First let's look at the players we're not signing. 

(43p) Ramadani. (Temp) is a centre-half and his (Det) is in double figures. but he has REALLY low PA and (Temp) is just a pain in the Ass.Man. 

(43m) Xhelili. (Bal) is a DL and we have plenty of them. Low Det plus Low PA is not a good mix. 

(43i) Freinberger. (KOS)(AUT) is a DR and while we're short of them, this bloke isn't the answer. 

(43n) Bacaj. (L.Det) has finishing of 16, but with such low PA and (L.Det) to boot he's never going to reach the levels we need for him to make an impact on the 1st Team even if his PA rating is wrong. 

(43e) Demiri. (Unamb) actually looks decent, but we have plenty of decent GK's and (L.Det) + (Unamb) is a mix from hell. 

And the players we will actually offer contracts to.

SuperLeague. We're playing pretty well at the moment and nobody is really getting anywhere near us. 

Kosovan Cup. The 2nd Team were comfortable here and progress us into the 2-legged Semi.

With £190M+ in the bank it seemed ridiculous to not improve the Training Facilities again and after appealing and remonstrating and then appealing again, I finally got Balkan El Presidente ton change his mind at the very last opportunity. 

The £2M cost is neither here nor there. It's a pittance.

Squad Performances. Jun 2043. 

Squad by Appearances.

(32g) Kadriu 6'1" made 31 appearances, but he still missed 3 games. I'm not positive, but I think his tally of 27 goals for the season is a new record. I regret not giving him pens & free-kicks earlier, (it was more lazyness than anything else), because he has now scored 115 goals in his last 270 games over 5 seasons, meaning that he has scored at a rate of a goal every 2.3 games over that period, (or 0.43 goals per game), and has averaged 23 goals a season.  Had he been on pens & free-kicks since the start, and scored at the same rate, he would be on approx 250 career goals by now. 

Squad by Goals. I'm pretty sure that I have never had a player score 68 goals in a season before. I know I've score 50+ before, but never 68. 

(33e) Shumeli has scored 395 career goals for us in 449 appearances, but of course 158 of those appearances have been from the bench, so he's actually scored 395 goals in 281(158) appearances, (which seems ridiculous!)  He's 26 years old and scoring at an average of 39.5 goals per season, so if I were to keep him at the club it'e interesting to imagine how many goals he might be capable of scoring. I keep thinking about doing the "Pele 1,000 goals challenge, (but of course it's not compatible with goal-scoring GK's), so I never seem to get around to doing it. Maybe in FM24..... 

What's better? Having a GK scoring 300+ career goals, or having a striker score 1,000 career goals? 

Squad by Assists. 

Considering that we sold some good strikers in the past 12 months, are attacking threat was decent as our young players stepped up well. 3 players hit 20+ assists, 3 more 15+ assists and another 3 with 10+ assists. (35a) Siano (ITA) * the obvious star in this area with 23 assists to go with his 32 goals. 

Squad by Avg Rating. Some good match ratings here, (especially (33e) Shumeli), but 3rd on the list is 20 year old (38a) Sinani *, (who plays on the left of a 3 up front), contributing 37 goal involvements in his 1st season as a regular starter.

GK. I don't plan on playing anyone other than (32g) Kadriu 6'1" who is on a 2+2 deal. Ideally I will keep him to the end of the save, (assuming he signs a new contract).

He's only 25 and still has 2 years on his contract, but we have such depth of PA in this area that it seems sensible to move him on and give those on the production line a chance. (31i) Dedja *, (who was 2nd choice last season), has already moved to the middle East.

DR. I'm just a little concerned about this area, (as I have been throughout much of the save). (35c) Koch (GER) * is on a 2+2 deal, but he's too good for us and ideally I would sell him and play a younger bright prospect. The problem is that his CA is better than the PA of any other DR at the club. Despite that, I'm still considering selling him in order to give playing time to the likes of (41b) Kraja *. Actually, thinking about it now, that's ridiculous. I just can't do that. 4 seasons might take us a good way towards FM24 and even 3 years and then a lump of cash would make more sense.

SuperLeague. The goal we conceded in the Trepça '89 was ridiculous. Our GK (32g) Kadriu 6'1" had gone on walkabout somewhere.

 

Champions League. I thought Charleroi might put up a challenge, but after 8-0 in the 1st leg it was all over so I have the 2nd Team their 1st run out of the season, and even struggling for match fitness they did enough to get a ddraw. 

Goal-scoring GK's. 3 goals, 2 assists but 1 pen missed too. 

 

Finances. We've got over £200M in the bank, and I'm thinking about buying 1 of our Youth Products from any SuperLeague club who has one, and paying them £10M to do so. That would be £90M, (assuming they all have a Youth Product).

SuperLeague. We're playing ok, but I'm still frustrated when we concede, (especially as it's usually one of our Academy products who scores against us). 

Champions League. The 2nd Team aren't cooking yet. Certainly not cooking enough to beat PSV & Atletico.

SuperLeague. 22 goals scored and 0 conceded as we win 5/5 games sounds great, but I don't actually think we're in great form. I think we're a little "leggy" in areas and I'm considering freshening things up a little with some U19 players. 

Champions League. This was a decent performance, but ultimately the 2nd team still came up short.

Summer Transfer WIndow. Nov 2043. 

I forgot to update you on this earlier on. 

(31i) Dedja * had been our 2nd Team WBL for ages and while his absence makes us weaker in the short-term, the idea that the increased playing opportunities available to our younger DL's will make us stronger in the long-term as they improve beyond the CA of (31i) Dedja *.

SuperLeague. I still don't think we're in great form in comparison to recent seasons. We seem to be doing well defensively, but we're not scoring as many goals as we should. 60 goals in 13 games is 4.6 goals per game.... so maybe we're consistently scoring a good number of goals rather than scoring loads 1 week followed by just 1 or 2 the following week. We've actually only scored fewer than 4 goals in a domestic game once this season, (when the 2nd Team beat Ballkani 2-0), so maybe things are fine and it's just my mind playing tricks on me. 

Champions League. The 2nd Team still plugging away. It's been a tough old season for them in Europe. I'm seriously thinking about "throwing" the 1st tie next season to get us into the Europa League, (and as we've already won the Europa League, maybe I could get us into the Europa Conference instead.... 

Kosovan Cup. 14-0 is an absolute battering. They are 3rd in First League Group A, (2nd Tier in Kosovo), and are a Semi-Pro club.

SuperLeagues. Once again, defensively we're looking good and have only conceded 2 goals in 18 games, and although it feels like we should be scoring more goals, we still scored at a rate of 4.4 goals per game this month, and our goals per game rate over the SuperLeague season so far is 4.5, so we're there or thereabouts, and when you consider that we missed 4 penalties this month, (all in the league), we should have been comfortably over the average for the season so far, (which is fine). 

Champions League. The 2nd Team are really competitive against big sides, but they just seem to keep falling slightly short. 

Kosovan Cup. 

Goal-scoring GK's. 3 goals scored this month, but 4 (FOUR) pens missed, (so it should have been 7 goals!!!).

I have done a thing..... Jan 2044. 

I've given £10M to each of the other 9 clubs in the SuperLeague by signing of 1 our own Academy products from them.  

Next season I will give £10M to whichever 2 sides gets promoted from the First League.

I have seen a few like that as I checked through the record Kosovan transfers earlier in the save. 

It's probably my fault for using both a small database and also loading Kosovo only. It doesn't make for a very balanced game.

Champions League. Because there were no other games in January, the 1st Team played in the Champions league games and it was enough to qualify us for the Playoffs, (with 1 previous win).  It shows the gulf in class between the 1st Team and 2nd Team.

Well the 1st Team just lost in the Playoffs so I'm not sure how much difference it makes. 

I have played the 1st Team in the past I think and the difference seemed to be finishing high up in the Playoff positions or low down in the Playoffs positions so not sure it makes much difference.

The transfers only went through in Jan. I will keep and eye on it and report it as and when. 

Ballkani have a new 5,887 all seater stadium. This happened before I gave them their money, (and they already had more money than everyone else). 

Drita had recently upgraded their Youth and Training Facilities.

Nobody has spent anything significant out of their £10M yet.

I tried it differently: In 2044 we have a 2nd CL ticket for the first time (FC Drita is the standing out number 2 of the league) and im constantly putting 20 mill in for them, buying back old players i released earlier. Gonna see if that's going to help Drita in getting to that group stage.

I'm not convinced it will make much difference in terms of giving them spending power to buy players, because we all know the biggest barrier to buying quality players is reputation. 

The £10M itself will have some impact on Rep, (simply because they will be better off financially), but in terms of transferring that to incoming players..... I don't really see it. Had that been a likely outcome then we would have seen that from Ballkani all the way through this save, (but we haven't).

This is how the Kosovan clubs got on in Europe this season, (prior to their £10M windfall). 

Ballkani. They would probably have been better off losing to Galatasaray in the Playoff, (what a pair of results that is by the way!) because they had a tough set of fixtures in the Europa League and the Charleroi loss sort of typifies where they are at the moment. Where as we smashed Charleroi 8-0 with our 1st Team this season, (and then drew 1-1 away with a slightly weakened 2nd Team), they lose 2-0 at home because their top end players aren't good enough, (and they don't use their squad sensibly enough). 

Drita. The problem with qualifying for the Europa Conference is that you don't get a 2nd chance. When you lose, you're just straight out. That being said, I think they should have done better against Aris Salonika of Greece. 

Prishtina. Both these games were as tight as they look, but for whatever reason, Kosovan sides always seem to lose these ight games. 

Summary of the whole save in Europe. 

Ballkani have qualified for Europe every single season in this save. They have done significantly the best of the other Kosovan clubs and have made the Europa Conference Group Stage x9, (losing in Playoffs x1 and getting to Knockout stages x1). More recently they have made the Europa League Group stage x1, (this season was the 1st time). 

Drita have only missed out on Europe 3 times in this save and have been ridiculously unlucky in Europe. In the 2026/27 season they won 6 different games and still didn't qualify for the Group stage. They have qualified for the Europa league Group Stage x1

Prishtina have played European football in 16 of the 22 seasons so far, (they missed the 1st 5 seasons), but have never got to the Group stage, but they have got close. If I had to hazard a guess, (I didn't check at the time), the reason they lost against CSKA Sofia here was because the SuperLeague season had started by then and they were trying to win all games. If that's my club we're playing a 2nd Team in the Superleague and our rested team are winning in Europe and qualifying for the Group stages. This is such a really basic strategy, but it's so powerful. 

Gjilani have only qualified for Europe 8 times in this save, (and never performed well). 

Llapi have only qualified for Europe 6 times in this save, (and never performed well). 

Dukagjini Klinë have only qualified for Europe 2 times in this save, (and never performed well). 

Feronikeli 74 have only qualified for Europe once in this save, (and never performed well). 

I don't think that anyone else has qualified for Europe,

Youth Intake day. Mar 2044. 

I'd much prefer to have a few good players than 1 very good player, (especially when the 1 very good player might not actually be that good). 

First of all let's look at the players we won't be signing. 

I actually quite like the look of this bloke, but I'm just not signing someone with 3 (Det). If he's any good then someone will pick him up and develop him and we can buy him back later, (or at least that's the plan). 

Ideally I also wouldn't have signed anyone with a single digit (Det) attribute, but I couldn't bring myself to cull (44o) Gorgerat (KOS)(SUI), (44i) Spahiu (KOS)(ALB), (44f) Van Dooren (KOS)(BEL) or (44b) Felbinger (KOS)(GER). 

Now for the players we did sign. 

(44a) Lindström (KOS)(FIN) looks amazing, but we really don't need another DL. 

We're short at right back and this is actually a player I really like the look of, (although he does have some physical issues). 

Oh I really like this bloke. 

What is the point of having 16 passing but only 4 vision?

NxGn 2044. Mar 2044.

It's taken a while, but we've finally got a player on the NxGn list, (and another one as a brucey bonus!)

(42a) Krasniqi 5'11" is our 2nd Team central centre-half and I have thrown him in early to try and boost his development. Although he's only made 8(1) league appearances this season, he's started 9 Champions League games this season so he's seen more playing time than suggested. He's not listed as a wonderkid. 

(41d) Hasani (Spirit) 5'7" * weas going to be 2nd Team WBL this season, but when Ballkani came in to loan him I had a change of heart anticipating that he would play more for them as 1st choice than he would for us as 2nd choice. The fact that he has made 21(8) appearances in all competitions with us having 14 games still left to play suggests that I made the correct decision. Despite the fact that he's 5'8" and has jumping of 8, Ballkani have been playing him as a centre-half.

SuperLeague. After 22 league games without conceding, we went and conceded a goal in 3 different games this month. 

Kosovan Cup. Ballkani are the 2nd best team in the Country, but when asked to play 4 games in 3 weeks, (3 times against us), they just can't live with us. 2 lots of 9's and a 6 show the gulf in class.

SuperLeague. It's our 1st 100%  season with 36 wins from 36 games. It's also the 1st time that we've conceded single figure goals in a league season. The only frustrating part of that is that 2 of the 7 goals were conceded this month, and 3 more last month, meaning that we conceded 5 goals in the last 2 months of the season and just 2 goals in the 7 months prior to that. 

Kosovan Cup. Maybe my glass is just half-full today, but when I look at these fixtures all I see is the 1 goal conceded rather than the 51 goals scored. 

Goal-scoring GK's. 27 goals is a brilliant return for a GK over 1 season, but I'm really frustrated actually because 27 goals in a season is my record and I don't think anyone else has scored more. (32g) Kadriu 6'1" scored his 27th goal in the Llapi hame so we had 2 games to score a 28th, but he didn't manage it. The real problem though is that although he scored 27 goals in a season, (which is amazing), his failed 9 (NINE) times from the spot.  He was unhappy for every single 1 of these missed penalties, and sometimes all it takes is unhappiness over individual training. I really need to check before every single game. In fact, checking on the day of the game isn't enough, (because there won't be enough time to resolve the unhappiness), so I really need to check the day before each game.

(33e) Shumeli scored 43 goals in 37(17) appearances. That's a whopping 25 goals down on last season's tally of 68 goals. I don't think that's a reflection on him and instead I think his supporting wide strikers performed much better this season and scored more goals.

This is silly. Jun 2044. 

Last season in the Jan transfer window I bought 9 of our Academy products from the other 9 clubs in the Kosovan SuperLeague, (just to give them £10M each). I have no intention of playing any of them and they are all available to be loaned and or sold. 

(36d) Lakti. (SELL) is one of these and I have offered him out for £1,000 plus 25% plus a friendly. 

The bids from Lokomotiv Moscow and Partizan Belgrade are just the sort of thing I was looking for. 

There were 2 other bids though. For £4.6M(£6M) and £2.9M(£6.25M). 

His valuation was falsely inflated because we bought him for £10M, but he's obviously not worth anything like that.
