Bernardo Araújo
In today's football, a team does not use just one tactic but differs greatly when is In possession and out of possession. Football Manager is said to be a game that simulates the real life of a manager, however, in tactical terms there is still a lot to evolve. I think it is very important for us (online managers) to have some freedom in making our own tactics. For example, attacking in a 3-2-5 and defending in a 4-3-3, and putting the players exactly where we want . We see managers joining the full-back to the central defenders (in the construction phase) and forming a line 3 or even a central defender joining the midfield (like Pep Guardiola often does with John Stones) and this is impossible to reflect in Football Manager, among many other things. I think that tactical freedom, which we currently don't have in the game, is essential and very important in a game that wants to replicate the "life" of a manager. Please give attention to this request.
Andros
Hi, a long time ago Fm had this (called wibwob). It was highly exploited at that time. This link: has a bit of a discussion on it .
pedrosantos
That could be achieved with player roles with and without the ball and maybe, considering the discussion on the other topic, it would be less problematic.
SI Staff Zachary Whyte Posted May 3, 2023 SI Staff Share Posted May 3, 2023 Thank you for the suggestion. This will be put under further consideration by the developers and this could feature in a future FM.
