  • Can't move senior and youth players from first or reserve team to u18 team ? can't recruit or renew U18 staff in Scotland lower league

    Reported below at FM22 beta. tested it in league two(scotland) with promoted teams after holiday season and with a team from the start. Same issues are in the game.

    =>Very strange, i can't put youth players ( 15/16/17 year olds) or any other player in my u18 after promoting them in my first team squad..

    But i can promote anyone from U18 to first or reserve team:

    other issues:

    No U18 friendlies arranged by staff.

    can't place an advert for the U18 staff

    If i want to renew any of them, i only can offer a first team or reserve team contract , no u18 contract

    i can't place adverts or find new staff for my U18 . And this is my staff resp setting, it wasn't like this when i started:

    I have the same issue. I started with Bonnyrigg Rose in League 2. We got promoted in my first season, and I'd hoped that between that and getting a new youth intake this issue would resolve itself, but it hasn't.

    This also applies to reserve teams. My Bonnyrigg Rose team (started in League Two) just got promoted to the Premiership, turn professional, added a reserve team, and I still can't do any of the things mentioned above for either the Reserves or the U18s.

    Update: the pre-season started, and now this has all resolved itself. Not sure what caused it to fix itself, but it was either starting a new season as a professional team, having a reserve team, or being asked if I wanted my reserve and youth team to participate in "competitive" leagues. This is still a bug though for everyone who starts out like I did.

    Update: with the 23.2 patch, it now appears possible to move players to/from U18 squads attached to League 2 sides (I tested with East Fife).

    It is, sadly. Cannot recruit manually or through placing adverts. The option to even post an advert is greyed out. Cannot assign any staff to manage U18 matches or friendlies, even my HoYD.
