Flemming1966
Hi. There is something I dont understand. When a playing commit a penalty he has done something stupid, yes. Now, in FM2010 the rating of that player only drops if the other team scores on that penalty. Why? He still did something stupid. If the goalkeeper saves it, the rating for the goalkeeper should go up, and the guy that did the foul should still get a drop in rating. Am i missing a 'football beginner handbook' here, or what? MrPompey
Perhaps his rating is on how he influenced the game e.g. gives away penalty thats not scored. maybe he made just one mistake and great the rest of the time I think we'd need Paul C to confirm how the ME acts in this circumstance. lucatonix
I think the player rating also affects the player's confidence, so the player gets a small drop for conceding the penalty but if it's scored then the player feels responsible and undergoes a further drop in rating, however if the penalty is saved then the player can forget about the his mistake and carry on. So to keep the player acting realistically the player rating acts like it does but in real life, the player still has done something stupid.
