They are set to tight marking, tackling hard, have good defensive stats and yet they run by player and when someone is running parallel to the goal no one can dispossess them. My players come close to them run by them and yet they cannot or wont tackle. I do not know where I might be wrong. Also It seems to me that easy passes in FM 09 are not so easy to pass. My assistant always says that we are misplacing a lot of easy passes but it is probably the problem with my tactics. I would have much more success if my players would be tackling like they should and like it was in previous FMs. P.S. madmike Posted March 8, 2009 Share Posted March 8, 2009 What setting is your closing down, if it is low they will stand off the opposition player. As for the passing are you playing high tempo? I mean when you watch the match i full mode you will see that the me is still far away from real football. IMHO 7.02 was a lot better and my question is why they did not just upgraded 7.02 than every year making a new ME. Defenders positioning is still flawed.
