Morning.
What is it that makes you say that, for eg what makes the updated version less realistic?
I don't disagree with this, I'm actually interested..
I believe it's because it's 'closer' to reality when you start the game. Because it doesn't have winter transfers.

To raczej błąd w bazie danych niż błąd dodatku, warto zgłosić tutaj https://community.sigames.com/bugtracker/football-manager-2023-bugs-tracker/database-and-research/poland-data-issues/

Any clue how i could add foreigner limits to this file ?
im using basic editor but i can't find any option to apply these limits...In new leagues, it's in fixture rules. In default leagues, you must convert to advanced rules to change or add something.

Ok, for those waiting for the version after the winter update - since there will probably be one more patch coming out for the database next week (like in last year), I will update the file after that final patch. It makes no sense to create an add-on for one week and then another.

I've always wondered why some people who are in game in previous versions (especially those with high standings in the game) are removed from the database and others are not? (I have FM22 for examples below)
Perfect example from a Premier League/England POV would be the likes of Arsene Wenger, Harry Redknapp and Glenn Hoddle who are no longer in the databases in the past few versions despite having active roles in the past 5-10 years. When compared to some people who have never held any Non playing roles in real life since retiring yet are in database and available in the game like Taribo West and Brian McBride, or staff like Ilie Dumitrescu who hasn't held a management position since 2010
Non-active players are not extracted to the main database, and the same thing is/should be with non-players. If you find staff that is not active since x years (remember that coaches are not changing clubs as swift as players), please report this in database and research bug tracker posted above.

is it possible to make clubs to get professional status in certain division??
I think I've seen similar option in advanced rules (not sure if this year's or earlier). And I believe that if a clubs in this certain level are pro or semi-pro, the board will automatically try to change status to pro/semi-pro.

I'm not sure there's a option in editor but I believe if you set chairmen loyalty attribute to some low value, he will try to sell the club. But I'm not 100% sure so I could be wrong.

Just bought FM23 and downloaded some database files to fix things like incorrect names. I have them all ticked (see image below) but only some changes have worked.
As you can see, two Brazilian team names have changed but not the rest:
Any help very much appreciated!!!
Thanks.
For reference, I have saved the downloaded files in to this location.
Licensing 'bypass' can't be discussed on forums I'm sorry. You can ask on the forum you've downloaded this files from and I'm sure they will reply.

It's probably reputation thing.

As others have mentioned, its drop in but definitely make sure you have updated your BIOS. Easier to do on the current CPU unless you have BIOS FlashBack function on the board. The newest BIOS MSI have available for your board will be sure to support the 5900X.
Upgrading your board would offer some advantages. Better VRMs, PCIe improvements, more NVMe slots, probably more USB connections. You would be making full use of the graphics card you have because the board only has PCIe generation 3 and a 6700XT uses PCIe generation 4. Is that worth the cost and effort of a B550 board and the swap? No absolute answer on that, but like Bigpole says, the CPU alone will offer significant performance gains.
One other factor to consider... the 5900X is a 142 watt CPU, which will run hotter than what you have. Make sure you have decent CPU cooling.
Yes, standard cooler is enough for 'normal' gaming and standard use of the computer. Any CPU-heavy games and programs will require better cooling (anything from arctic freezer 34 esports and above is good).

Hello, I recently bought FM23 and I am about a year into my first save and when I went to look at academy teams none of the squads had any players in them or they would be greyed out and you could not sign them. I looked and saw that a majority of the un-playable teams were like this. I remeber from fm22 there was some of the greying out but a lot of the teams at least had some young prospects. Is there a way I can fix this or do I need to wait longer for the teams to become active? Thanks for any help.
It depends how many players are in the game, and if these academies have players at all in 'default' database. If you're looking at 1st/2nd tier teams and their u18 teams and they are empty - it suggest that you've not loaded enough players when creating a database. And no, probably they won't appear suddenly due to game maintaining a similar number of players from the start of the game.

Is there actually any benefit to adding players based in nation and player of nationality ? How do you ensure you get loads of regens, even from obscure places. You hear of people loading every player and not loading leagues to do a wonder kid save. How do you make sure you don't miss out on that wonder kid half way during a save ?
How would it be best to set up a save if you're staying at one club and building it up.
I want to start from the championship and build it into a European power force.
Im on a decent 5/6 year old Mac Book Pro.
I would like the game to run at a decent speed but also have a sustainable champions league and also that the south American clubs don't get left behind on the wold stage.
Thanks.
The easiest solution is to load as much players (and leagues) as possible to have balanced game and a good number of players to scout/choose from.
If you plan to stay in one club, the good thing is to load all players from nationality and based players from nation you will be managing in. The rest is optional.
Loading players from good football nations is always a good advice, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia are known for producing quality players at a cheap cost.

As I don't like explaining step by step how to change data location - I always say to create separate folder for fm files and in fm lanuch options add
--user_data_location="E:\Football Manager 2020"
Of course this is my location but you change it to whatever you've created (and of course create editor data and other folders inside) and all files from workshop should/will automatically save over there.
The game likes to create new folder in my documents and suddenly graphics, skins and editor data can disappear.

Concentration
How well the player can focus mentally and pay attention to detail on an event-by-event basis. A high rating here means that the player is more consistent on a move-by-move basis during a match. They also react better under pressure, position themselves correctly in all phases of play, and make better judgment calls in tight situations, while players with lower concentration struggle more in these areas.
The manual explains it like this, but I'm curious about the definition of event-by-event and move-by-move here.
and Is that a different definition than simply how consistent you are over 90 minutes? It's the basic definition, if your concentration attribute is low, it means you can't concentrate throughout the match and you can make stupid mistakes more easily, especially under pressure. If you have high concentration, you are 'calm' all match and make right decisions, you won't be surprised by some random event's in the match.

CPU Model: AMD RYZEN 7 2700X EIGHT-CORE PROCESSOR

I'm thinking to replace the CPU with AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 3.7GHz.
I've replaced 1600AF to 5900x, huge gains. My mobo is b450 a-pro max and crucial ram and all I needed to do was to update bios.

I just did a test where I loaned 11 "foreign" players from other Greek sides with Olympiacos (easier for the loans to get accepted) and the game didn't stop me at any point.
Are we certain it just means "foreign" in general?I understand this rule as maximum of 7 players on loan from clubs outside Greece. So 10 brazilians from olympiacos is okay. 10 germans from bayern is not okay.
But maybe I'm wrong.

I can't read dump files in editor. And probably if there's a crash in editor, it's because there's a too much divisions in lower leagues. I would need to check this file to maybe answer this better.

hello. I'm working on polish lower leagues and I met a crash when trying to test my leagues. Could you take a look?
I built down to the 6th level. This level contains 60 sub-leagues. 7th level contains over 120 sub-leagues. Is that possible to build such a hierarchy?
I noticed that in the field "Number of child competitions (if parent comp)" the maximum number is 50. So that's why, there's some error? Cause my competition contains 60 child competitions?

I will check this file after work, it's always a problem going down in pyramid due to absurd number of divisions in 6/7/8 level.

There's so many files here (like the weather + city fix) that can just be made null if SI decided to take a look at these files and apply these changes to the official database.
Filling all the missing/incorrect data is the job of the research team (in this case, specific Head Researchers for countries with missing data). And I agree with you, but it's their 'job' to to this. It's not a dig at researchers but, I believe that it could be fixed by just copying and pasting into default database.
We can post this in database issues forum but it would be faster for them to just look at the files and do this manually.
Nevertheless, superb work, thanks for the files.

Any France lower league database out yet?
I've seen few on steam workshop but can't tell how reliable they are. I've read that guys from manageronline.fr won't be doing 100% realistic db due to changes in pyramid next year. But there is a Germany down to 6th level at least.

How does the Cities Attraction number get decided?
in Editors Hideaway
Posted
It's a rating which tells how the city is attractive to live in in national scale (I believe it's national not worldwide). If you are not sure how to rate them, you can always compare the newly created city to an existing one (like cities with similar population).
