Isn't there an old myth that if the crows or ravens or whatever leave the tower then tower bridge will collapse?
I have a vague memory of being frightened by something along those lines when I was a child.
The legend we learned in school was that when the ravens die or fly away, the Crown will fall.

He's a very likeable guy, and I respect him as a person.

It is one of the easiest alcoholic drinks to chug down tbf
Don't like the taste of it, especially Strongbow, Sommersby or any other large scale production cider. It's mostly consumed by women here tbf.

20 cans of Strongbow. How can anyone drink that much of that ****?

30+ penalties is what Milan and Lazio have in a season.

The utter idiocy of nob heads broadcasting committing a crime never ceases to amaze me
There is one incident of this, which happened to someone I know, but unrelated to football, that always amuses me.
People complained last winter about authorities not doing a proper job of cleaning the roads of snow, so this dumbass I knew filmed himself doing 110 kph in a 50 kph limit zone, whilst it was snowing, with the caption "look, morons, it's perfectly driveable" and posted it on a Facebook group of +100k people. Needless to say someone tagged the police, and he got his driver's license suspended for 3 months and paid a £300 fine.
I've always agreed with people who say "before social media, only your family and your close friends knew you were stupid".

Had a coach in our youth team when I was 10 or 11 and every time in training, he used to say to us to always shoot with power in penalties. I took that advice with me, and even if I'm playing 5-a-side, 7-a-side or full 11-a-side (happens fairly rarely, like once or twice a year) , when I get to take a penalty, I always shoot with power. I've had very few saved by the goalkeeper, and mostly by professional football, futsal or field hockey goalies anyway, but I've scored more against themselves than what they've saved. I've had two or three Ramos moments from wanting to blast it under the crossbar, but my conversion rate is pretty good.

Surprised no one posted this yet.

Casually dropping Jesus Navas in
Was a decent player coming off the bench for Spain tbf. After all, he is a World Cup and European Championship winner.

There is one thing I don't understand, I've seen a few videos of the incidents and saw English fans fighting and punching each other, after they had already gone past the gate/turnstyle. What the hell was all that about?

Are we not counting the Spain team that literally played without any strikers?
When you have Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas, David Silva, Mata, Cazorla and Jesus Navas in the squad, you don't need strikers.

What about centrebacks?
Alot can change in 1 year for 34 36 yr olds
I feel Bonucci has another tournament left in him, and there are still Bastoni, Mancini, even Romagnoli, plus someone under21 like Lovatto, or Zappa could have a breakthrough season and make the team. I think they'll be fine, Bastoni is one of the best young defenders in Europe atm, and he'll only improve.

Donnaruma - Walker, Bonucci, Chiellini, Shaw - Jorginho, Xhaka, Pogba - Chiesa, Schick, Sterling.
Subs: Schmeichel, Spinazzola, Maehle, Maguire, Pedri, Dani Olmo, Benzema

If Jorginho missed against Spain, we would call his penalty style daft. Rashford did almost everything right but overcooked it. Sancho had a poor penalty regardless of run up.
But that's what Jorginho always does, that's his penalty taking style since he was at Verona IIRC.

32 teams and Serbia still won't qualify...
Don't worry, you can always count on your neighbours to be equally bad.
We've nearly made a complete mess out of a group with Hungary, Finland, Northern Ireland, Greece and Feroe Islands back in the qualifiers for Euro 2016.

32 teams, and somehow we wouldn't make it. Us and Bulgaria, like some good neighbours we are.

Yeah, back in Brazil.
Looking at those stats, what the hell are Inter defenders doing with that many penalties faced?
Defence when he joined was Ranocchia, Juan Jesus and Matias Silvestre. Then Campagnaro and Rolando. Basically all were penalties waiting to happen.
Oh, and the legends Jonathan, Alvaro Pereira and Dodo as wing backs.

Delighted for Barella and Bastoni, happy for Chiellini, and last, but not least, for Mancini. When he got the job, I said he was the wrong appointment and that they won't progress with him in charge. I've never been proven so wrong in my life.
Well done Italy, they deserved it.

How did Piatek manage to squeeze himself into a picture with all those greats?
That collage was probably made towards the end of his two-month purple patch.

I said I wouldn't watch it, "bla-bla Qatar" , "bla-bla November" , "we haven't qualified", but I've missed like 3 games, and that was because I was working. I just couldn't ignore it.
