I have read the tactics times over, I have adapted my formations to what the reports say are most vulnerable, i always have the possession bar higher than the opponents but I hit the bar or post too often 

I played my last match opp keep broke his finger so I put shoot on sight 

they then had a player sent off so I up the tempo 

I lost 3-1 

this game is impossible

You don't need a  possession bar higher than the opponents. You need more goals than the opponent.

Not sure why you posted this as it's essentially just a rant.

Shoot on sight doesn't equal goals. Maybe the players were now being wasteful with their shots? Did you look?

You upped the tempo but upped it from what? The tempo increased, so players spend less time on the ball, so the ball goes forward quicker. Did you have the numbers forward by then? Didn't your players now rush play? Are they able to handle the higher tempo by having good mental and technical attributes that help with this?
