Cadijk van Kaarhandel Posted December 6, 2008 Share Posted December 6, 2008 Help for a would-be Kit Creator/Photoshop Amateur? I've downloaded a Kit Template pack, unzipped it, and I'm opening the kit in Photoshop Elements. I'm getting the Layers down the side, they seem to be in folders. I'm sure that i should be able to open these folders and then chose content within but i can't find how. Can you help? Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
michaeltmurrayuk Posted December 7, 2008 Share Posted December 7, 2008 You should just be able to double click on the folder in the layers panel to get access to the layers. Does Photoshop Elements have full access to the layers in psd files? If not you may be best off downloading the 30 day trial of photoshop and converting the template into a psd format liked by Elements. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Cadijk van Kaarhandel Posted December 7, 2008 Author Share Posted December 7, 2008 Oh, thanks, does the trick Well it seems that it just removes the folders so when you've opened in Elements it gives you all the individual images down the side. I'll try to suss out GIMP if theres something to be done that will retain each folder, makes it helluva easier to navigate. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
radestock Posted December 7, 2008 Share Posted December 7, 2008 I don't think elements supports layer groups full stop. With a little further looking there is an add on called 'elements plus' that let's you navigate layer groups in elements but I believe it's a paid for thing.
