Unable to set U21 and U18 Teams to play with same tactic as Senior Team.

I know this was possible in the past, but for some reason I'm unable to get my U21's and U18's playing with the same Tactic as the Senior Team.

For the record, I'm using an edited database, (Scotland), which links the Amateur and Professional structures and offers a route from the bottom, (Tier 13), to the Scottish Premiership. The reason I mention this is because I'm wondering if my issues might be linked with the edited database, or simply the low level that the club started at. 

My Senior Team play a 523 Tactic in every game no matter what.

The U21's were playing 442 before I sacked whoever was in charge and took control myself. 

The U18's were playing with a 433 tactic before I got rid of the manager and took charge myself, but then you will see when I delegated responsibility for 1 match in November it went to a 4231 before I took charge again and reverted to a 523 again. 

I seem to remember that there was an option to "Make Team play with Senior Tactic", (or something like that), but for the life of me I can't find it and I'm now convinced that it's not here. I don't know if it just doesn't exist in my game or whether this is a big or a a problem with the edited database, or the low level (Tier 13), that the club came from. 

This is the 1st Team Tactic and there doesn't seem anyway on this page to make the junior teams play using this tactic. 

If I click on the U21's then it shows the same tactic, but as soon as I delegate responsibility of the U21's to another staff member they play a different tactic.

When I click on the sub menu's across the top, this is what I see. 

There's nothing there that I can use, but in the back of my mind I always thought that the instruction to do with was part of the Staff-Responsibilities page. I promise you I've looked and looked and looked, but there is just nothing there. 

The only options I can see in the Tactics section are as follows. I thought there was a tickable box below here that said something like, "use 1st Team Tactic". 

It could be that it's under a different section, but I still can't find it. (This is the section I really thought it was in). 

I should add that I'm using an edited skin, so it's possible that the issue is skin related. 

The other thing that makes me think it's a big, (or skin related), is because I'm also having a problem with not receiving Training emails for either the U21's or U18's, despite them clearly being ticked, and I wonder if this relates to us starting at such a low level that we didn't have U18 or U21 Teams to start with, and also because this is a long-term save that I have continued on from the Beta or Early Access or whatever we're calling it now. 

I have a workaround for the Training emails, (I just check the training page for the Individual squads when I receive the 1st Team training email), but I can't find a workaround for the preferred tactic option. 

Does anyone have a solution?

In my save my reserves and youth team both play the same tactic as I have set up.

If you are NOT in charge of anything with the team, you can head into the Dev Centre, select the team, and set what tactic to use there:

If you are in control of something you'll see this:

As I usually control my youth teams training, this is what I see, but when I head to their tactic screen, they still seem to use my tactic.

So, and this is my speculation, if this doesn't happen for you. Remove yourself of all control of the reserves, head in there and select the tactic you want, then add back the control and see if that works. No idea, but my best guess.

When I look at Development Centre - U21's this is what I see. 

When I look at Development Centre - U18's this is what I see. 

The reason I see that is because on top of selecting the team, (because I haven't worked out how to do this yet), I'm also in control of individual training for both U21's and U18's. 

I'm going to try and delegate everything and see what happens. 

Ok, I delegated everything related to U21's and U18's, (even the signing and selling of players), and it seems to have worked. 

I can't begin to tell you how long I have spent trying to work this out. 

The question now is what I can take control of without the Primary Tactic changing.

That's what I am unsure of, but I don't have any other suggestions....

Personally, I'm only in charge of individual training, and that works fine.

I forgot to say thanks by the way, so Thank You. 

I think I would prefer them to use my tactic and not be able to control anything, but I will experiment and see what I can sort out in terms of delegating bits and pieces.

All my junior teams automatically use the same tactic as the first team and when I change anything it updates for junior teams as well. I don’t recall ever having to set this. I do individual training only for junior teams. This has been the case in multiple clubs with different staff.

Have you tried with the default skin to see if your bespoke one is causing your problem? I can’t think why it would, but I also don’t have any other explanation.
