Did you read the post further up on the last page about the scale of the problem and that some of the hidden attributes are broken as well ?

It's not just a youth having low determination issue and if that guys pay is accurate it's certainly in the realms of a game breaking bug.

Yes and you can use the pre-game editor to fill in those attributes too. What am I missing?

I just wanted to point out that this is not just an issue with determination. Looking at the hidden stats using the FMSE editor, the same thing is happening with consistency and important matches attributes too.

On my new save, I have approx 35k players. Of these:

    • 9.5k have a determination of 1 (9.1k 20 years of age or younger). A further 6k of players have determination of 2-3.
    • 17.3k have important matches of 1 (9.6k 20 years of age or younger).
    • 14.9k have consistency of 1 (9.6k 20 years of age or younger).
    • 7.7k have attribute of 1 in all three categories (5.5k 20 years of age or younger).

I doubt even the most superb nurturing of young players will have any material effect on this. And, as has already been stated, it affects older players too.

Unfortunately, for me, this is game ruining at the moment and I am sadly going back to FM 19 until it is fixed. Hey ho, these things happen and I am sure SI will get this sorted asap. Shame, because the rest of the game looks to be a significant improvement.

I believe consistency and important matches are supposed to start low and grow with experience, you would really need to sim a youth intake before reading anything into that.

  3. It would actually be easier if it did affect newgens, because you could just look at it as a feature that determination had to be worked on for the majority of youth players, as is it just means most of a 5-6 year swathe of players are going to be disadvantaged through the course of their careers.

  4. The appearances are counted from when the league is won, rather than at the end, so sometimes if the league is won early players with enough appearances don't get listed as having won it.

However, if players having 30+ appearances are affected it would seem to be something else going on, worth a post in the relevant competition bug thread.

You're contradicting yourself here. Everyone is titled to their opinion full stop. If it happens to be negative without being constructive, well, unfortunately, you'll just have to deal with it, as it's not your concern, and again, they're allowed their opinion.
You can't say that they're allowed to be opinionated, then tell them how they should be opinionated.

I don't think you quite understand how this forum works. There is a link on the GD main page to the forum rules and guidelines, go educate yourself.

I think it's because people get emotional and therfore voice their criticism emotionally, this does not mean its spam or should be a bannabel offense.

Fm is an emotonal game,  you work hard on what are essentially spreadsheets in order to be rewarded when you finally get your team to play like you want, at least it is for me.

It's a game, if it winds you up to the point you are incapable of posting in an adult manner on a forum, you really need to find another hobby.

  7. I find strange situations like Leicester winning the PL in '16 happen more regularly in view only. There aren't as many things tracked, it doesn't show top goalscorers for example. Transfer activity won't be like on full detail, but teams do seem to keep squad size the same as they start with. Newgens seem to come through at around the same rate as if the league wasn't selected at all.

Callum McGregor`s stats need just a little tweaking to better reflect the player he is.

His balance and stamina should be at least 13 if not 14, he has a very quick turn of feet so his agility could be a 12 or 13 and his off the ball movement is phenomenal.

He is always in a position to receive a pass from a team mate to then lay off another player and/or look for the one two. So his positioning could also potentially benefit from a 1 or 2 point shift

His form for the last 3 season shows this consistently, and he just needs a small tweak to better reflect his ability in game.

Also to touch on another Celtic player who needs just a single stat to be improved to more accurately reflect his ability.

Ryan Christies work rate is exceptional, he deserves more than a 12 by some distance - Perhaps 15 would accurately reflect the work he does for the team when he doesn't have the ball.

Best posting such things in there.

Just as an FYI, Positioning is a defensive skill, Off the Ball is what you are looking for with the McGregor example.

  9. Started unemployed and applied for the team closest to me geographically, Distillery. On offering me an interview, they stated the reservations they had about appointing me, which was a nice touch. Absolutely loved the five year plan which was proposed to me in the interview, a realistic, achievable plan for the club. I just hope the board isn't overly harsh going forward if I end up a year or two behind.

I'm getting ahead of myself, haven't been offered the job yet!
