I found a point in my save where passing 1 day makes the player go from becoming homegrown at club to only homegrown at country if that would help ?

We have managed to reproduce the issue with the save you provided and have it logged in our system so we don't need any additional saves at the moment.  Thanks though, we're looking into it!

    Hi, thanks for the response.

The reason I call it a bug is because the game has become frozen in the sense that I can't continue the progress (unless I'm missing something). I understand all it's doing is following the rules set out in the registration but there must be something that's not quite right - I'm guessing to do with the players who left in the days/weeks before I joined in January. I knew about the restrictions and even tried to compensate by signing two HGN players, figuring there may just be spaces I have to keep empty.

Anyway I've uploaded the file, it's Luke Young - YB.

Hi there, we have looked into your save, thanks for that.  I'm in agreement that there should not be a situation like this where you cannot progress, so you are right this is a bug.  For the next version of the game, we will make sure this situation cannot occur.  For your particular save, the only way we can find for you to continue is to "holiday" for one day, whereby the AI forces through a registration submission of 22 players, despite the homegrown rule being broken.  I realise this isn't ideal but it will allow you to continue your save if you wish.  Thanks!

Hi, so is the registration bug completely unavoidable, with no workaround? I wasn't aware of it at all and having moved to Young Boys in January after two and half seasons with Zurich, can now not carry on past the registration deadline because there is literally no composition of players that satisfy the registration rules.

    Is this really acceptable?

Hi there, it isn't a "bug" as such, because I believe what we have implemented in game was correct at the start of the season and also when FM22 was initially released.  Unfortunately, the changes which have since been approved by the Swiss FA in real life would have been a huge amount of work post-release to fully change in game as it required completely new functionality, so we were not able to make changes for an update and are looking into this situation for the next version of the game.

The registration rules are clearly stated on the registration screen and the league rules page, it is always advisable to check these out when managing in a nation or competition you aren't fully familiar with.  If you upload your save to our owncloud, we can take a look and see if there's a way around the situation you find yourself in.  Thanks!

    Yes, it was described here.
It should be "MAXIMUM of 30 Under-22 players", not minimum

Hello, we believe that "Minimum" is the correct way of representing this.  It is the information which was supplied to us by our head researcher and we have had this confirmed to be correct.  We also made code changes in the previous update we released which mean we should not be experiencing major issues with registration among AI teams.  Bearing in mind that we believe the rule and what we have set in game to be correct, can you please send us a newly or recently created save game with a specific example of there being a problem with AI registration in game?  Thanks.

Minimum/maximum error is still in the game after Winter Update. Will it be fixed?

Hello, could you specify exactly what you believe the problem is?  We believe the issue of AI teams not registering players has been adequately fixed already in a previous update and that the rule is correct as per the guidance we received from our head researcher.  Thanks.

What do you need from us to fix the argentinian league? The patch can't come without this fix

Hi, we don't need anything further from the public, thank you.  I'll just reiterate what Kyle said that these are extremely complicated changes and we are doing our best to get them implemented as soon as possible.

Uploaded, is not a custom db. name: Dortmund - Road to Glory (v02).fm

Hi there, I have taken a look at the save and it says on the "game status" page that there have been 181716 db changes!  This issue is not reproducing internally from a regular DB and has not been reported by any other users, so it is highly likely to be related to these custom changes.  As such there isn't really much we can do I'm afraid.

  8. Hi there - we did previously put in a fix for this that should mean the issue you bring up should never occur in theory.  We have had no further reports of it since (until now) and this does not look like a situation where the issue should be occurring as the FA Cup final should be scheduled for a Saturday in May and the corresponding league fixtures for both finalists moved to a midweek date.  Do you have a save you could provide before the FA Cup semi final takes place?  Thanks.

Hi there - I think this is a bug, but is just a display issue.  The foreign player limit in the RPL is 8 and remains at 8 for all seasons.  I think what is happening here is you are looking at the rules for next season, for a team that has been promoted from the RFD, before the promotion has actually taken place in game (i.e. before the game has moved from the 2021/22 season to the 2022/23 season)?  The foreign player limit for the RFD is 4 for all seasons.  So what you are seeing is actually the RFD rules.  Once it gets to the 2022/23 season in game (after the season update day which should be some time in late June), then the registration rules will update to correctly showing 8 foreign players for all teams in the RPL.

  10. Hello - this issue was raised with our head researcher as soon as this was raised on here.  He confirmed that the rules were indeed wrong and we have this issue under review.  Due to internal deadlines it was impossible to include any fix in the update that recently went out.  Regarding the AI registration issue, we do not believe there are major issues to do with AI registration selection any longer due to an earlier fix which has been included in a public update.  If you are still experiencing major AI registration issues from a new game, it would be very helpful if you could explain what these were and provide us a save.  Thanks!

This looks more like a bug to me. I've checked and Kriens has German as the only language spoken set in the DB.

OK thanks.  If you're sure that this was set correctly in the DB before the database was locked, then this would be an issue for the gameplay team to look into.  If the original poster could please post about the issue here:

    https://community.sigames.com/bugtracker/football-manager-2022-bugs-forum/570_all-other-gameplay/

  12. Thanks.  Our head researcher did not specify how many games would be played when the league went down to 12, so the existing rule of "teams play each other twice" carried over.  I have now logged this to be corrected to "teams play each other three times" from the 2022/23 season onwards.

The U17 issue will have to be a feature request.  At the moment we must stick to the official rule that U17 players are not allowed to play.
