Nottingham Forest
If a work permit for a player fails. The likelihood of a player ever being granted a work permit for your club is slim. Work permits generally work off the basis of a player playing 75% of his nations competitive games over two years. That nation also has to be in the top seventy of the world. There can be special circumstances if a player is deemed a good prospect that will have a good effect on the nation you are managing in. There a few other ways of getting players to successfully gain work permits. Those would be having a feeder club in Belgium, Spain or nations where foreign players are able to play more freely and then having them gain that nationality after a few years. Which would then enable you to bring them back to your club without the need for a work permit. The only other way would be to hope they move to one of these nations before yours and then gain that nationality so you are able to sign them afterwards if the opportunity arises.
