Kawee
I'm thinking about creating a classic formation. I thought the Brazil 4-2-4 would be an interesting one. Yes, 4 players across the front line!!!! I can already imagine how wonderful it could be. However, I don't have much knowledge of it. I first learned of it while reading Inverting the Pyramid by Jonathan Wilson. I don't have the copy with me right now. I'd really appreciate it if anyone here who has good knowledge of the formation would enlighten me. I don't mean in FM terms. I mean in general football language. I want to try and translate it into FM by myself. One of the main questions I want to know is whether the wide-forwards dropped back to defend at all? How far forward did the fullbacks push (ie. did it become 2-4-4 or 2-2-6?) Did they cross the ball often? Were their a lot of interchanging runs, or was it rigid? Were the CBs Brazilian ball-playing CBs as well? I just want t a good idea of what the tactic was like, so I can try and recreate it on FM. Cheers.
