with players good enough for Serie B or C. This will be a long season! National Team The only success here has been a win against Cyprus in a friendly, but it is a start!

Hi Everyone! I was tempted to start a similar challenge for Wales (but this seemed much more fun). I took over Victor San Marino (edited to Serie D) and I am loving it so far. I have also downloaded the San Marino league and running that too to try and boost the number of San Marino players being produced. I simmed the first season to make sure there was no issues with the database, then took over at the beginning of the 23/24. I checked to see how the national team was doing and to see if I can take over them too but it looks like they have already managed a win! Euro Championship Qualifiers but I was pretty shocked. My plan was to forcefully take the position from him but I doubt I can replicate his great success Does this mean you can add Fabrizio Constantini to the hall of fame :P
