    He deserved a better send of for England. He conceeded from a corner against Macedonia in 04 qualifying and never played again. Was sad. He always came across a proper nice bloke too. Find an interview with him where he doesn't laugh and chuckle. Seaman does a podcast and that Football Cliches podcast counted it up and worked out he laughed/chuckled on average like every 22 seconds or something on his show

    Think Seaman was like 38 at that WC and way past his peak. Personally I quite liked David James and think he should have started more. He had mistakes in him though (France 04 wasn't great) But he had that big personality you need from a keeper in international tournments. Hindsight is lovely but Capello really should have gone with him over Green 2010

    Yeah and I'm no expert but that looks like a decent squad for Serbia. I feel like they are usually tipped as some kind of dark horse but just bottle it in group stage

    My earliest memory is 94. And weirdly Dunga scoring his penalty in the shootout is always first thing that comes to my head. I mean my personal favourite memory is Colombia shoot out. It's hard to top that moment Dier's penalty trickled over the line Non England. Grosso vs Germany was pretty wild. 2006 probably my favourite WC overall

    Because when it comes to Tammy vs Wilson it's purely down to form. Neither set world alight for England in games they have played, and they are probably not gonna play anyway. So go with most inform. But certain situations you have to weigh up form vs other things. That's what he's done with Maguire and Philips. Maguire is the big call and Southgate's job will probably depend on whether he performs. Ala Sterling last Euros

    Like I said in 2nd post in this thread. This 26 man squad means you can take everyone. No way Phillips gets in if 23 man squad but with 26 then obviously if he is semi fit. It's all well and good saying so & so shouldn't be in squad but there is hardly anyone else. Not like we are leaving behind a bunch of world class game changing talent. At a push you could say Tomori could be in for someone. But really that's it
