Nine local managers started in league 2 with no badges and no playing experience, a few custom rules and too much time on their hands! Due to the nature of online play we made a few rules to try to keep certain meta elements in check and the competition a realsitic sim: Set pieces must be delegated. The low cross setting is banned. Focus out wide is banned. These have actually worked extremely well in curtailing extremely OP tactics and the first season was an enjoyable one to compete in. The inaugural season saw Raiden's 3-4-2-1 wielding Stockport take out the championship with 101 points, and Salford's pip Tranmere for the final automatic promotion place in the last week of the season. Tranmere's injury crisis couldn't be overcome and they will spend another year in League Two after a heartbreaking loss to Crawley in the Play-Off semi finals. Stockport's title winning 3-4-2-1 lead from start to finish. Heartbreak for Danelkoo's Tranmere, joy for Salford! Stockport's Nick Powell took out player of the season: Manager's took on different strategies and Salford's veteran free signing Shane Long bagged 21 league goals on the way to helping Salford to promotion! We now head into off-season with manager's looking at what they can do on a shoestring to strengthen their sides for their League One & Two 2025 seasons. Salford are already busy in June with 37 year old former England Keeper Joe Hart signing on as a player/coach! We play on Monday and Friday nights 7.30 - 10pm (AEDT, Melb/Sydney time) and try to sneak in another weekly session if we can. Feel free to message if you're in the region and available at those times and keen to join in. We have a 10th manager joining us for season 2!
