I always thought they'd punched above their weight to get Brendan Rodgers, so to be linked with those managers, especially Ancelotti is in my opinion unrealistic.
Have you thought about moving to another club in Scotland? I think if I ever did leave Rangers then that would be what I'd do, but that's because I want to see the country progress domestically as well as Internationally, it's just something I've always been interested in and partly the reason I'm doing a Rangers save. It would be amazing if there was a top 4 in Scotland who challenge for the Champions League every season.

Looks like he could be a good player. If I spot a young talent, I always try to get them into first team action as soon as I can.
This just happened in my save, they've had an awful season!

That's unfortunate, have you got someone to replace him? Just had my first youth intake, all look like a waste of time except a defender who might do well but far from amazing and then a striker who could possibly be a future striker for us, but definitely not at a wonderkid level potential. He's an advanced forward though which is what I use so that's a bonus I guess.

Wow I can't believe what just happened and how we survived??? I was sure after the sending off it was all over having already used all 3 subs early on when it was 4-0, so had a cm in cd and a st at mc!

On another note - I have had something of a fire sale - the game was becoming a bit easy so have raised £250m in transfer funds by selling players that were getting a bit fed up at not being elite. Got enough in reserve to do well, the problem now is that the players I identify to come and improve want massive wages, which I am not sure I want to pay to be honest.
Have any other teams been successful within Europe from Scotland on your save?

Sorry Eug04 I'm in the first season
Currently I'm struggling massively with defenders. Currently using a central midfielder at the back because Katic is injured and a right back at left back because Barisic is injured, not looking good for the upcoming Europa League first knockout round...
I can't even seem to sign anyone, I even tried Patrice Evra and he doesn't want to know

Decided to let Joe Worrall terminate his loan with us. He didn't make a single appearance in over half a season, so I thought we should look to find someone to improve the squad in his place.
I decided to look to improve our midfield as central midfield seems to be our weaker point (if you can call someone averaging a 7.49 rating weak?)
I've also made an offer to buy Saido Berahino as he is transfer listed and hopefully I can develop him a bit more towards his potential and he fits perfectly to our tactic as we use two Advanced Forwards. He may even become first choice next season when Defoe's loan ends?

I'm using TFF - CONQUEROR V3 and it is absolutely insane! I tried it with Salford and played almost a full season, winning the league way before the end of the season, even reaching the Quarter Finals of the FA Cup, albeit by luck of the draw, although we did beat Bournemouth in the 3rd round. We lost to Spurs 3 - 2. In the league we had over a +100 goal difference.
I decided to start a new save, this time with Rangers. 17 games in, we've won 17, scored 68 and conceded 10! We've won the Betfred cup, beating Celtic 6 - 1 in the final with 10 men from the 66th minute. We've only lost one game all season which was against Villarreal. (1-0)

Coincidentally it coincided with Celtic failing to win the league for the first time, Rangers now completely dominant.

The schedule is brutal with the Euro matches added! I use a team of backup players for the matches between the Euro, and it has resulted in a league match loss and a Betfred Cup match loss (just as well, I hate the moronic Betfred Cup). But the kids on the backup squad beat Livingston last time out so maybe they are maturing.
Catching Celtic may not be possible with our tiny budget (payroll is $1.45 million) but maybe a miracle will happen. Rangers are winless in 3 league matches this season and appear to be a non-factor.
Nice work with Hamilton, I was tempted to use a weaker team, but the revival of Rangers was too much of a pull. Also with the updated database I was interested to see how much I could get from Jermain Defoe.

Betfred Cup Final, we were winning 2 - 1 and then as per usual Lassana Coulibaly decides he's going to get himself sent off in the 66th minute to make it 3 red cards so far this season! I don't know what happened, but the flood gates opened and Morelos turned into Cristiano Ronaldo and Connor Goldson turned into Nemanja Vidic!

No he's still there, the only player they sold was Tierney and they brought in Scott Bain, Dimitar Berbatov and Federico Ricca, so not massive changes really.

I've taken Dumbarton from League One to the Premiership, it's taken until 2022 but we made it. Finished 6th in the my first season up. Gone full time which is huge.
Should be the Scottish thread to be honest, don't see why it can't be. Congrats on reaching the top

Can't believe how well we've been playing recently, absolutely unreal front 3 of Kent, Malcolm & Joveljic.
Malcolm was a deadline day addition from Barca on loan, 22.5k a week wages and zero loan fee was a no brainer.
Might just be building my best ever squad with Rangers on any FM, if i can renew Malcolm's deal until the end of next season then things are looking good indeed.

I don't know to be honest, I know pretty much nothing about Scottish football to the point where I haven't even looked to make any transfers first season. However, Barisic does seem to be overrated, 6 goals and 6 assists in 8 matches is insane for a left back for me

I think I understand what everyone means by Celtic are overpowered. I just beat Aberdeen away (1-4) in our first match of the season and I thought we were good. Then I look at Celtic result and they went and won their first match at home to Livingston (9-1). I'm not optimistic about surpassing them in this first season! They did just sell Tierney to Liverpool though, so that's a plus!

18.2.2 as you mentioned it was the best (I think). Unfortunately I may not be able to use it now until at the very least January because Hernandez and Cutrone just got injured in the same match, Cutrone broke his leg and Hernandez broke his collarbone... I bought a very promising 16 year old striker in the summer, so I may give it a go with him, Lanzini and Arnautovic, but I can't see it working well.

Started my second season with West Ham after the success of the 1st winning the premier league, we had a poor first two games losing to Arsenal 3-2 in the shield and then losing our opening game 5-3 to man city. I decided I wanted to try a different tactic for my away games, so I came across this one. I liked the fact that I could keep Arnautovic in the side despite there being no wingers.
This is what has happened so far since using this tactic for away games...

For what its worth, here is my feedback. I think this game has a lot of potential and I'm sure it will come good at some point in the new year, but right now it is far from the complete version. I have been buying FM since 2007 and when I compare FM 2018 to every other version at the point we're at right now (2 or 3 weeks after release?), it has to be the worse of the lot with regards to bugs. Some people may not agree with that, but remember this is just my personal experience.
