  1. Few signings and a few out of the door in January. Most notably out of the door were...

    • Jamaal Lascelles (£2.4mil)
    • Martin Dubravka (£17.25mil)
    • Sean Longstaff (£1.4mil)

Both Lascelles and Longstaff were complaining about game time and had to be moved on. I would have preferred to get more for Longstaff due to his potential, but ultimately I need players who want to be here.

Martin Dubravka was moved on despite his good form after he returned from injury for two reasons. One being that we signed a new goalkeeper and two being that he's 33 years old. I feel we got an amazing offer considering his age.

    The players in were...

    • André Onana (£7.5mil)
    • Rodrigo Ribeiro (£5.5mil)
    • Christian Mosquera (Loan to buy for £17mil)

For whatever reason Andre Onana was on the transfer list due to a dispute with Ajax. We had a goalkeeper who only had a couple of seasons left really and with the price tag of Onana it was a complete no-brainer!

I've also been searching for quality prospects to play as backup for the team since November when players started asking for moves away. I found two players at Sporting, but due to financial restraints, I was only able to bring in Rodrigo Ribeiro. The other lad is still 16, so I wasn't able to get him on loan to buy. Then I found Christian Mosquera at Valencia who has been doing well for the B team and with Lascelles out of the door, we needed a backup center back.

  2. Our best performance all season and our most important game to date! Liverpool were just 1 point behind us and we've just blown them away! Look at those Liverpool match ratings! Robertson has the 2nd best average rating in the league and we've just made him look like a Sunday league player...

Our average positions were also impressive compared to Liverpool, it's as if they were parking the bus!

  3. Having a great start as Newcastle United! Got a lot to fine tune over the coming seasons, but I've made a start on staff, I'm working on training schedules, keeping a close eye on the way my players train, getting really good performances from the players, not spending beyond FFP and just generally having a good time.

Callum Wilson is an absolute beast with 16 goals in 16 games and we are sitting top of the table, although I'm under no elusions that things get harder after December due to fatigue and such things, but I'm hoping my training schedules can negate some of that.

A few things I still need to implement are  scouting and youth production. I have several players in the first team complaining about lack of game time, so hopefully next season I can have those replaced with potential talent, which means I need to get that scouting department overhauled!

You really don't see an issue with this? You really think it's normal for PSG and Man City to generate £400m of EXTRA sponsorship each season and that £200m mysteriously appears in thier account (not an owner cadh injection with an inbox message, it just appears)? This doesn't just happen with Tycoon clubs by the way my save either Everton and Coventry City the same happens on a smaller scale, I just spend recklessly and get saved by these absurd cash injections.

In my third summer I spent £850m with a £480m net spend while increasing my wage budget from £4m, to £6.5m. Is that normal? No, no it is not.

Would it be normal for PSG to buy Bastoni, De Jong, De Ligt, Moriba, Moukoko, Theo Hernandez, Lautaro Martinez, Vinicius Junior and Giovanni Reyna in one window without consequences? Because that is what I've just done with Newcastle. It's not in the slightest bit realistic, it's ridiculous that the game allows it.

I know I'm banging my head against a brick wall though, the ardent defence of serious issues with the game from select users on this forum is why I rarely bother to post here anymore.

But if you feel like its a cheat of some sort, then why do it in the first place? The game isn't forcing you to make those decisions. In this scenario you appear to be your own enemy really.

  5. Well it seems like most of you are enjoying the save with Newcastle United, so I've decided to have a bit of fun myself and who knows where it will take me...

I have finalised my squad for the summer transfer window, with a few outgoing deals to go through. I've put some emphasis on defenders for this window as I feel going forward, Newcastle aren't a bad side, but at the back they aren't so good. We have signed...

    Gabriel Paulista

    Tanguy Nianzou

    Declan Rice

    Jamal Musiala

Youssoufa Moukoko (Joins in January 2023)

    Jules Kounde (Loan to buy)

Unfortunately due to Kounde having a £68mil buy out clause, I wasn't able to buy him due to our other business which would have put us in peril with FFP. However, I came to a compromise with Sevilla thankfully where I pay them £1.4mil per month to loan and then buy him next season for the £68mil. I just didn't want to go into this season without Kounde, so will happily give up the extra funds to secure him.

This means we now have 2 central defenders of good quality in Gabriel Paulista and Jules Kounde, whilst Tanguy Nianzou has good potential and can play as backup for both central defenders and Declan Rice in Defensive Midfield.

Jamal Musiala signing speaks for itself really, not much to say except I'm excited to see how he performs. Youssoufa Moukoko is worth waiting on and will hopefully get some game time with Dortmund before he arrives as an improved player and our star striker of the future.

Tried the demo, been on it for about 5 hours:

Our midfield really have regressed attribute wise, fred has gone from an ok cm to a must GET RID ASAP! Donny is still strong. Got the board to get 80m for Rice and somehow got him on 80k wages...

Wide players don't cut in as IW/IF's, they run wide for some reason and really kills my attacks.

AWB also needs sold, he's awful, dalot attribute wise is so much better. Also found slower tempo to be damaging more than useful, they just pass it around and nothing comes off it. Gonna go through pre season and test it again but im having much fun using higher tempo, short passing.

I think with AWB it depends how you use him, I've managed to get success out of him, although not as good as Shaw on the opposite side.

If this is polite to you than OK, since you are take Warlock advocate role here.

    @warlock

And if one number will ruin your game experience I'm sorry. No more CA PA without spoiler.

No it wasn't polite and I never said it was, however the fact is you broke a rule which was put in place to respect those around you and their way of playing the game, so it's not about advocating anything. Just be the bigger man like BigV (no pun intended) and admit you made a mistake and don't say "I'm sorry" when it's very clear from that sentence that you actually aren't, it just looks childish.

Anyway, as I've already said, we aren't here to argue (which it seems we are starting to do), so if you don't agree with what I'm saying, then that's fine, I have nothing more to say.

Well yes it is PA, as you knew.

I don't need a lecture from you on this If there is rule on hidden attributes than admin/mod should warn us, after all I mention one player and in picture above you have over 30 players.

I'm 38, and with job, wife and two sons I don't have 15 hours a day to play and search every details. Playing CM/FM for over 25 years and only in last two FMs I bought In Game Editor just to see make some changes in Premier League for example (more subs or more players involved in first team - not only 25 over 21 years). So you can't call every player who have InGameEditor "cheater". Keep that in mind.

Even with PA you don't have guaranties that you can win all with any club in the World. If you don't have good coaches or training system is unlikely for youngster to improve.

Have a nice day and let's play FM. Full version is out there!

Warlock is just simply asking you to put it in a spoiler, a very simple request. It's not like he's telling you not to post it at all. If you can't respect those around you, that's when arguments start and none of us are here for arguments (hopefully). I for one couldn't really care that you posted it, but I know a lot of people on these forums like to play the game as it was originally intended and posting information like that without spoilers could potentially ruin their experience of the game (once you've seen it, it can't be unseen). His opinion is that it's a cheat because of the way he plays the game, you can't change that opinion no matter how you spin it. Also, if you like to play that way and don't consider it a cheat, nobody is (or should) be here to judge you for that, as that's how you get your enjoyment from the game. I hope that you will listen and don't take this as an attack.

Are United broken on this BETA? I’m running an Arsenal save at the moment and 9 games in they are top having won the lot, scoring 30 goals (Ronaldo - 13) and conceded only 3. This includes a 3-0 vs Liverpool, 6-1 Man City, 5-0 Leicester and defeated my side 3-1. I would add a victory over Chelsea to that impressive list but they are currently 19th after 10 games with just 4 points. Strangely enough Tuchel’s job security is still stable. Very interesting save indeed. United’s closest rival currently is Everton with 21 points followed by Liverpool on 18 and Leeds on 17.

I think Ronaldo is what is broken.

Yeah Ronaldo is very broken, managed to get him 69 goals in a single season.

Nice. What formation are you using?

3-4-3 or 3-2-2-3 essentially. 3 at the back (2 wide CB's and 1 Libero), 2 central midfielders, 2 inside forwards and 3 strikers (2 advanced and 1 poacher).

It's extremely attacking and can only use it with top teams I would assume, but I basically used United as a team to test my tactic. Scored 143 in the league, but conceded 73. Ended up 2nd place unfortunately, but won the Champions League and Carabao Cup, reaching Quarters of the FA Cup. 62 goals in the Champions League from 333 shots over 13 matches. We also won the most tackles as well which is a surprising one.

    Ronaldo 58 goals, 30 assists

    Cavani 44 goals, 13 assists

    Martial 34 goals, 12 assists

    Greenwood 24 goals, 16 assists

    Pogba 20 goals, 18 assists

    Fernandes 16 goals, 34 assists

    Rashford 10 goals, 13 assists

    Sancho 8 goals, 20 assists

Literally everyone in the squad scored goals (over 5 games), except Varane, Matic and the Henderson (don't know why De Gea wasn't used).

  11. FM22

I didn't get much further with the save as I've been pretty busy, but I have just purchased FM22, so I will be starting a save very soon! I have already set it up and I've decided to start lower down in the leagues, but staying within the Greater Manchester area! I've chosen none other than Salford :hammer:

I'm currently in the tactical creation phase, so I won't be doing anything with this save yet. I'm testing out my first tactic with Manchester United and so far the results are insane, so this may well be the tactic I will implement with Salford.

Would be nice if some people joined me for FM22 :D
