Gangor Posted August 14, 2023 Share Posted August 14, 2023 I was watching a recent Hashtag video about the new season squad and it was interesting to hear how managers will call each other up to talk about players, to provide references so to speak. It would be nice if this could be replicated in FM. This could also be a nice way to leverage and develop the relationship between managers. I'd see this as being an option on the context menu for a player who doesn't play for your club. You would have the option of say the last five managers the player had played for (perhaps including youth managers) with your current relationship with that manager in brackets. Depending on their hidden attributes, your relationship and perhaps the relationship between your clubs, they may agree to tell you about the player. This would increase your knowledge level for that player and perhaps provide a report similar to a scout report. A successful conversation would improve your relationship. You could also sometimes be asked your opinion on your former players by AI managers too. 4 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
AVFCfan01 Posted September 4, 2023 Share Posted September 4, 2023 Also, could add that former staff members who moved on to another club (in a transfer related capacity, like a Chief Scout, Director of Football, or First team manager) will have a tendency to go back to previous clubs for recommendations / players -- just like we've seen with Southampton signing several players from Man City's academy because of Jason Wilcox going there (and also Joe Shields, who moved on to chelsea) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
