glennuk
Gee Cee- Farense - A Portuguese Rollercoaster - Oct-Dec - 2015/2016 - Gee Cee continues to try to find a solution to the consistency problem that has kept its ugly head reared through the start of his journey in Portugal. Is it a language barrier? Tactical error? It can;t be team morale as that is at an all time high, so how can an English Manager get a Portuguese team to consistently play well? Fixtures & Results October was a month to remember. Records were broken, allowing Gee Cee to go down in the annals of time at Farense. Unbeaten and looking strong, until our good old friend inconsistency hit once again in mid November and showed no signs of disappearing throughout the winter. Luckily the board are still 100% behind this English manager, and with the transfer window now opening we can strengthen some key positions. League Table We are still steadily climbing the league despite our inconsistent nature. 10th is above the media prediction and the board are happy that we have even floated around the 6th and 7th spots over the last few months. If we can get another few runs going we are in with a good chance of finishing within the top half of the table and making a name for Farense and Gee Cee. Squad Our squad has really got it together in October, but with some Injuries to the likes of Yombo and some inconsistent performances from our front line of Michael and Kito we have some things to consider in January. A few new players are bound to arrive to bolster our attacking threat, and with Iris and Gomes likely to leave there is room for some squad players to be recruited. Should be an exciting period in the life of Farense. Watch the link for a more in depth Review
glennuk
Gee Cee- Farense - Making Progress - Jan - Mar - 2015/2016 - ) Gee Cee continues on the way to make Farense a fighting force in the Second League. Between the months of January and March there have been a few changes and progress is slowly being made by the club. Fixtures & Results Once again an inconsistent few months, January started the new year with no wins and things were not looking great for Gee Cee. However things were turned around in February with some great performances, a comeback to remember and a bit of consistency....short lived was that consistency as March turned into the usual mixed bag of results. League Table Despite the mixed results Farense are still climbing the table, albeit a slight climb. Up to 9th although a top half finish is the best we can hope for, with the top two seemingly impossible for anyone to catch at this rate. However Gee Cee and the Farense board will be happy if we can stay in the top 10, which is certainly the goal now. Squad A few new players bolstered the club, and particularly Jorge Santos has impressed. He could be an inspired buy for less than 6k. Kito is still banging them in, Michael is pulling hsi weight and Capela is still doing a captains duty and leading by example. Transfers A Goalkeeper, Winger, Striker, Left Back, Centre Mid, and a Right back came in, whilst only an unhappy iris left.
