  1. Thank you so much! That was such a simple fix and it is annoying that I couldn't spot it. Genuinely spent 4 days rebuilding this from scratch to try and fix this, even asked for help from someone who just called my file a mess. Which it is, but still not all that helpful. The first error is something that worked pre-patch. So I didn't realise it needed that.
  2. I have been having an issue with a file that refused to take the teams it needs for a promotion playoff at the end of a season. This file worked without issue before the update a couple of weeks ago and hasn't worked since. The issue is in the K3 League - the 3rd tier. When testing the rules in the editor, it gives the following error at the end of the 2023 season I did a bit of poking around to test what was causing it and it seems like it isn't finishing a promotion playoff from the K4 League, the 4th tier, so it isn't adding the promoted team in from the lower league. Stage 1 from the K4 sets a team to qualify for a promotion/relegation stage in the K3, stage 2. The Stage 2 of K3 isn't taking any team from the K4 promotion playoff, as I have worked out from testing. Something has changed since the last update but I can't work out why. If anyone can poke around and work it out, I would be grateful. MediocreJake's Korea FM23 - KL1 To K4 - v1.12.fmfMediocreJake's Korea FM23 - KL1 To K4 - v1.12.fmf. As a separate test, I created a file that has a completely new promotion setup to see if the old system was just over-complicated and it is still causing an issue when testing the K4 league in the editor with an error about not setting up stage 1 in the K3 league. I would also appreciate it if anyone can poke around this cleaner setup and point me towards whatever is causing the error. _____000.fmf
  3. I'd like to add something somewhat anecdotal to this. I have a file that has 180+ leagues at level 7 in Korea. For 5 years, the editor has failed to verify the 7th tier at all. It runs the verification, offers no error and keeps the whole file as 6/7 leagues verified. The only way I have been able to use my file is to export it as an XML, edit the file in Notepad to basically 'trick' the file into marking the 7th tier as verified and then using that in game. This has worked perfectly every year since 2017. And the 7th tier runs flawlessly too in game with no issues, so the editor is just not marking it as verified for no good reason. So working around some the weirdness of the editor is enough of a reason personally to allow XML files to be used still. Being able to export as an XML is the only way I have been able to get this to work and removing that option just means I can no longer use the large tier 7 in my database.
  4. I'll be honest, I have messed with these in the past. And the results aren't perfect. They seem to take other numbers into consideration, possibly reputation? But I dunno. I will do some testing and see if I can get it to be somewhat closer to the real life attendances.
  5. I actually haven't as I assumed the Korean researchers managed to get this right. I just checked and the default database has the Anyang attendance at 595, min of 355 and max of 1029. I can take a look at them before my next release though if they are all off.
  6. Here is the 3rd version of my Korean 2023 database. This includes the top 2 tiers that are playable already, with the addition of the K3 and K4, the 3rd and 4th tier. The K3 and K4 were created in 2020 after combining the old 3rd tier Korean National League, the 4th tier K3 Advanced and the 5th tier K3 Basic. In that time, these leagues are yet to fully settle, with handfuls of new teams joining and some dissolving entirely. Next year is similar, as 2 K3 teams are leaving the 3rd tier after being accepted into the K League 2 for 2023, as there is no active promotion system between the 3rd and 2nd tier. 2 new teams are also very likely joining the K4 next year too. The K4 also incudes 5 K League B teams. I have also created badges, but they are too large of a file to upload here so they are downloadable from my Drive - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SxYLCObn65nEuvluy2onGz9B1VK8KcIG/view?usp=sharing The list of changes are as follows: Summer UPDATE: Tranfers Updated to 19/8/2023 K5, K6 and K7 leagues all updated to 2023 teams Removed Goyang Happiness from K4 (folder IRL) Managers in top 4 leagues updated New K League 1 foreigner rules added (5 from anywhere in the world +1 from Asia in the league registered squad & 3 from anywhere in the world +1 from Asia in the match day squad) AFC Champions League will use the correct teams qualified from 2022 season (Ulsan, Jeonbuk, Pohang & Incheon) Transfers Updated to 25th March 2023 Season start date set to January 2023 K League 2 expanded to 13 teams, Cheongju and Cheonan added Set to play 36 games, 3 times against each team (Unknown how the 2023 season will work yet) K3 and K4 added with correct teams and promotion system between them Some stadium names tweaked, a few added, stadium seat colours changed for a handful of places Created 500+ players to fill the K3 and K4 squads (Thanks to the data at Transfermarkt) Goyang Happiness and Sejong Vanesse, heavily rumoured to be in the K4 next season, added to the K4 All managers updated to 13th November 2022 Reserve Leagues Tweaked to stop Gangwon, Jeonbuk, Daegu and Daejeon entering another reserve team into the league (was a bug with B teams) Seoul E Land set at Mokdong Stadium and will move back to their normal stadium in 2025 FA Cup has been fixed to make sure it takes the correct amount of teams from K4 and K5 Fantasy promotion system added between KL2 and K3 (use the 'NO Fantasy' FMF file for the real life setup!) 7. I'm currently fixing the entire lack of squads in the K3 and K4, but I should have a release this week. I will be posting it on these forums when it is ready.
  8. I am having issues where my central defender in a defence of 3 is running up the pitch, past the midfielders and past the ball too and just sitting in an attacking role. I have uploaded a video by the title of 'Football Manager 2023 2022-10-21 11-55-35.mp4' I have also uploaded my save file 'Jaeya Yoon - Incheon.fm' This also seems to coincide with the defensive line sitting too far up the pitch, even with the 'Drop Off More' instruction. I will also attach an image of my tactics, but I don't think it is related to that.
  9. Been 8 months now. Was this ever looked into? It still happens after the updates in the interim.
  10. This works in an older file and was recommended by another person who uses the editor to use my system as it is. It was never an issue until now and it runs fine as an XML so the system works fine. It is an editor issue. I have attached my old working file if you want to take a look, the system with the K6 being separated works fine. MediocreJake Korean K1-K6 22.4 - NO K3 Promotion - v5.1.fmf
  11. I've been trying to fix this issue all weekend and it has finally broken me, as I really don't understand. I am re-creating a database from scratch, a database which runs fine, but is a little messy in the database section. I have created the advanced rules in an exact copy of my old working file, but when verifying the K5 (fifth tier), I get the error in the image below. Yes, I have made sure that league has 6 teams. It does. I have made sure all 13 leagues at that tier have the correct teams in the database. They also do. I have checked the 6th tier promotions to make sure they are going to the right place. I have made sure all relegations from the 13 fifth tier teams relegate to the right place and they do. I have tested with and without the required teams in the nation section, no difference. Tried changing the min and max teams in the league itself and also no difference. The one thing that annoys me the most is that I know this file works perfectly. Not only is this advanced system a literal copy of the my old database, which works perfectly, but I have exported this file as an XML file and tried that. That worked. I used the trick and edited the 'verf' lines in the XML to trick FM into thinking that the 6 tiers are verified, loaded it into the game and checked every relegation and promotion between the 13 5th tier leagues and the 32 6th tier leagues. They worked perfectly. I ran it for several seasons and there was absolutely zero issues. So the system works great, but the editor just throws this random 'incorrect teams' error at me every single time. I have also checked about 50 threads on this site alone and a couple dozen elsewhere, that mentioned anything about this type of error and I am yet to find a solution after testing many of those. Also to note, the league in the error is the top fifth tier team alphabetically, which makes me think it is just looking at the top alphabetical league in the fifth tier and it just panicking. The errors in the editor can be useless sometimes. I would use XML as the file output if possible, but there is a stupid bug that SI haven't fixed with the XML that causes dozens of teams kit colours and team colours to just show as black and ruins the aesthetic of the file. Does anybody want to take a quick poke around the file and see if they can spot anything glaringly obvious? I would be much appreciative. ___Rebuild Korea 0.56.fmf
  12. Would I need to include the .lnc file with my database in the future? I assume I would have to
  13. I'm not sure why the K4 League was even in the Competitions section there, I think I fixed that immediately after posting. I have actually added the K4 League into the 'Division For Promoted Teams' section and tested and it still won't work. The error does say there aren't enough teams in K4 League during testing, saying it needs 17 and it can only find 16. But if I test the K5 League, then it says that one of the K5 child competitions doesn't have enough teams. So it seems like K4 is relegating a team to the abyss, but the K5 League Championship is also promoting a team to the abyss. So the error occurs early on in the Testing. This happened before in a different tier because it was relegating a team to a lower parent league with a bunch of child competitions, but wasn't filling the gap of the higher league with a promoted team. So I assume the error either comes from the K4 relegating into a parent competition and not being able to see the children, so doesn't assign a league. Or the more likely scenario in my head, the K5 League Championship isn't promoting up to the K4 league.
  14. I have been creating a Korean database for a few years now, but I have always done it in English. When Korean users want to use my database, all my data shows in their game as English. Of course, the original names of the data are in Korean (from the default SI language files), but anything I have edited is in English. I was planning on finishing up my file in English and then spending a large portion of time translating all my English data into Korean. The only issue with that is that if I need to edit the file in the future, I would need to edit the English one and the Korean one separately, which would be twice the work. Is there a way to create some sort of language file just for the data so I can keep my main advanced database file in English and I can just leave the Korean translation data as a separate file?
  15. I'm having an issue with a file I am testing. I can't for the life of me get the 5th tier to promote to the 4th tier and I know I am missing something glaringly obvious. The 5th tier is essentially a parent competition to 13 competitions. At the end of the season, the 13 winners of each child competition go into a cup in the K5 League (5th tier) and the winner is the 5th tier champion. All I am trying to do now is make that winner get promoted to the K4 League (4th tier). I have set up the promotion in the fate actions and set the relegation in the 4th tier too. All I am trying to do currently is to get the winner of that K5 5th tier championship to get promoted and the 1 4th tier team that is relegated to essentially take its spot. I am not trying to do any sort of dynamic or regional relegation, just a straight swap. This is especially frustrating because I have this system working fine between the 7th tier and 6th tier (these are a bit more regional though). And I have essentially just copied that system to a higher tier. I can't work out what is wrong and I assume I have just missed something obvious, so if anyone can point at the issue, that would be great. ___K5 Promotion Test 0.3.fmf
  16. The FA Cup? Yes. Although it hasn't been updated to a proper 2022 format yet, where it takes less K5 teams.
  17. I'm unsure how to properly explain this issue, as it is something I have not seen before. I have enabled the 3rd and 4th tier in the Korean Leagues. I have edited all the teams' colours and kit colours. I did this at release and released the file at the end of November. There was no issue. Now, suddenly after the most recent FM update, my database file shows all of the 4th tier as having black and white crests and black home and away kits, completely disregarding my edits. It also shows most teams in the 3rd tier too that have the same issue. Everything below the 4th tier, levels 5, 6 and 7 don't have this issue at all. I should also note that my file is too large to be a FMF file, so it is exported as an XML. This has yet to cause any issues though. When I loaded the file into the editor again, all the colours were showing correctly there. I have removed all other graphics and any skins, so this is default FM22. I just spent 3 hours changing the colours to a different colour and then back to the colour they should be and after loading the file again, it is still showing this issue. I am adding a few images to show the issue and to also show that I have changed the team colours in the editor. I also can't work out why 2 of the teams in the 'K3 League' have colour, although I will note that those aren't the colours I actually assigned to them. This has only affected the 3rd and 4th tier. This hasn't touched The 1st and 2nd tier or anything from the 5th tier down.
