I have said this before and I will say it again - they ALWAYS make the beta/pre release slightly easier, to get people hooked and make sure people keep playing. That said, FM is always going to be easier than the real world for millions of reasons. We all know the best players, best wonderkids, best tactics, we know how to put 90% of a transfer fee for a player we cannot afford on 10 years payments, we dont have to deal with all the behind the scenes stuff that us normal fans never get to see. Other things to think about : - People complaining that gegenpressing is overpowered, well yes. In real life it is overpowered as well hence the 3 best teams in England play this way, SI has to put that into the game or its not realistic. Then 99% of players realise thats the best way to get best results and wham it seems easier than it does. - if you are very tenured player like 99% of us on these forums, we know how to turn a championship side into a top 4 team in England within 4 seasons, we just know what to do from years and years of playing. Again these forums equal less than 1% of the player base, most wont know how to get the best training, best tactics etc - The statistics for save scumming is absolutely mental as well.... I remember when they told us the stats, it was like 98% of people in the current saves had restarted after a loss. I am no angel on that front ive done it many times but try not to. - Most people start with teams that are easy , lets be honest here. I see people going "Its too easy" and say they started with Arsenal and won the quadruple in their 3rd season - like come on.

Best way to play the game, you get unique stories, play with different players, random clubs you never thought you'd manage FM23 my long term save was this unemployed - my job list is 2022 - 2025 Bonnyrigg Rose level 4 scotland, got 2 promotions/2 league titles to the Scottish Championship in 3 seasons 2025-2030 Williem II in Holland 2nd division - got promoted to top league in my 2nd season winning 2nd div title, got 3rd, 2nd and 2nd and 1 conference league title - bottled the title on the 2nd to last week of the final season and resigned (Feyenoord won it) 2030-2033 Middlesbrough in premier league - got relegated first season (I took over when they were bottom) , promoted next season but left for next team the following season 2033-2040 Porto - Won the league 5 out of 7 seasons, won Europa league twice, got to champions league final twice, mulitple portugal domestic cups, and in last season only lost one game all season in the league, got to the champions league final and lost to Bayern Munich which made me resign. 2040-2055 Real Madrid - Created the best footballing side in history genuinely the best team id ever made on any FM save, my entire XI was top 11 players in the world esque. Spent stupid money, won everything multiple times 2055 but left the save here , River Plate in Argentina - I wanted to win the copa libertadores which ive never ever done on any fm Save, but I think after Real Madrid the save got boring for me and FM24 was around the corner , plus its more difficult than I thought with an Argentina side as Brazilian sides are so strong. This save was probably my favourite. One of my strikers for Bonnyrigg rose became a top manager in Europe which was amazing

My unemployed journey starts tonight, onto a long term save - aged 20 manager, retiring in 65 years in game, lets see what I can achieve

I wouldn't bother with these people. There are a generation of older people who don't understand how big youtube is, the numbers it pulls in. When I told my grandparents how many views people like Mr.Beast get they spat their drink out. There are entire live TV shows that dont get as many views as a FM youtuber on a per episode basis

I dont work 40-50 hours, but with commuting I do for my career, I have 20 month old son, and a wife, I go out most weekends and I have 1000+ hours. Its not the lifestyle you live, you are just weak of will, weak of character to play the game....
