Skin Colour Changing

I am totally new to this whole skinning lark with FM, I'm only trying to change the base colours of the standard skin as I find the current setup to give me headaches after a short while of being used and haven't been able to find any other skins that work for me either.

I just trying to find out where/how I can change base colours from one colour to another, is it just 1 file that would need changing the RGB setup or is it done another way.  Also how do you go about working out what name tag relates to what section?

I would suggest downloading the base skin done by michaeltmurrayuk.  Most of the colours are controlled in the settings/base22 settings.xml file.  There are instructions in that thread for changing the colours.

I think if you do not need a light skin then 100% of the changes can be made in settings.xml

Thank you, Ive have downloaded and am using it as a test skin for changes.    I've read the guide(s) and am not sure if all of the colour panels are individually coded in a separate file or if they are all within the settings file?
