Fifteen players called up, that is a new record. And that is also the reason that we lost 0-2 to Locarno. Fifteen of the best players out of a game is not good news But it was still a good month, with four out of five wins.

The first game of the month was horrible, and we suffered a record defeat. The main reason was that we missed 15 players due to them being away at international games...

BUT, that does not excuse the two defeats to Linth 04 and Gossau SG.

We have no strikers that score goals this season... We are a bit to close to the relegation zone to be honest.

I like the look of Steffen Andreev (YP05a), and hopefully he can be the savior we need! Jan Achter (YP05f) also looks like a decent talent.

Steffen Andreev (YP05a) made an immediate impact, and we actually won two games! We're still going to finish way behind our point total from last season though.

This season was a big disappointment. I really thought we would be closer to the top this season, but we really struggled in front of goal. With a new striker, and getting Joshua Banzer (YP03e) back from injury should be a big boost going in to the next season.

 

Liechtensteiner Cup

We're getting closer and closer. Vaduz has been a second tier team for a few years now, and they keep getting closer and closer to relegation. So maybe we will beat them soon!

Well, this is a little bit better than last season! What a difference a striker that actually scores goals does for us

Another unbeaten month! To my surprise we actually managed to get four points in the two last games this month, as we had a record 17 players away on international duty.

Another good month, even tough we lost our first game of the season. Top three is the goal, and at the moment we're clear ahead of the rest of the pack.

Another defeat in the first game of the month, but after that we did not look back, and scored 13 goals in three games! As we go in to the winter break, Steffen Andreev (YP05a) has 15 goals in 15 games. That is 12 more than our starting striker had in total last season

Well. That is disappointing. Liam Dann (YP06a) should be a decent backup at left-back, but other than that, I do not have high hopes for most of these players.

The league title is secured! But it does not matter if we don't win the promotion play-offs.

What. A. Season!

Champions and a promotion! I really thought we had screwed it up in the first play-off game against Eschen/Mauren, but Steffen Andreev (YP05a) ruined their dreams in the second game with three goals.

In the first game against Gossau SG, they got a man sent of in the 2nd minute, and we should have scored more goals in that game. But it did not matter, as we held them to a draw in the second game, and thus won promotion!

 

Liechtensteiner Cup

But not only did we win the league and got promoted, we won the Liechtensteiner Cup for the first time under my leadership. That means we will playing in the Conference League next season. Our first adventure outside of Switzerland, how exctiting!

 

The two last finals against Vaduz was pretty close, in terms of XG, but this time around we really FM'd them!

This will be quite a different season, as nine teams in this league can't go up. But I am still quite surprised how good the odds are.

Good start in the new league. We're around mid-table, and if we can keep this up I will be happy.

 

UEFA Europa Conference League

We faced FCI Levadia Tallinn from Estonia as we get our first taste of continental football.

We did not have any problems with them!

A pretty good start to our European adventure

 

But next up we faced AIK from Sweden, and they proved to be a much tougher opponent.

I have no idea how we did not concede more than three goals in that first game  We actually managed a draw in the second game, but we still lost on aggregate. We did much better than I expected though!

Even though we won three out of the four games this month, we still lost our second place.

As the U21 teams can't win promotion SR Delémont will be our main rival going in to the two last months of the season.

Another unbeaten month, and we're now four points ahead of SR Delémont. But we face them in the coming, and last, month of the season. If we win that one, we should get promoted!

We lost out on the league title in the last game of the season, and that is slightly annoying. But still, what a season this has been, we have performed better than expected all year. A promotion was not in my wildest fantasies when we started the season, but here we are, a second tier team! Next season we will be facing Professional teams, and we're probably in for a tough time. Vaduz actually got relegated from the Swiss Challenge League, so in a way we trade places with them. And on paper we're actually the best team in Liechtenstein!

 

Liechtensteiner Cup

I had really hoped we could win the Cup yet again, but Vaduz absolutely FM'd us in this game. Absolutely gutted.

In the end Vaduz actually lost the final, and USV Eschen/Mauren won their first Cup since 2012.

The best talent at the moment is José Fortuna. At 16 years old he looks brilliant!

Liechtenstein started out as number 204 on the world ranking, but has climbed a bit.

Pre-Season 2030/2031

We barely had any time to play any friendlies, as the players came back from vacation 1. July. We won every game, and scored a lot of goals though!

 

Survival is the goal.

 

Squad

Every player that is rated at 3.5 star or higher is actually rated as a "Decent Challenge League Player" or better! A big surprise to me. That means that our best starting XI should do a good job in this league. But outside of the starting XI, we are struggling a bit.

We started our life in the Challenge League with a defeat to newly relegated Schaffhausen. They scored two goals in the first seven minutes, and I really thought we were in deep shhhhhit, but we actually should have scored more games in the end, and a draw would have been fair.

Then we actually won two games!

Noah Kaiser (YP08a) has the highest potential, at least if you listen to the HoYD, and he has good mental attributes, but I don't think he is that good as a striker. Michael Schulte (YP08d) on the other hand, could be decent backup striker for us.

In a surprising move, Antonio Trimboli (YP05e) has decided to try his luck with the Italian U19s! And this is after he has been capped three times by Liechtenstein.
