MAINBOY
You can get some bargains in this league but everytime ive went for a player from there i cant get them because of the work permit rule. Does anyone know why is the work permit rule in the USA. Thanks
Cavenagh
Your question is phrased confusingly. Are you asking what the work permit criteria is for a player to play in the MLS? Or for the country you're managing in (if not the U.S.A.)? Or why a work permit is required for a foreign national to work in the U.S.A?
looknohands
If you're managing in England and try to sign a player from the US, you'll need a work permit- the typical standard is for a player to have played about 70% of the possible national team games for the past year, I believe. I don't know if it's in the game or not, but there's also a certain level that a player's national team must play at- I believe it's ranked 70 or above- in order to obtain a work permit. Omar Cummings of Jamaica was training with Aston Villa this spring, but couldn't join the club due to Jamaica not being ranked high enough.
