Need help improving my tactic

Ive got a 442 set up trying to play fast attacking football creating lots of chances with a mid table team.

Forwards: pacy striker as a poacher and a deep lying forward to support him

Midfield: 2 wingers with cross rarely but cutting inside and playing lots of through balls and rarely shooting from distance, this should see the ball in the box more and more chances created as my forwards arent good in the air

Center mid: One advanced playmaker with lots of though balls and one defensive CM - would appreciate some tips on how to improve this area

Defence: Full backs with one limited defender and one ball player

As im mid table and looking to get into Europe I need to modify my tactic so I can use it most matches but be solid at the back and fast attacking, similar to Manchester United.

Bit undetailed...what I find works is set the whole team to tight marking, have your wingers, supporting striker and attacking CM set to roam from position and then have your defensive mid the same mentality as center backs. Thats a base, check out my new tactic as a helper...or just use it!
